You have a great looking ride George! Last time I saw it, you were detailing it with some added accessories that makes it really stand out. If I can be of any help on it, let me know. You can ride with me anytime!

@Venturous Randy, DONE!........

Our motto is, that it doesn't matter what you ride, you will always be welcome here. The BMW's are no less being a great ride than any other make or model. I own a GW...and I like it!..

Planning a trip.....

The elevation height of the mountains in PA,WV, VA, NC, KY, North GA, are not high enough to mess with the elevation problems of your bike. I have rode my RSV all over those mountains and never had one problem. Now when you get to the mountains in CO., then you will feel a difference in power. Going through Roosevelt National Forest my RSV bogged down a little at one point but it didn't stop me. The Roosevelt National Forest is a National Forest located in north central Colorado. -
I too have made two copies and one is with my mother in Fl..and one is in our safe. I also have copies of every picture on my laptop which is most often with me. If a tornado warning is in effect, I always take the lap top & safe with us to the storm shelter. If it gets caught in the fire so be it, for I did forget to mention that I also took the thumb drive to our homeowners insurance provider and they downloaded a copy onto their computer also! They have a copy of every item in our house. If & when I do an update of photos, I take the thumb drive to them again so they can download the new photos. A safety deposit box is a darn good place too as Freebird mentioned /suggested.

Ed, I am so glad you and your family are all ok. Much sorrow is felt within my heart due to your loss. One thing this sad news brings is a warning to all. Loss of important documents can be a nightmare as mentioned above. Also claims to your insurance company can be very challenging if you have no proof of what you owned. Suggestion here only: What I have done is this: I took a good camera and began by setting the time and date on the camera to the date I took the pictures. I then began taking pictures of everything in our house, one TV at a time zooming in on ID information on such devices. Each room within the house I documented, opened closets and included pics of clothing and shoes. The bathroom shower, tub, toilet including towels, and wash cloths. I mean I took pictures of everything in our house one room at a time. I made envelopes on my lap top with titles of each room in the house and placed the pics in their corresponding envelopes. Don't forget the garage tools, vehicles, and all that junk out in the back shed including those lawnmowers, edger's and such. I took photos of my drivers license, SS card, all C'Cards (both sides so I can call those CC phone numbers to inform them and cancel/ retrieve new ones). Once I captured everything we owned on photo-film, I copied all those pictures on a thumb drive and placed the thumb drive in a small fire proof safe, along with all those other important papers such as titles to our vehicles, house -car- motorcycle insurance documents, our original SS cards, marriage license, (dang, you get the "picture", ...pardon the pun). During tornado warning times I can easily grab the small fireproof safe and head to our storm shelter. If a fire breaks out, hopefully I can grab the safe and take it outside with me, if not, it is fireproof.

Wife and I took this route from Crescent City CA to Red Bluff Ca. https://goo.gl/maps/dTbHKWSaAQ22 On the way, after we went through the redwoods we took an old back road called "BALD HILLS ROAD" (see attached link). Before you get to where you are just south of Martins Ferry going to Weitchpec ........MAN THE CURVES!!!!!!!!!!! I would NOT take my wing on Bald Hills Road. It starts off being a paved road through the redwoods / forest and then after about 15 miles, it turns into a dirt road which extends aprox 8-10 miles or so, then it becomes paved just in time for the most curves I have ever seen on any one road including tail of the dragon. This road puts the Tail of Dragon to shame when it comes to curves. I turned on my cell phone to video and let it run for a long length of time. I just tried to download this video on my FB page 3 times and it kicks it off. It wont load up for me. Anyway, I can tell you that my arms and shoulders & neck are sore as heck from turning the steering wheel so many times today. One turn in particular, I turned the steering wheel three revolutions in one direction just to get around the curve. I had to stop and back up just a little to make the turn. I don't know what they call a curve that is tighter than a hair pin curve, but I could see the back of my head I think as we went around it.

Well I figure, it would take me around 3 days to wax her up good, then another 3 days to buff her out really nice.. SOOoooo, lets see; About 6 nights, a steak every day, I know I can drink a whole lot of beer in a day, so all in all you may want to reconsider... I just might take you up on this deal...

