  1. I searched and can not find it either. Older threads can become deleted over time, to free up space. I did a Google search (using images) for 4" round chrome air filters and many come up. Not sure if one of those would be of interest to you.
  2. This link below may be of help to you which is a thread that is running on same subject you ask about. Many commented here about teeth / dentures. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=78817
  3. Ruffy, I, (like you), wish I could make it again this year too, but it just isn't in the cards for me this year. I do wish everyone a safe journey there and back to their homes and here is another wish for great weather.. Have fun everyone.
  4. Is this it? If so, it has not been deleted. If this is not the one you question, let me know. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=78987
  5. It is normal on these trucks. I had a 2000 Silverado and it did same thing. I now own TWO Avalanches (2005 & 2011) and both do same thing. I just drive them..
  6. Dang Bill, I am so glad you and Linda are ok. I sure hope you didn't loose your home and all your belongings. If you need a place to stay you are more than welcome to use our house in Huntsville, Al. We are not living there in Huntsville right now, but we visit the house now and then on some weekends. We may be moving back soon, but not sure, but that does not matter if we are living there or not............ you have a place to live in Huntsville if you need it.
  7. Now you went and done it... Walt cant get his helmet on now...............
  8. (Quote) Now, we all know that Eck will be the next guy in line on this forum to want a set of these Muth Heated Mirrors. Sorry, Eck, but there are already others ahead of you in line, but they are on other forums, so you can be # 2 on this forum Sorry Miles, but I already have a set of Muth mirrors on my wing. And, no, they are NOT heated but I have no need for heated mirrors..
  9. Not me.............Falsies........Yep, laugh all you want.. I don't care about caps, implants or ever going back to see a dentist ever again. no need to if done right. Had mine removed back in 1981 and I have never ever regretted it. I can eat anything too, apples, corn on the cob and I chew ice regularly...
  10. I learned this lesson the hard way. I waited until it was to late for me. When I totaled my RSV, I only had $500.00 of accessory coverage. During settlement with my insurance agent, I told him I wanted to remove my accessories. He tells me I can not for they go with the bike. I argue my point and tell him I have $500 insurance coverage for accessories and I picked up my smashed Garman 550 and handed it to him and then said, keep the change. This thing cost me a little over $50.00 Then I said, and now, every other accessory on that bike belongs to me..... He paused but then said I was correct. I removed every accessory I could that was not damaged or maybe slightly damaged and then sold those accessories on the site here. Don't let the insurance company keep all your accessories. If you have $500.00 extra coverage, hand them something that adds up to that amount and then tell them you want to remove all the other accessories for YOUR resale. They want to keep those accessories so that they can auction your bike off for more dollars.. Here is my before and after pics: This took about 5 seconds at 70mph
  11. I know one time a bear grabbed a glove off a bike at Vogel because the owner (Dan) ate something earlier wearing his gloves. His glove was on the seat when the bear took it. Can you imagine what the bear would have / could have done if that glove was in a cooler tied to the bike...$15k worth of damage just get at a package of crackers or a sandwich.... no way.. I will never store any type of food on my bike and walk away from it.. I would recommend dropping the cooler off at the main office at the entrance of the park and ask if they could hold on to it until you get back from your hike...

  18. Hail - winds and tornados are possible according to local news here in Columbus, Ms., but at a low level.. Rain will be afternoon and into the evening Friday here and north of us. The map is all GREEN north of Jackson, Tn., and heading towards Nashville tomorrow so I wouldn't clean that wing either. You might should ask the motel manager if you can park it under the awning. Note to B2Mom: I didn't say a word about having it rain on your parade....really .. honest,, I mean.. seriously, truly, come on now, you just gotta believe me...
  19. I would not wish rain on your parade ever...I too wish we could be there..Looks like you guys are going to have one heck of a turn out though.
  20. Playboy, This was my first thought too, when I read the title to this thread.. I figured he washed his cell phone. You all better be nice.. I can ask my friends to drop a little liquid sunshine on your rides...
  21. Miles, You now have 1,372 miles under your butt.... and you have about 1,042 miles to go to get to Martin, Tn. I surely hope you do not try to ride the 1,042 miles in one day.. Party doesn't start on Thursday so take another day and be safe.. Your doing great on making miles...... be MILES..............
  22. SO what are ya saying there Ruffy... you looking to buy a white one:stickpoke:..
  23. WOW, looks like you hit the lotto my friend..... Dang, we didn't have that nice of stuff in the beginning...but it didn't matter. We had a BLAST and made many friends and memories filled with laughter and good times. Camp fires around the cabin and just sitting telling stories with our favorite cold one in the hand, all on edge, full of anticipation and jitters as we waited upon the next rising sun for that early main gathering in the parking lot and heading to town for the morning breakfast wake up prior to the rides of the day. Choosing which ride you would go on. Leaving with a full belly and off down the road only to get a mile down the road and hearing someone calling out on the CB that they have to STOP for GAS,..then going another 20 miles and having to stop again so that those who didn't at the gas stop, let those cups of coffee out. Then it begins, the ride we all waited for and longed for, as we all whipped our face shields from the slop of the rain.. Oh yea..........let the good times roll.........
  24. Nice looking ride.. Does it come inn RED?...
