Need a little advice, I have the pumpkin off and when I had it sitting on a slight angle oil was seeping out of the holes that can be seen in the pic...where the leaf stalk is....there is nothing coming from the outside of the coupling gear. So I was wondering if this is normal, I can't see any sort of seal being around that inner part on the exploded view of a diagram.

I also have to agree with everyone else, by using the gears I can bring the bike to almost a complete stop without even touching the brakes in regular traffic, just by reading whats going on ahead of me. I think your friend must go through alot of brake pads. Ian

One last time: THE 'WHINE'!
ibents replied to Bluesman's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Can't say that I've really heard this so called whine, weather it has one or not I wouldn't know if it was normal, mind you I haven't had anything to compare it to, seeing as this is the first time that I've ever had a Yamaha. To me everything is fine. Ian -

I'm sure that this was just sarcasm, wasn't it? At least thats the way I read it, it's a stab at our judicial system and some of these defence lawyers that give the bleeding heart stories of poor childhood, mistreatment, sexual abuse and everything else they can come up with to get the courts to go easy on them. I could be wrong and maybe craigr really feels this way but to be found guilty before the dog attacks!!!!!!!!!! :confused24: Ian

Our gas in Windsor was at 66 cents a litre but those thieving Ba****ds of oil companies jacked it up to 77 cents, now that is still cheap from the summer prices but they are dam quick to raise it as the price of oil goes up and really slow to drop them when it comes down. Ian
