For high beam bulb Remove the fairing pocket Turn the handle bars all the way the other direction so you can reach in. Disconnect the headlight connector. Remove the rubber boot /dust cover and slide the cover up on the wiring. Unhook the bulb retainer, remove the bulb socket and replace the headlight bulb with a new one. Avoid touching a halogen headlight bulb. Finger prints can create hot spots that cause a bulb to break. If you have an airbag bike, changing the right high beam is virtually impossible (well, really hard, anyway) even if you remove the shelter. They have surrounded it with everything. Low Beam bulb replacement: Turn the handle bars all the way the other direction so you can reach in. Work off the rubber boot/ dust cover… it comes of easy and slide the cover up on the wiring. Unplug the wiring harness. When you get this far you should be able to see the spring clip that holds the bulb assembly. I used my finger, but if you cannot un-hook the spring use something like a pick with a hook on it and hook it into the loop on the spring clip. Pull gently and this should allow the clip to swing away from the assembly. Do not remove the screw on the clip assembly. Lift the assembly i.e. the rubber plug and the bulb out. Unplug the bulb from the rubber plug. Do not touch the new bulb when you are putting it in, replace the bulb and reassemble.[/font][/b]

In 06 Honda came out with an improved stereo / sound system so you have that going for you already with either bike. Other than that they are the same as a 2002 model. 62k / 82k miles is really nothing on them. Most owners of Goldwing's really take care of their bikes maintenance wise. I only met one guy so far who has never washed his Goldwing or cleaned it off at all except for cleaning the windshield now and then. It made me sick to see his bike like that but everyone is different. Check with the dealer and see if either bike has had The alternator replaced - If not I would be looking for a spare now to swap them out when it does go Relay A & relay B replaced - if not, I would be purchasing both on line for that just in case / with out warning moment when one does go out. Battery replaced - both bikes should have had a new battery by now I would think.. Brake pads replaced - if not ask them to replace all pads front and back before you buy it When was the antifreeze flushed out and replaced- if not both bikes are over due When was the brake fluid system flushed and replaced- if not both bikes are over due When was the clutch system fluid flushed and replaced - if not both bikes are over due Has "every" recall been performed on them (last one issued on BOTH bikes is on the brake system locking up) If I can be of any help with questions feel free to contact me via email or phone. Phone number is in my profile page.

On our way coming home on the interstate I was in left lane following another car that was in front of me for quite some time and we were passing 3 other cars, all in the right lane. The guy in front of me and I were both doing 70mph, (I was on cruise) and we slowly are passing. I notice a car coming up in the rear view mirror fast, real fast, gaining on me quickly. I looked to my right but there was a car next to me so I could not get over in the right lane. Next thing I know the jerk is passing me on the left side of my truck on the berm doing about 90 mph. He passes me and he continues on the curb and passes the guy in front of me then he pulls over in the left lane ahead of us. Then he slowed down to around 70 MPH and stayed in front of us. Then we rode about a half mile and the guy slows down to about 65MPH (still in the left lane). He wont pass the car on the right and he stays this way for another half mile at least. The guy in front of me pulls over to the right lane, and I pull over in the right lane to get away from him. The guy just stays in the left lane. As we are passing him in the right lane, I notice his right hand moving all over the place as if he is yelling at someone, but no one is in the car with him. He is yelling and screaming. His face is one of those "mad as can be faces" which I see it as I pass by him. No sooner did I get him in view in my left door mirror, he floors it and takes off and pulls away from us.. fast, faster making distance between all of us. Then we watch him as he begins swerving from lane to lane as if he wants to crash himself (suicidal-maybe?). All of us slowed down to about 40MPH watching him. Then he just takes off and went out of site down the freeway. Man I was glad I was in my truck and not on the bike. Things could have gone a different way......

Sorry for your loss Puc. Prayers sent. Thought this might be a lift to you. A father and his son Are inexplicably bound, And that bond isn't severed just Because Dad's no longer around. A son remembers his father's words, His wisdom and his wit. There's never a day the ever goes by, When the son doesn't find a use for it. And this is how the father lives on Inside the heart of his son. Although they were parted In this way the two live as one.

So sorry to hear of this Jim, but I am very happy you are able to type the story up for us all to read and to remind us to ride safe. I wish you and your wife both a full speedy recovery. Prayers sent in that regard.

I have John Deere also. This is the one I rolled over on me about 8 weeks ago.(ouch...still hurting too!). Paid $225 for it

Well, I rebuilt the carb on the B-100 today and got it running like a clock. Rode it around the block with beer in hand and a smile.... I now have the Commando list to sell along with a bunch of accessories and a plow.. I will be keeping the B-100 for now, and one of the pull behind sweepers.

Sure glad it was not you and Charleen there Lewis.. It is a known fact that times are changing fast in every state, city and neighborhood Lewis. No one is immune to what is going on in their neighborhoods. If people don't get to know their neighbors and work together to watch out for each other, break-ins, robberies and murder can and will happen. Last year, I had the police and 56 of my neighbors in my driveway starting up a neighborhood watch. Since then I know many of my neighbors and they wave or beep as they pass the house. I am always looking for the unusual vehicle or person. I have already called the police 4 times and each time someone was caught. Once a pour guy was just visiting his girlfriend down the street but he parked his car next door to my house and walked down the sidewalk to her palce. That didn't look right to me so I called the cops. We all laughed when the guy came out of the house and walked back up the street to his car. Cops were teasing him about secretly seeing the lady down the street.. Two weeks ago, I was just invited to a city arranged (free) dinner and given an award by the local police neighborhood watch program for being the most active person in my neighborhood. We have a site called https://nextdoor.com/find-neighborhood/ that we use on a daily basis to keep up with anything related to security and safety including classifieds and other section of interest. Once a person signs up on this site, every time someone posts a security breach message on the site, you get an instant email and or an instant message sent to your cell phone, however you want it set up. Click on the link and choose your state and see if you already have a neighborhood section listed. If not get it going for you and your neighbors. Hey Its free..
