  1. Thanks for the heads up Jim. I am looking for heated gloves and I guess this is one company to avoid. Ian
  2. Sorry Don, I seem to procrastinate, why do today, what you can do on Christmas eve. Besides what do you get for the woman who has everything....me...:rotf: Ian
  3. Ron, I don't believe you need a passport to come over here, but I think it is needed to get back to the states. I guess it's always handy to have one anyway. Looking forward to meeting you and putting face's to the many handles on here. Ian
  4. From one of the Canuck's, welcome to the site, if you have not already seen, you can get alot of good advice and tips and like Yammer Dan get into trouble with some of our female members...friendly banter...Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and the New Year brings everything you hope for. It would be good if you could make Don's MD, It'll be my first also, hope to see you there. Ian
  5. Orchid flower stuffed with crab meat, they were really crunchy and delicious. Had them at the Cirque du Soliel in the VIP tent. Ian

  7. Fantastic Lew, you and the guys really made some children very happy and that's what it's all about. To see all the smiles would be payment enough for the hard work put into it. It goes along way to show that biker's aren't necessarily the stereotypical bad boy's. Good on you:happy65: Ian
  8. I have "The long way round" dvd Lou, it was quite a trip and your right I don't think our bikes would have made it. I also wouldn't have liked the cuisine in Mongolia, goat or sheep testicles doesn't do it for me. It was actually from London to NY, 15 weeks and 20,000 miles...I don't think most people could get that much time off....well worth buying to watch on those cold winter nights and dream about. Ian
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't most of their products come from China India and Korea. How much is made in North America?? Just asking. Ian
  10. Amen to that Ozzie. I stood outside the church for Andrew Grenon's funeral and I was amazed and proud of the number of Windsorites who lined the cortege route, from school children to elderly veterans standing in the rain to pay their final respects. God bless all our troops and their families. Ian They will be greatly missed, the mission will go on, but THEY! WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! Ozzie http://www.torontosun.com/news/2008/12/08/7677991.html
  11. All the best Don, here's hoping and praying for good test results. Ian
  12. That's one nice looking machine...for a Harley...lol. Ian
  13. Glad you had a great time Gary, sun and sand is way better than grey, wet and cold. By the way Squidley is having a M & E on Sat, hope you can make it. Ian
  14. These web sites may give you some idea. The first is for bikes and the second for cars. Hope this helps. Ian http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Tires.html http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=11
  15. For those who may need more questions answered, check this site out. Ian http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/Detection/PSA
  16. Now what did you do to deserve this bruce???? Ian
  17. SO the world isn't ending!!! you had us worried for a bit Brad. Nice reply by the way, very well said. Ian
  18. I had 3 days where I had to drink this god awefull stuff, man was I cleaned out, then on the day of the procedure had to give myself a Fleet but it wasn't oral, had to stick it you know where!! And like you say ....Booooooommmm..... all over. Ian
  19. Good cause Kevin, I have done this ride in Windsor for the last 2 years and this year we had 789 riders, pretty impressive to see that many bikes lined up. The prostate is the easiest test to have done and there's no reason for putting it off, get past the snap of the Dr's glove for the digital exam and blood for the PSA and its a breeze. The colonoscopy is not to bad I had it done this summer, you don't feel anything, they put me out for it, the worst part is drinking all that crap to make you "go". All guys need to git-ur-dun for peace of mind. Ian
  20. Jim, I wish you all the best and you're right all guys over 50 should get the test done. I recently got a call from my Dr after I had the PSA test and he wants me to have another as it was slightly elevated, so I go on the 10th of this month for the retest and have to see him on the 17th so we'll see how that goes. Good luck to you. Ian
  21. Brad I'm in a similar position as you except that I did work for GM and after working for them for almost 30yrs I took early retirement last May, partly because it would save some of the younger guys their jobs, but I had everything paid off and figured that I could manage on the pension that I'd start to collect next June..I'm in a grow in right now...if GM goes belly up I'm in deep doo doo, what with loss of pension and retirement savings halved due to the economy I'd have to rely on the state pension when I turn 60. What I'm getting at is, since I got back into riding motorcycles this past couple of years and have become affiliated with the group of people on this site, even though I've never met most of them, I know there are alot of people in a more difficult position than I am and we try to help them out by encouragement, prayers and finances where possible, which makes us Family, all brothers and sisters with Don as the Big Daddy...sorry Don...no matter in good times or bad times we are there for each other as family should be. So anything you need to help out, NO PROBLEM. Besides I need someone show me how to get to Don's next year. Ian PS Just found out I'm a grt uncle for the 4th time, my niece in England had a boy this morning 6lb 7oz.
  22. I'll vouch for that Mini, I've seen alot of NORMAL people on here Ian
  23. I have also added the crash bar support works really well. This is the thread. Ian http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6069
  24. Wow Brad that's a shocker, sorry to hear this, I was hoping we could have rode down to Don's together next year ( and if things turn around we probably still could) I suppose I could get a sidecar put on mine and still pick you up. Ian
