Bob, I am really sorry to hear about this, I had an elderly woman do the exact same thing to me, and she had the same response, I was alone and not banged up too bad but I would have never forgiven myself if my daughter would have been on the back. I think your friend will have a difficult time getting over this accident. I understand it was not his fault and not blaming him for anything I just cant imagine loosing my grand daughter like that. I wish him the very best. Craig

I had the tall one on my 87, my wife loved it, made all the difference for her. She is 5'3" by the way, dont know if you would get the same results if she was alot taller. As soon as I got the 06, the first thing she wanted was the taller shield, I got the one with the vent, I like the vent. Good Luck craig
