  1. Not trying to be nosey by any means Tom. The reason I asked was that I was contacted this past Friday by a head hunter to see if I would go to Clreawater, Fl for 6 to 12 months to work at ATK because of my composites background and due to my previous employment with ATK in Iuka, Ms. Just thought you may have been contacted by someone to work at same place in Clearwater. Enjoy your schooling, but I didnt think they could teach us old dogs new tricks..
  2. Is your company by chance affiliated with ATK in clearwater?
  3. 7,6,5:whistling:
  4. So.......the original question was: How many Wing riders do we have on the site. Anyone know the total yet....?
  5. duh...........I stand corrected....you be right...my bad..
  6. You have a lunch waiting for you in Huntsville if you come by this way.......... Call me ..and give me a little notice so I can meet up with you somewhere.
  7. center to center of mounting holes.. from top to bottom mounting holes and then side to side mounting holes.
  8. You can keep all that weather up there... It supposed to be aaround 82 degrees and sunny here. A beautiful day for riding.. Oh....Did I mention I hate the cold...
  9. Larry, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I have not been on the site much the last two weeks since I have been out traveling. I am very happy you are able to post and tell us about it this accident though. It could have been posted by someone else in your behalf......and I thank GOD that it was not.. I wish you well my friend. Recovery takes time so do what the Doc says. Enclosed is a big wish for you to be able to have a full recovery and be able to ride again some day, if you so choose to do. I look forward to seeing you again someday ..........soon. Eck
  10. Hunter, I had 68k plus miles on my RSV and never had an issue with bearings. Also, I have been known to take curves at a higher speed then most thus placing more strain on the bearings.

    Thank you Eck

You are most welcome. Im just glad you found a place to stay my friend...!! Please, feel free to call me anytime you need help. If you ever head towards the Huntsville, Al area, give me a call... I'll leave the light on......free wireless.......
  12. I called Outcast a while ago ( around 3:30pm..). He already recieved the bearing numbers from Muffinman and he was at some place trying to get the bearing numebrs cross refferenced since motorycle shops are closed on Mondays in that area. Outcast said his wife was on the way with trailer, but he was hopeing that he could get the bearings cross refferenced and and get them installed before his wife made the 2 (or 3) hour trip to where he was with the trailer.. I left him with my phone number in case he needed any more bearing information or help of any kind. Sorry I did not post this earlier.. I was not thinking I guess..
  13. Sorry to hear about your phone, but you can carry the torch for a while now..
  14. Monty, Food for thought here sir... By registering you trailer...... you would have positive proof and solid identification that the trailer does in fact belong to YOU... in the case it ever got solen God for bid.. I mean for what little it costs to get it registered it may be well worth the investment and time to get it registered.. Also, you would be worry free of legal issues no matter what state you are pulling it through... So there you have it...just my 2 cents worth... FYI.. mine is registered with plate, and insured...
  15. Sorry if I pi**ed someone off but it was only a joke. Guess I won't make any comments to any post anymore in fear of making someone mad. If we all felt this way there would be no posts to read... go for it and post whatever you wish, but please act like your grand daughter is sitting on your lap reading what you are typing, and think of how you would feel if someone said THAT to you before you click on submit....using those two example rules you have nothing to ever worry about my friend. I try to do this ever time I post..
  16. Folks, Please understand that I placed this thread under review by the other moderators and not just me. It has been stated here time and time again on a regular basis that there are to be no threads posted that are political in nature.... period..
  17. Appears the weakest point now is mid-center between the (4) holes on the long end...
  18. Soooooooooo your saying "Quality" has gone to to the way side right........??? Congrats ont he new job...It's very "challenging" to remember that you are NOT in charge anymore.. I find that hard to deal with at times, but rigth now I am so relaxed from NOT working that I really dont care anymore WHO's in charge....
  19. (Quote) "PLEASE FLORIDA BUYER ONLY/TITLE MUST BE TRANSFERRED IN A TAG AGENCY BEFORE BUYER LEAVES WITH BIKE." My two cents for what its worth.. To avoid car title problems, complete the sale of the vehicle and title transfer at a state Driver & Vehicle Services location. The DVS agent can review the title and see whether there are any liens on it. The buyer and seller can transfer title on the spot and avoid problems filling in the blanks, signing it, or mailing it to the DVS. I personally feel this is a fool proof way the SELLER not only gets his money for his vehicle, but it also releases him of any future legal issues as soon as the buyer leaves his premises. If the buyer left his premises and got into an accident/damages anothers property,or robs a joint and uses the vehicle for the get away car and or causes damage to anothers property during his getaway efforts, the buyer (if he lived...) could get up and run away from the scene of the accident / damages and the seller would be out of his bike and "possibly" held liable for damages since the title of the vehicle was not transfered at the time of sale. He can avoid any legal battles right then and there by transfereing the title..done, over, it is not his vehicle..period.. I have been seeing this more and more with vehicle ad from florida...
  20. Wow..I appreciate the offer my friend, but Im afraid if I took your HD out for a ride, you would have a GW sitting in your driveway until you located me...weeks later in another state... I am leaving for a 3 week ride with my best friend next wednesday (Oct 19th) and he rides a beautiful sparkling 09 black Ultra Classic...I may be taking his for a spin and let him ride my wing for a few miles to see the difference between the two.. Thanks again for your generous offer Ed......Hopefully we will ride together again soon..
  21. Randy, At the northern end of the Moonshiner, you can find signs that take you to the cherohala Skyway. http://www.cherohala.org/ Cherohala Skyway is about 6 miles south of the Tail of the Dragon off off Hwy 129 If you stay on the moonshiner, when you get to Franklin, NC, take HWY 64 "west" for about 4 to 6 miles..On your right side you will see a waterfall that you can ride your bikes up underneath where the water is flowing over you and you (nor the bikes) will get wet..(see attached Picture..below..) If your looking for a GOOD place to eat lunch at, then I highly reccomend the Dillard House in Dillard Ga which is about 16 miles straight south of Franklin on HWY 441. They do not take reservations...for they are not needed.. This is a factory that feeds people.. not a regular resturant..ha.. Very enjoyable palce to eat at.
  22. Pic Before you go changing your ignition switch, I highly reccomend you do the folowing. Remove your gas tank...then follow the instructions in this technical write up to see if your ignition switch CONNECTOR has burned throug or not..(like mine did).. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32359 NOTE:..... If your same connector is NOT burned through, then I will say I do think your ignition switch went bad..
