  1. Boat Name? Heck, just pick one........... http://www2.10000boatnames.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1
  2. I happen to have (2) reflectors. Amber in color. Part number on the ones I have are 070-0502 made by Stanley. Both are Amber in a black housing which has one small bolt/ nut on back side for mounting. You can have them both for $20.00 plush shipping. Shipping from 35824 zip code. Shipping should not be but $1.50 (guessing).
  3. You are asking for a death wish! No way would I ride it at night....................
  4. Yammer really looks scared too..............

    Good bye to.....

Swifty, I think I caught you a couple times and you didn't let off the throttle... Enjoyed the miles (and conversations), we shared every time our roads crossed.
  6. cut a piece of gas line hose about 2 inches long and slide it on over the threads.. it holds the seat on. You can easily pull down on the hose to remove it from the seat bolt when you want to remove the seat...
  7. Sorry Lewis, but at that time, I will be riding with my best friend somewhere up in WV, VA, NC, TN, KY. and maybe northern GA. I would love to attend and support you once again in this but I just can not this year.

    My new shop...

Like Squidley mentioned, plan ahead.. Here is an idea that you can do now before you pour concrete..
  9. This is in reference to the two small screws that hold your gas cap together. Check this thread out for screws coming loose and falling out on the gas cap. I suggest you go out and remove your gas cap and check the two small screws in yours before the screws fall off inside the gas tank.. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=81617
  10. I sure wish Hwy 622 (Nebo Mountain Road) was smoothe pavement. It is paved, but it is full of filled potholes and repair runs which make it a very bouncy rough ride. This road is just east of Hwy 16 (back of the dragon) and is a mountain back road that is just as curvy as the back of the dragon. If they ever paved this road to where it was smoothe, this would be a very challenging motorcycle road in Virginia. No guardrails either..
  11. I bought an 05 Road Star Silverado for step son back in 05. It ran like a dream, and had lots of torque. Very dependable as all the Yamahas are. Easy to work on too.. Step son changed out stock pipes on it and I couldn't stand hearing it.... Always made him ride behind me...
  12. Tell Don to put some chrome on that thing and it just might sell faster..............
  13. When I got done with my RSV, it was about 8 inches from the head light, then zero inches from the dash board, then 5 inches (maybe) from the TOP of the seat, then zero inches from its tail light and maybe one inch from its side as it sat on its saddle bag and side edges of its tires.. I do not recommend you lower yours in this manor...ever...
  14. Get on it again and meet me in Charleston, Wv. Sept 18th, and you can ride with my friend and I for seven days....... He is from Painesville (east of Cleveland), and you two can ride back together. Would love to have you tag along, and my friend rides a Harley also. Both of you can stay behind me...........
  15. Never been there myself. Looks like a place I would like to visit though.. I do like the link you attached... it lists restaurants in all States..
  16. Happy Anniversary to the both of you..!!! Today is when Konnie and I met...
  17. You have to watch both Bob and his wife. They always want you to feel welcome, want you to be a part of their family, and treat you like they have known you for years, and will give you just about anything you need if they have it. Great folks for sure!! (Bob, you can pay me later for saying all that for you....)
  18. Don't you dare get upset while working on MY bike now...You've done great so far on it my friend!! Seriously though, if I was ever in the market for a RSV, you can bet I would be knocking on your door Ruffy. You have done so much to that bike over the years. I know what it is like though. I had a few bucks in mine too and then in a matter of a few seconds, it all went south.......
  19. Sure glad they are both OK.. I know to well about those cager's who run you off the road..

    Hey eck....

Thanks Randy once again for trying to bail me out of this long going incident.. for I was the lead in that group and I'm telling you that, that UPS driver knew the road better than anyone .. He flew around those curves... I'm not bragging at all here but many know I can ride a bike fairly well.. however, this one UPS truck driver showed not just me, but several in our group, that HE is the one in charge and HE was the one in control of his ride and that HE knew how to take those particular curves. He rode those curves every day, and here we were, all out of towners, thinking we could out run the this man (UPS driver) on a road he rode every day and knew end to end.. What were WE thinking............ However, if memory serves me right a year later....Bobbie / George took a picture of me while I was sitting in my saddle, hanging on to the passer side mirror of the UPS truck, while I was on my bike, and this photo was posted at one time on the site here... so no one can tell me that I didn't catch the UPS truck (thank you very much). I once had photographic evidence that I did.