@cowpuc, you old-fart, I am sitting here laughing my ...off and re-living every word you just posted.. I remember those days very well and when those muscle cars were sitting UP on the lift, you didn't give a hoot if some big nasty dirty snow mixture cut loose right on your face as you were looking up underneath checking it out or working on it changing oil or tires, fixing a loose exhaust bracket, etc.. Im still laughing.. and memories are just filling my head.

My 1st job was babysitting 8 kids next door to where I lived. My mom and their mom were friends. I had to clean the house, vacuum / mop, cook dinner for all of them and do up the dishes, and have them all take their baths and get them into bed.. I was 14 yrs old at the time, and I was paid 50 cents an hour.. The first week, I made $22 bucks. I then got a job up the street at a restaurant washing & drying dishes for 60 cents and hour..then went to a gas station the next year and made 75 cents an hour changing tires and pumping gas. Man that was big time...:mo money:

My wife and I were driving down this old back road yesterday doing about 65 mph (in no mans land- Montana), and I was eating an apple. SOoooo, I took my last bite and threw the core out the window... The window was up.... Duh...I thought the window was down.. Hey, it was so clean I really thought it was down. The apple smashed against the glass, splattered, bounced off the window, smacked me on the left cheek of my face, then fell between the door and seat. Had apple all over the place. My wife had tears in her eyes as she laughed at me.....What a memory I left her with! I would have sworn that window was open..

A copy & paste: Since Prince’s character “The Kid” does a couple of potentially hair-damaging maneuvers in Purple Rain, there were actually three bikes used in production. Two were stunt bikes and all three were Hondas. But the main one, the one on the album cover and the one that everybody wants even if they won’t admit it, started out life as a 1981 Honda CB400A “Hondamatic”. Powering the bike was a 395 cc air-cooled twin coupled to a two-speed semi-automatic gearbox, and these remained unaltered as the actual changes were almost purely cosmetic. In getting the full Prince treatment, the bike had its wheels changed from Comstar alloys to spokes and was fitted with a large aftermarket fairing, custom seats with hot pink velour inserts, custom handlebars and a sissy bar on the rear seat. Of course, it was also painted purple to coordinate with the outrageous outfits worn by “The Kid” and featured an early version of Prince’s “Love Symbol” on each side of the fairing in, what else, hot pink.

Well here is the released news on the Full Throttle Saloon guys. I stopped by there today and spoke with grounds manager, and sure enough Mike bought the Broken Spoke and he will have BOTH places open for Sturgis 2016. Full Throttle location will never be what it was, but it will be open and it is the start of a new beginning. My wife and I went over to Broken Spoke, but the gate was closed /locked so I took a few pictures.

Just wanted to share a few pics of what it looks like today (04/18/16)... Such a sad sight, but it is in the embryo stages of being reincarnated. I was escorted today for a behind the "rope" tour of what was the Full Throttle Saloon, and I was able to stand on the exact spot where the fire started. A cooler cord that was pinched causing a flame that ignited a cardboard box. You can buy a bottle/ container of the original ashes of the place if you wish! I was told today that there should be / will be a USA wide NEWS broadcast as to what the future will be on the Full Throttle Saloon. It will be broadcast next week., from what I was told today. Check out the pics attached..sad, sad, sad..

Sure would like to surprise you and show up, but my wife and I will just be getting back home from our trip out west at that time.

When I first opened it, I had another idea as to what it was as I was opening it up.......

My wife and I are in Chicago and will be departing Saturday morning, and when we leave the motel during our stay, we always put the do not disturb sign on the door knob. Our room hasn't been cleaned all week either, but every day, I set the trash just out side our door, then later on in the day when I see the maid cart in the hallway, I take them our used towels and wash cloths and ask for two fresh ones and two new trash bags. We really don't want anyone in our room with all our stuff there, like our prescription drugs (Strong pain pills) and our laptops, etc..

What is wrong with this picture?

NP.. Sorry, I will delete it........It's gone -
We are staying at a Hampton Inn, located in Chicago. I stopped at the front desk and asked for a plastic garbage bag for the small trash can in our room. She asked: How many would you like? I said two please. This is what she gave me...
