    Black Owl

RIP Black Owl, you will be missed... Craig
  3. And if I ever thought I was going to live this long, I would have taken a helluva lot better care of myself:95: Craig
  4. Hey sorry about that, thought we signed up already. Wouldnt miss it tho. Would really be nice to see some of the old timers show up! Craig & Kim
  5. I have the RSV with the hannigan kit, it will shake its head at low speeds on uneven roads or if I hit a bump, but it doesnt shake all the time at low speeds. Tire pressure seems to be pretty important on trikes, and steering head bearing tightness. Contact Carbon1, Larry is his name and he is pretty sharp on trikes. Craig
  6. Hate to see you give up, one guy on here just posted about parting out a 1st gen, have you given any thought to swapping out the whole carb set. Hell as many times as you have done it already its probably only a 10 min job for you. Take a break for a week or two and then give it another shot. All the best, Craig
  7. Your freakin killing me here!!!! No really, glad you had a good time and Thanks for sharing. Craig
  8. Yep, I always store them with seafoam too. I put it in everything that has a spark plug!
  9. Boy a lot of that going around lately, every other thread is on leaky carbs. Wonder if there is that much difference in the gas in different parts of the country? Do you normally store with Stabil or Seafoam? I hate to say it, but I have never had to deal with that problem, I guess I have just been lucky??? Still way to much snow around here to even bother firing them up. Craig
  10. I took an old stock windshield and cut it down to about 6" wanted that Street Glide look. Spent about 2 hrs taping it off, cutting it down and sanding the edge. Put it on the bike and went up the highway about 1 mile at 60mph. Came rite back home and took it rite off. Buffeting was brutal, talk about a "bad hair day":Bunny2: Craig
  11. Hard to tell what we actually got here in Pa. It was blowing around so hard we got about 2' on my deck but only about a 18" on the driveway. Its gonna be a mess for awhile around here! Craig
  12. Hey nice Jeep, hard to believe Josh didnt want the orange one?? Craig
  13. Guess we are supposed to get hit pretty good, hope they are wrong!! Just in case I loaded up the firewood, fired up the snoblower and filled up the bathtub. Ready!!!! Craig
  14. Beautiful bike, you will get the carbs dialed in and next year you will be able to laugh about it! Craig
  15. Only when my wife does... Sorry couldnt resist:big-grin-emoticon:
  16. I have never heard of John, but after reading the article, it sounds like he had a serious "need for speed" He had quite a few amazing accomplishments on both 2 and 4 wheels. RIP John... Craig
  17. I have been kicking around the idea of a toyhauler for too long? My idea was to buy an 8x20 rear ramp door trailer and fit the interior out to my design. That way you are starting out with a stronger frame design, 3/4" flooring, the built in ramp door and lower load angle. After looking at the pros and cons I decided to look for a good deal on a used toyhauler? and I am still looking. If you wanted to build one to suit you, I think I would start with a rear ramp car hauler. Just my 2cents. Good Luck Craig
  18. Hey, we are interested!! So please follow up with any updates. Somebody else is gonna have this same problem down the line and you mite be able to save them alot of grief. Keep at it, you will figure it out!! Craig
  19. Very sorry for your loss, pretty sure we had dinner with Ricky at last years MD. Sat with him a Quaker Steak, enjoyed a nice talk with him. He will be missed... RIP Rick Craig
  20. Sorry to hear about your battle with cancer, but it sounds like you are holding your own. Will keep you in our thoughts, keep up the good fight and vent on here whenever you feel the need. All the best!! Craig
  21. Thanks for the offer, but my tenting days are long gone. Craig
  22. Funny you bring up BikeWeek. I was just saying to my wife this is the first time I would even consider riding my bike to Florida from Pa. at this time of year. It was 75 here yesterday and 70 today. This would be the year to do it!! How far away from Daytona would I have to travel to find a hotel room if I didnt have a reservation? Craig
  23. Sorry Dan, she was way too young... Craig
  24. You can split the fairing, look for connection wire to back of aux. port. There is a connector you can take apart, buy a "y" connector and plug it in, then plug a 3ft extension wire into open leg of "y" run that wire out to handlebars and plug into your ipod. You wont need to use the aux socket on tape player and you can keep that door closed. Total cost about 7bucks. About 1hr to complete. You can tape connections inside fairing to keep them good and tight. Good time to clean and dielectric grease all radio connections while you have it apart. Craig
  25. I have a Denon recvr for at least 15yrs, has never been in a shop, and I crank her up pretty good on a regular basis. It actually replaced the Yamaha recvr I had. I was really into that stuff years ago and I still prefer the old stuff. I have a Sony ES9000 DVd player that has never been in a shop and I still think it does a better job then my bluray setup. My vote goes to the Denon. Craig
