There are six of us heading from Windsor to Colorado on the 9th of Aug and intend to take 3 or 4 days getting there, we have 3 weeks to explore the state and would like to get some info on camp grounds in the N, central and SE. We will be doing the Northern rides, then down to the SE. There are a couple of camp grounds that seem pretty good, one around Dolores...Priest Gulch....and Durango...Riverside Resort& RV....any help or suggestions that anyone may have would be appreciated. Glad you guys are having a great time, did you manage to get any prospecting done? Get the frying pan out and get some swishing done on the banks of a river, you never know what you may dig up. Ride safe Ian & Pat

Great Pics Al, It was good to see you again. Ian -
It was nice to meet you Monty, there's alot of people that I didn't get to meet and that happens when you get so many people in a 1 or 2 day event, the more times you go the better it gets. Like you said you were a very busy man and doing an excellent job from what I could see, maybe on the next one you'll get to socialize a bit more. This is a really good crowd and I don't think anyone would knowingly try to give the impression of being unfriendly or aloof. Would they!!!! Ian

Pat and I should be good to go, can't speak for Randy...gunkylump...or Beth, but I'm sure they would go along with it to. Ian -
There are alot of us ``camping`` at the Comfort Inn Howard, so you`ll have plenty of company. As Squidley said most of us cancelled when some of the guys were getting the run around, so they can insert their rooms where the sun don`t shine. Ian

Count us both in, looking forward to it. Its gonna be great to see everyone again. Ian & Pat Hey TJ, we are probably going to hook up with Carbon One on Fri at the same exit...15.... as last year... off I75....it would be nice to join up again and anyone else going from Michigan or Ontario is welcome. Ian

Used the hospital bottle when we camped out in Nova Scotia last year, though the neck of the bottle was a little small....lol. Ian

This is not motorcycle related but I think its important that people know about these particular device's that some sicko's have been producing. I'd hate for some kids to get ahold of one of these things. See the video at the bottom of the article in Snopes. http://www.snopes.com/crime/warnings/bottlebomb.asp Ian

Did that last year, beautiful scenery on the Cabot trail, did Peggy's Cove, Halifax and Lunenburgh. Next year one of the guy's I ride with is retiring and his dream is to do New Mexico, so we are going to have an all guy run down through the Appellations cross through Texas into NM, may do the Grand Canyon, carry on out and do the Pacific Coast hwy up to BC then back across Canada home. We figure about 2 mths to do the trip, lots of male bonding...lol...can't wait. Ian

I guess that means its open season on bikers, that is a disgusting verdict. Ian

I to watched the finale of the series Pacific and did not know that it was based on some actual marines, it was quite moving to see the pictures of the men portrayed in the movie and could not imagine what they went through. Ian

I know that we have many active and retired military personnel on this site and I thought that this might be a piece of history that may intereset you. Ian http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=vcnH_kF1zXc&feature=player_embedded This is the official film made of the surrender ceremony of the Japanese to McArthur in Tokyo Bay Sept 1945, with the actual voice of the General. Apparently this has never been shown to the general public before.
