  1. Looks like an amazing adventure and you kept that beautiful bike shined up along the way! Very cool! Craig
  2. You are a "lucky guy" looking forward to your report! Thanks, Craig
  3. Depends how you feel about crowds you mite want to avoid Bike Week in Laconia. Usually around 3rd week of June. Things get pretty booked up and alot of crazzies. We went north thru NY to Whiteface area, then across Lake Champlain at bottom. Stopped at Rutland area and hit Ben and Jerrys, Hit some small towns in N. Vermont then over to Mt Washington, Kangamuncas area. Went to Crystal Beach Winnapasaki area looped around bottom and NE to Kennebunkport Maine, beautiful little town and beach. Then rode down along the coast till we hit NY. Beautiful ride, took 9 days no reservations, no rush. Craig
  4. Little too soon to commit, but if we can, we will be there. Has always been a great start to our summer. Any new guys on the fence about going should definetly stop in its a great time, you wont regret it. Just stick your hand out and say hello. Kid/family friendly and any question/idea you have been wondering about, somebody did it and can help you. Craig
  5. Show up on time, everytime with a smile! Do everything you say you are going to do in the quote, then do alittle extra! Leave the work area cleaner then when you arrived. Drop cloths and vacuum cleaners. Bill for exactly what you quoted. When I look back over 35yrs I think this list would be a great start, goes without saying you need to do a quality job. Your smarts, excellent bussiness savy. Great natural personality and even tempermant, will make this alot easier then you think. You're a natural and will do well. In 2 yrs you will have 3 trucks, 3 guys doing installs, you'll be selling, ordering and checking completed work, with alot of free time in between. Enjoy! Craig
  6. Bike looks beautiful, hope you enjoy it! Craig
  7. Congrats Don, I remember talking with you about being home more 2 yrs ago at MD you were struggling then with the idea. I know its alittle scary having never been self employed but I absolutely believe you are the perfect guy for it, and I know you are going to do very well. Believe me your whole life can change in a heartbeat, do what you enjoy, try something new. This is the perfect oppurtunity for you, you had a year to learn the ins/outs and now you can take it to the next level. You are a smart guy, you are going to kick yourself for not doing it sooner. I was self employed for 35yrs, you have already recvd alot of good advice here. All the best, Craig
  8. Eliquos, they said at least 6 months. Craig
  9. Little setback this week, ended up with blood clot in lower left leg, went up thru heart and ended up in lung. Hard to believe how bad one of those can make you feel. After 2 days in hospital, back home now with more pills? Feeling pretty good, just very tired. Went for 2nd opinion at UPenn, DR there agreed with all my current Dr is doing so we felt pretty good about that. I just appreciate all the kind words and prayers, dont really need any other help rite now, but Thank You for the offer. Craig
  10. He will do pretty much whatever you want, best $$$$$ you will spend on a seat. He did 3 of mine! Nicest guy you will ever work with. Craig
  11. Thank you for the kind words, thoughts and prayers. They really mean alot and are really helpful on the "bad" days. We are doing pretty good, holding up pretty well, guess its going to be a long year. One thing for sure I ought to be well rested. I spend 3/4 of my life in a recliner!!! Thanks again, Craig
  12. Thanks to everyone for their prayers, kind words and thoughts, they mean alot rite now and are truly appreciated. I got a good laugh Puc and know exactly what you mean when you say you look like someone from a concentration camp, it was my very first thought when walking by my mirror. Thanks again, Craig
  13. Been trying to figure out an easy way to bring this up since December, but unfortunately I dont believe there is an easy way so I will just put it out there. I have been having some problems with what I believed to be a sprained back since Sept. After all types of therapy with poor results they decided to do some testing as well as imaging. Beginning of Dec. I was diagnosed with Multiple Myloma it is a rare bone marrow cancer, that eats away at your bone, I have already had one operation on my spine and will probably need more. There is no cure but there are treatments to get it to remission and then a bone marrow transplant. Kim and I are both doing well, we are trying to keep positive, laugh every chance we get and hope for the best. I have gone from 190lbs to 155lbs in 2 months and aged about 10yrs. Hopefully we can turn that around. I started treatments this week and so far have been tolerating them pretty well. Dont know if we will be doing any riding this year, but I am holding out hope and that trike just mite make it possible. Well you are all caught up, hopefully I can share some better news as the treatments continue. Thanks Craig
  14. Great to hear from you Dan, my last memory with you and Rose, was sitting on Don's guesthouse porch. WE were Bsing at MD and you were trying to put names to faces. You were hoping to get your electrical bus. up and running, hope things are going well for you. Craig
  15. Dont mean to hi-jack but will that chrome Strat front wheel fit on the RSV? Sure would look nice on my trike! Craig
  16. If they put square headlites on it, it could be the new Avanti Craig
  17. Ya mite want to check to be sure nothing got stuck between the clutch handle and its return stop. Something like a wire, or cable or any other foreign object that keeps the clutch handle from returning to the stop. Dont ask me how I know about these things, but it can interfere with a nice ride! Craig
  18. Congrats Jay, thats a great looking rig! Is it the one you were looking at in Pa? Hope you and Jeannie enjoy many carefree miles n smiles. Craig
  19. Happy Birthday Evan!! Hope its a great day for you. Craig
  20. Back in my day you pulled a little red wagon around the neighborhood. Going door to door collecting rags and newspapers, then take them to the "rag shop" to be weighed and paid. Then off to the Strand theater to see a double feature, cartoons and news for 25 cents:mo money:
  21. Recvd shirts, Thanks Lewis:thumbsup2: Craig
  22. I am 5'5" I owned an 87 VR, I would not recommend that bike for a beginner. You can have the seat shaved lower and narrower but you are still not going to be able to flat foot it. I think it would take a very long time for you to feel comfortable on that bike. Craig
  23. I cant comment on the comparison of the 2 bikes, but I will say there are quite a few different ways to get the seat ht on a 2nd gen alot lower. Also I am sure your wife will enjoy the comforts of the 2nd gen. A taller wider windshield will keep alot of the wind off her too. Craig
  24. Ya better put some $$$$$ aside to cover speeding tickets:mo money: Craig
  25. Take care of yourself and your family, we'll be here when you get caught up! Craig
