Turning 60 on the 31st of Jan though my brain keeps telling me I'm 20, but the body say's something else, what ya gonna do, I'll keep riding till I fall off. My wife and co-rider is 58 yrs young. -
I do the same, run her till she get's hot...20/25 Mins...Full tank with stablizer in it and Battery tender plugged in, done the same the last couple of years with no problems. Only other thing is she's up on a jack, wont go out if there is salt on the road. Ian

Hey Craig, I could round up a few Canucks to join the party at Squids...I'm sure he wouldn't mind... We might even find a cheese cake in the fridge Ian
-
Yes Craig, Peggy's cove is quite the place, really nice houses and lighthouse and it seemed fitting that it was overcast when we were at the memorial, considering what happened a few miles off shore. Ian

Just got back from a 2 week trip to Nova Scotia, we traveled through some beautiful scenary in NY, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine...though some of Maine's roads were in bad shape....We passed Mt Washington where some of the locals told us that it had the highest wind gusts anywhere. On the way across we stayed in Syracuse, St Johnsburg and St Johns NB then on to Baddeck in Cape Breton. We did the Cabot Trail which was gorgeous then down to Sackville just out of Halifax to our campsite. We saw the tall ships in Halifax and boarded quite a few, went down to Peggy's Cove and saw the Swiss Air monument, then Lunenburg...which was the sunniest day we had, when we got back to the camp ground we had a lobster feast set up and went through 24 lbs between 8 of us and only cost $50 a couple. On the way back we went through Lake Placid, then crossed Lake Champlain on the ferry from Burlington. In all we did 6000 km, had a great time in spite of the lousey weather and no problem with the bike at all, unlike the Hondas that went, one of the Valkyries had his alternator crap out...$1100 to get another...the other had his rear brakes go and a Gold wing had to have the rear tire replaced. Sorry we couldn't make the Rally, just to much going on at the moment. Hope everyone has fun. Great news Cindy, I hope he does the whole sentence and no early parole. By the time he gets out he won't know if he's been punched, bored or reemerd. Ian

Geez Brad it looks like you got lucky that it didn't flip over, I'm glad that nothing more serious happened. Hope you get the new scoot up and running soon. Ian

Keep plugging Cindy, the SOB will get his just due...one way or another... Ian

I have mine through Riders Plus...using Echelon Gen Ins Co...and the renewal....for Aug..... is $776 with full coverage, it was $775 last year, so a dollar increase is not bad, maybe I should check out TD to see what they say. Ian

Sorry Randy, I can't find anything on this. Ian

Russ, They had the moving wall at last years ride, it was a pretty awesome and sobering sight, as I looked at all the names I couldn't help being quite saddened thinking that they all once lived, loved and were loved, it seemed like a tragic waste of youth. On one site for the Windsor monument you can click on the names and it gives you all the information on that particular person, their age, rank, when their tour started, their casualty date and how they died. I was very surprised to see that most only made it 1 year and there were a few that died the same day as their tour started, average age, 21, it was enough to bring one to tears. Sorry if I'm ranting on a bit but this is something that I feel passionate about, as we are engaged in Afghanistan and have had our soldiers killed, It makes my blood boil when I hear these whiners go on about what our guys are doing over there. The popular bumper sticker here is "If you can't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them". Ian
