Well, yes, and no.......... If you place the toggle switch in a place that only YOU know where it is.......no one can just walk up and steel your bike...it is there for emergency only and you need not tell anyone where you located it...

Check that screw on the shifter Spray some silicone/ lubricant on the linkage in front of and below the left floor board Place a spare key in a side bag or in the trunk or somewhere where YOU know where it is Check the allen head screws above the side bags / under the trunk - tighten all of them Grease the splines and drive shaft Install the ignition switch by-pass mod so you never get stranded, for there is NO warning. Check those little allen head screws that hold the chrome piece on the rear of the front fender

May I ask...How did you check this out to tell that you do not have power at the fuel pump?

I rerouted my fuel filter to a location just in front of the battery where I could easily get to it if I needed to..I surely wasnt about to put it back where Yamaha located it..

Sure glad your ok Joe.. Now you can relax and digest those things you could have / should have done. Like you siad, may staying back a little farther for safety..or what ever you feel could have helped you stay safe. It takes a scare to wake us all up once in a while as to the dangers out there, including the unexpected as you said , and to be continuously on the alert for danger. I normally pull to the left (center of the lane), where I can see the driver in his mirror, (and they can see me), or I once in a while pull way to the right where I have a way out. However, I do not like the right side though for many idiots try to turn right at every corner and they will ride on the berm so they dont have to wait for the traffic to clear..

Yea Tom, I remember my old 05 RSV having 119 LED's on it but I do not plan on putting that much money in my Wing as I di dthe RSV. When I wrecked my RSV a few years back, I was sick in that I did all that work customizing it and within 5 seconds it was all taken away. My wing is fine the way it is.. Maybe I'll add a sheep skin seat cover but not much more.

It is a blast, so if yiou can join us, please make arrangements now for the area motels fill fast. I think all the cabins are taken already that are located within the park itself. You can check but I think I heard they are all taken. Once in a while a cabin reservation is cancelled and the party that made the cancellation will post on the site that thier cabin is up for grabs. This is taking a chance on waiting for though.

All you need for your 1st gen is the carbtune pro 4 You can contact Muffinman (Jeff) and he can explain in detail about the color tune.. You could use the color tune, but the carbtune pro 4 will get you the results you are looking for and is a lot cheaper
