  6. Welcome to the site Owen, anybody named Owen can be bad, that's the name of my second eldest grandson. Hope you visit often and I'm sure you already know this is a crazy bunch on here, with some having a very serious eating disorder ...they can't seem to get enough of cheesecake for some unknown reason....so jump right in with both feet. Ian
  7. I think you are right Condor, I am on this site every day, most days I post 1-2-or 3 times and other days I just read, its interesting to see...between this thread and Don's...the number of user names that I don't recognize, which is fine some people don't like to "get involved" but for the wealth of information we get here, the friendly jabs that go around and the meet & eats that get us together, it is surely worth the small donation for me alone. Just my Ian PS, Can't wait for DON'S M.D to meet all those that are going.
  8. Glad to hear you had a safe trip Lonna. Hope your mother is doing well and continues to get better. Ian

  13. Thaks for the reply Boomer, when you wired in the toggle was it one 10 guage wire on the Red wire and one on the Brown/Blue. Ian
  14. I know this subject has been beaten to death, I am no electrical wizard and I've read the fix for the ignition switch, what I'm not sure of, the 2 red 10g wires going to the toggle switch, is one connected to the Brown/Blue and one to the red, or is the Br/Bl and red joined together and then the two 10g wires attached to that. My ignition would come on when the key is between the Acc and On, but when it went to the On position the dash cut out but radio still worked. I was trying to loosen those screws that hold the switch with a hammer and punch...I was a millright we were good with a hammer...and now the switch is working again, I've tried wiggling the key and off and on and its still working. So was it a contact problem and would putting in this "Emergency switch" solve the problem should it occur again. So my dilemma is do, I leave it or wire in this toggle switch. Advice Please. Ian
  15. Ron, I really admire your courage, life throws us some difficult challenges, how we react to them and face them depends on the inner strength of that person, you along with Freebird seem to be dealing with these adversity's in an outstanding manner. I have read your journal and found it very touching and inspirational the way you are dealing with this terrible disease, as I mentioned in another thread I found out about a month ago that I have prostate cancer, I've had all the scans and it is confined to the prostate..so far..now I have to wait for the surgeon and though mine is more minor than yours I think we all go through the denial and the "can't be me" phase. What I'm getting at is, whatever our lot in life is, we have to make the best of a bad situation and live life to the fullest, don't put off untill tomorrow what can be done today, always tell those close to you that you love them and if you've got a "Bucket List" follow it through. God bless and keep you and your family Ron Ian

  24. Sounds like a good plan, the only draw back would be that prices and the cost of living would go through the roof, because everyone would want a piece of the pie. Ian
