  1. I hope you have something between the cement blocks and the frame (in the front)..if not, you will have some nasty scratches to tend to.
  2. Captainjoe, I cant keep up with you.. You are here, there, next door, over there, coming, going, here, there, you are like the wind, blowing east, west, nowhere to be found, and now I have to keep up with changing of names.. Man you make it tough on an old guy..
  3. I hear you.. All I can say is try to image this thread as a post about Harley's... The originators posting intent was not to smear "everyone" who works at Lowes.. There are many knowlgedable employees at Lowes.. there are many good Harleys, (and Harley owners).
  4. Hey PICK, Im sure the negative comments listed above dont apply to you. Sorry if they accedently hit a nerve, for I know you work at Lowes..

    My post

Daitan, First off, let me welcome you to the site. I am one of the moderators here and I have been diligently searching for your original post. So far, I can not find it. Normally, when a post is heading south and in "question" the moderators send eachother emails saying to watch the post and we get a concensus on if that post should be deleted. The originator of the post is sent an email explaing why thier post is being delted. I recieved no emails on your original post in that is was suspect of heading south. Was your deleted accidently?? Im leaning my thoughts in that direction rigth now but Im still searching. If there is mention of politics the thread could have been deleted with out sending emails first. Politics are a no no here. If it was related to religion, it would have been reviewed for content and possibly moved to the religion section unless is was totally inappropriate and would end up deleted. Usually an email follows deletion. Sexual content is also a no no here and is automaticlaly deleted with out moderator concensus, and an email is sent to originator. Im feel right now that your post was accidentally deleted, and one of the other moderators and or Freebird will do some checking and drop you a line if one of them delted it. Usually, if you post is deleted you will recieve an email explaing rationale as to why.. Since you did not recieve an email from the "deleter"...I feel this was a mistake or accidental deleation of you post. Lets give it a day or so and see if another moderator can find it or explain more to you. Hang in there.. we are a friendly bunch and surely dont want you to get the wrong impression of the site..Thanks for your patients, and your concern for posting this question. Eck
  6. I cant wait..............
  7. I took my son from Austrailia there, We had a blast.. Sorry to hear its being sold, but at least we were able to visit before it was depleated..
  8. Only a suggestion here... You might could contact your local Yamaha dealer and ask to speak to the manager. He (or she) may be able to pull something up on thier online system from thier home office that may be what you are looking for. You can ask him for a print out. Not sure he will give it to you though with out you having some credible evidence that you are doing this for a class assignment. You could also ask him when his district manager will be in and approch him with your request.
  9. Same with me.. I have to agree with Craig. I have the vent on my GW shield and I really enjoy the extra air flow on hot days. I have had only two bugs come through the vent in 4 years that hit me in the chest that I know of.
  10. Oh give him a kiss and call it quits... he will get over it..
  11. This information is for a 2nd gen but it should be really close to doing same on the 1st gen. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13263 75-90 Synthethic gear lube works great in rear hub.
  12. Im sorry Mike, but I no longer have any close up shots of the mud flap. I did have about 7 photos, but my computer crashed and I ended up getting a lap top which I have now. The only one I had left was never deleted from the camera and that was the one I posted. I have several of my bike where you can see the mud flap, but they are much farther away, and you can not tell how it is mounted.
  13. When I was ashamed of my bike I wouldnt post pictures either............. Larry, Im certain you will have one of the best looking rides on the site here. You always have. Looking forward to seeing it... (and you).. soon. Eck

    Honda Fury

A friend of mine has one in Painesville, Ohio. Every time I have come up to Freebirds Maintenance day, I saw him, and rode with him. I never rode his but I did sit on it, and I like being flat footed on the ground with knees able to bend. I cant do this on my GW. He had his for two years and I heard that last year he sold it and bought a GW 1800. I didnt see him last year so I havent had a chance to find out why he sold it, but he always talked highly of it whe he had it.
  16. A uhaul truck can be rented for around 19 bucks a day. I have two pick up trucks but live in MS. If funds are not availble,(due to circumstances that I dont care to hear about) just send me an email saying YES, I could use your help...and enclose your mailing address. No other explaination is nessisary. Im offering to send you a check for the $25 bucks to help you. Thats the best I can do from where I live. Hope this helps
  17. Now that reminds me of that guy in Calif on TV "Storage wars".........
  18. You didnt mention how much time you have to take this trip, but if you have some extra time I would reccomend these directions: Diana Tx to Birmingham, Al, north thur Chatanooga, Tn., to CLeveland, Tn. Take hwy 64 east out of Cleveland, Tn., to Frankin, Tn. (beautiful ride).....then go north to Sylva, tn., and on to Ashville, Tn. another beautiful ride. From Ashville go east / north to Linville, Nc., and continue on to Boone, Nc. and on to Wytheville, Wv. (a beautiful ride again) Out of Wytheville, take I- 81 north/ east as you would have in YOUR directions and you can continue on to your destination. The above directions will take you: 1,706 mi, 28 hours Your directions take you: 1,590 mi, 24 hours

    I gotta gripe

My back space works.. started over and didnt loose anything... problem could just be a loose nut between chair and keyboard...(just kidding...)
  20. You will never regret getting a drivers back rest... and ... a set of good riding foot pegs or boards These two items create the "ultimate comfort" ride on any RSV. Handle bar rizers may be an item to review for your personal comfort Installing a windshield vent really helps provide that "extra breeze" on hot days. Ipod / MP3 player for your personal sounds of enjoyment while riding GPS ...used only on those days when you know where you want to go. You may find changing the stock grips to an alternate type may also provide comfort. Or you can just get a GW... Oh believe me, the GW needs some help to in comfort also...........
  21. Well that sure started my day off .,.....no chance of me being right all year now.. Humm, was I ever right,? Im not sure. Hold on let me go ask myself... Well that settles that.. I was told "Nope" Im not right...so I guess I wasnt right last year either... wonder when it all happened..
  22. Thanks for the info... A new trend for 2013 Im taking stock out in DAWN...
  23. V-twin, V4, V6, V8...heck... I dont care one way or the other... All I know is...............WE ARE STILL FAMOUS !!!!!!!!!!! right Lewis...
  24. Ive sat on a Voyager only. I have never rode one. I cant say in fairness what it is like compared to the RSV, but I can and will tell you about the GW. I have owned an RSV and rode it many a mile.. I presently own a GW 1800 and have rode it many a mile. The RSV is a lot more comfortable to sit on for long rides then the GW for sure. The RSV loks a heck of a lot better than the GW with it being all tupperware. Both bikes are durable, and dependable. I like the power and the handling of the 1800 v/s the RSV. I wish my feet touched the ground "flat footed" like they did on the RSV. I will try out a voyager this year just to compare it, but Im really leaning towards a new F6B....
