  3. MIles, I hope to meet up with you some day. This brings back many memories of past years on the site here.. Makes my heart flushed to see there are still people out there giving those items away that would normallly sit on a shelf and collect dust.
  4. Forget the tank badges.. Purchase the following quantity of chrome letters: Qty - Letters: 6 - A's 2- R's 4 -D's 2 - S's 2 - N's 2 - V's 2 - Ys 2 - Es 2 - H's 2 - I's 2 - L's 2 - O's Now you have enough letters for BOTH sides of your gas tank. Place them in order to spell the folLowing: HARDELYA DAVIDSON
  5. Eddie, Let me know if you really want to do that, and I will send you my Oberlin, Ohio address.........
  6. I suggest we all gather up our old helmets, and then have a weekend meet & eat in a convienent neighborhood, and we make table or hanging lamps out of them, then sell them for Saint Judes............ Drill a hole in the top, insert a $3.00 lamp socket, wire it up and wham-o...
  7. How about adding some running lights or wire them up to be brake lights / turn signals what ever type you want, to your mud flaps.. see samples attached: Yes, the samples provided are shown on a vehicle mud flap but you can get the idea..
  8. Last year, I took one for a ride in Charleston, Sc.. My wife and I got on it, and pulled out of the dealers parking lot and down the on ramp we went onto the interstate.. As I got up to 65 MPH, I realized I was fighting to keep the thing going straight..I could not take my hands of the grips for it would wobble back and forth sideways..I slowed down to 45 mph and rode it to the very first exit..got off the interstate and took a back road that ran parrellel to the interstate and couldnt get back to the dealer fast enough. My wife held on to me the whole ride and she wanted off that thing as bad as I did. I told the sales person how it wobbled and he said that is thier nature...I said you can keep it, Im very happy with my wing. I will never ride another one.

  15. I rode to work today too...It was 31 degrees when I left the hosue, but on the way home it was 70.... I plan on riding all day tomorrow....
  16. Sure glad your ok Joe.. Now you can relax and digest those things you could have / should have done. Like you siad, may staying back a little farther for safety..or what ever you feel could have helped you stay safe. It takes a scare to wake us all up once in a while as to the dangers out there, including the unexpected as you said , and to be continuously on the alert for danger. I normally pull to the left (center of the lane), where I can see the driver in his mirror, (and they can see me), or I once in a while pull way to the right where I have a way out. However, I do not like the right side though for many idiots try to turn right at every corner and they will ride on the berm so they dont have to wait for the traffic to clear..
  17. Quote: What type of headset do you like .. Not to be taken as a smart --- remark, but in joking manor...........one that works.....

  21. Yea Tom, I remember my old 05 RSV having 119 LED's on it but I do not plan on putting that much money in my Wing as I di dthe RSV. When I wrecked my RSV a few years back, I was sick in that I did all that work customizing it and within 5 seconds it was all taken away. My wing is fine the way it is.. Maybe I'll add a sheep skin seat cover but not much more.
  22. August 14th -18th, 2013, Tail of the Dragon/Vogel VI, Blairsville, GA Jim, This event is every other year and is put on by Dragonrider. It is a blast, so if yiou can join us, please make arrangements now for the area motels fill fast. I think all the cabins are taken already that are located within the park itself. You can check but I think I heard they are all taken. Once in a while a cabin reservation is cancelled and the party that made the cancellation will post on the site that thier cabin is up for grabs. This is taking a chance on waiting for though.
