Silence is golden - by quiet times...

Wish him well for us. Thanks for letting us know he is OK.

Well Gary, I'm hoping I didn't take your comment wrong, but I thought I did give the guy a whole lot of credit by saying things like: it may work as the guy designed it, it looks very ingenious, nice machining, and I'm sure it works great. Plus I said I like the brake lever also. Your comment made me feel like I kicked the guy in the arse or something. The only negative I mentioned was he needs to add a small guard, (which is most likely in the making just not in his picture yet), and that is why I said: Its a project still in works, Oh and from an engineers point of view, you are correct, for I too noticed the angle of the cable coming out of the sheath at my first glance of the photo, but I forgot to mention it. It would surely wear out fast at that angle.

First off, I'm sure glad you are OK and able to tell us about your accident.be feeling a lot better..In about 3 months from now you will be feeling a lot better. As for the bike, yes., I think it can be fixed. Acceptance of the bike after it is repaired depends solely on you and you alone. I really does not matter what others may say or think about it being a repaired bike after its fixed. My opinion, as well as the others, on whether it can be repaired or not only answers your basic question of "Can it be repaired"?

Well, it may work as the guy designed it, (see attached pic), but the first thing I see is a very unsafe condition that could cause one heck of a "pinch" if you ever got the section of skin between your thumb and first finger caught in the gears that are so broadly exposed. The guy needs to add a small guard / cover over the gear section even if it is a clear plastic guard. Man can you imagine doing 50MPH and get your hand caught in that gear, and just by common reaction, you quickly yank on your hand to get it out of there and at the same time the handle bars rip in the direction you yanked your hand. Just think of the instant chaos you would be in. Hell, I can already feel the pain in my hand (which is minor) compared to the pain located in many other places (knees, shoulders, ribs) caused from the wreck I just had. Other than that, it looks very ingenious, nice machining, and I'm sure it works great. I like the brake lever also.. That is different. He drilled three locations and installed chrome allen head screws just for looks. The bar is solid so other than for looks or maybe a better grip I see no other purpose for the screws from this angle anyway. I would also have to either chrome (or paint) the handle bar to hide that weld around the cable bracket. A project still in works.

From what I have been told by others who test rode or even purchased one, each of them have said that all Victory's clunk / clank when shifting....its their nature..

I met this guy about three weeks ago. He is renting a home from a friend of mine down the street. I was down at my friends house helping them move out and this guy showed up and I found out he was moving in. Heck, I don't even remember what this guys name was after being introduced to him by my friend. Anyway, no he did not dig, rake or pay for any part of my shelter. Last night I decided to extend my kindness (for that moment), and not say anything to him about being on my back porch or in my back yard or having free access to my shelter. Now that I thought about it more and slept on it, I will be speaking to him next time I see him to ensure he knows how I feel about him just walking into my back yard and standing on my back porch. That better never happen again. I will also be telling him to never come onto my property again with out first ringing the door bell located by my front door. As for use of the shelter, I will leave this discussion alone (for now) because if a tornado ever does come this way, I really don't want to be telling him or anyone that they can not come into it for safety, (unless it is at max limit when they arrive). I mean the shelter only holds so many.. so first come first serve would be fine with me no matter who they are. Friend or no friend. I do like the idea of handing him a shovel though and telling him to start digging his own..

We made it through last nights round. We are supposed to have another flurry of storms starting around 2pm today and lasting to 9 or 10pm..These however are not supposed to be as bad as last nights flurry. Got to tell you something here. I was not sure how to handle this situation.....what would you have done? Last night I was sitting in my recliner watching the storms on the TV and I heard a weather radio go off.. I got up and looked out my back door and a neighbor who lives about 20 houses down the road was standing on my back porch with a duffel bag, and back pack and a weather radio. I stepped out and recognized who he was, but said what are you doing? He said listening to the storms. I asked why are you on my back porch? He said he wanted to use our storm shelter if a tornado decides to touch down.. I said well, I know two people who are going to be inside the shelter for sure but it looks like we wont be having any tornados tonight in this area. He said: That's why I a m listening to my weather radio.... I stepped back inside and sat down and that guy stood on my back porch for 30 minutes or more, then left.

Star fan, If you don't mind, I will take it. I will even pay for the shipping. I will send you a pm with my address and contact info. Many thanks!! If anyone has a rear brake reservoir cap I still need one. I don't care if the cap is all scratched or beat up. I need it for a test for something I want to try to make. Eck

Glad you and your family are safe!! Thanks for your reply. (Quote): I saw where that same unstable weather system is going to be going across your area today. You better know where your fraidy hole is. Oh I know where my new storm shelter / fraidy hole is, and so do all my neighbors.... A bunch of my neighbors have already said: COOL, now I know where I can go ...
