  1. Get on it again and meet me in Charleston, Wv. Sept 18th, and you can ride with my friend and I for seven days....... He is from Painesville (east of Cleveland), and you two can ride back together. Would love to have you tag along, and my friend rides a Harley also. Both of you can stay behind me...........
  2. Never been there myself. Looks like a place I would like to visit though.. I do like the link you attached... it lists restaurants in all States..
  3. Happy Anniversary to the both of you..!!! Today is when Konnie and I met...
  4. You have to watch both Bob and his wife. They always want you to feel welcome, want you to be a part of their family, and treat you like they have known you for years, and will give you just about anything you need if they have it. Great folks for sure!! (Bob, you can pay me later for saying all that for you....)
  5. Don't you dare get upset while working on MY bike now...You've done great so far on it my friend!! Seriously though, if I was ever in the market for a RSV, you can bet I would be knocking on your door Ruffy. You have done so much to that bike over the years. I know what it is like though. I had a few bucks in mine too and then in a matter of a few seconds, it all went south.......
  6. Sure glad they are both OK.. I know to well about those cager's who run you off the road..

    Hey eck....

Thanks Randy once again for trying to bail me out of this long going incident.. for I was the lead in that group and I'm telling you that, that UPS driver knew the road better than anyone .. He flew around those curves... I'm not bragging at all here but many know I can ride a bike fairly well.. however, this one UPS truck driver showed not just me, but several in our group, that HE is the one in charge and HE was the one in control of his ride and that HE knew how to take those particular curves. He rode those curves every day, and here we were, all out of towners, thinking we could out run the this man (UPS driver) on a road he rode every day and knew end to end.. What were WE thinking............ However, if memory serves me right a year later....Bobbie / George took a picture of me while I was sitting in my saddle, hanging on to the passer side mirror of the UPS truck, while I was on my bike, and this photo was posted at one time on the site here... so no one can tell me that I didn't catch the UPS truck (thank you very much). I once had photographic evidence that I did.

Since this was such a funny joke, I moved this thread to the joke section.
  14. Thanks Randy, but I already have our routes planned out. I only had to make a small adjustment due to the gravel road.
  15. drugs........
  16. Brake Pad, If Guntersville is the "Chosen one".......... I already laid out a back roads ride from Guntersville to the rattlesnake Saloon if you need me to lead, and I also laid out the return route where I detour to take everyone up thru Monte Sano State Park, and then back down to Guntersville. Total riding miles round trip = 256 miles round trip (131 miles to get there and 125 miles to get back Total riding time is 5.5 hours round trip. I also laid out another ride (for a different day) in the case there are some who may just want to go for a ride and not visit caves and or museums. If you need my help, let me know.
  17. Sure hope he has a safe trip where you guys can make many good memories! Ride safe !!
  18. Randy, Could you tell me about how many miles of 197 is not paved? Is it loose gravel, tarred and chipped, or just plain dirt? My best friend and I will be coming from Burnsville (south) on 197 in about 3 weeks from now and if the road is dirt, loose gravel I do not want to take him on it. Ill have to find another route to get from Spruce Pine to Lake Junaluska and Canton to pick up Hwy 215 south. I am trying to take roads that I have never been on before...I don't want the Pk-way or interstate. Edit: Ok, I viewed (zoomed in), on Google Maps and it appears about 5 miles is not paved... time to look for another route to take I guess.....

    Wing is gone

So sorry to hear this Buddy. I too wonder about the future and how long I can ride. I hope a lot longer as well as many others but our clocks are not all set the same in life. I wish you a road of comfort ahead and hope your life can be filled with other entertainment to keep you happy. Before I close, if you don't mine, I would like to inquire if you have any accessories left over from your wing that you might want to sell. I really don't need anything off hand, but thought I would ask. Thanks, and again, I wish you the best! Eck
