Larry, I didn't know you damaged your bike at Vogel. Man I'm sorry to hear that. You did an excellent job of design, build and install on the skid plate though. I have a bottom protection plate on my GW too.

Yep, that happened to me one time. Shame on the mess.. I drilled mine out.. slowly and carefully and lots of patients!! You carefully drill the head off the shank and then remove the head light assembly The you carefully drill the shank out. I drilled a hole completely thru the shank and then used an easy-out tap to remove it Then I re-tapped (chased) the threads to clean them up. Ace hardware sells Stainless steel Allen head bolts and that is what I reinstalled in place of stock bolts. As for the spacer between headlights and bracket, there was a drawing on the site on how to make them. I will look in my files and post it in a minute if I can find it. Edited to add the below info: I am sending you an email with the mans name and email address that you can contact to see if he is still in the business of making and selling the light brackets. Here are a couple pics of the bracket that he used to make. Im not certain he still does though.

I have a set of sheep skin seat covers that fit the GW 1800 operator and passenger seats which are white in color that I will sell you if interested. They can easily be cut with a pair of scissors to shape to your seats

No quite Joe... (since my yard isn't big enough) Well every storm shelter that gets installed (here in Alabama anyway) also gets registered and after a tornado the local fire departments know where to go look for survivors / people.. In our case, as seen by the photos, there are no trees around (however one could blow in on us I guess), but so could a house or a car... I will also have a jack inside so that I can jack the door open if I have to. With the emergency kit we are putting together, we should be able to live in it for 4 to 5 days if we really needed to however I don't want to be in it any more than five minutes after the storm passes..

I mounted a map of the united states on my garage wall, and had a yellow marker hanging by a string along side it. Every time I got back home for any ride, I would mark the roads I took.. Wasn't long and I had this map with a huge yellow circle around the northern Alabama/ southern Tn area.. The map ended up looking like heck every time I opened the garage door, so I took it down and threw it away..

I'm thinking of having a M&E at my house in my back yard.. You must bring a rake.... Anyone interested?

Great idea Joe, but I already set it up and I don't want to continue changing it from this to that causing any more confusion. It would have been a great date to pick though.
