  1. Ill keep an eye out for the mistakes too and move them to correct categories also if I find one. I deleted one yesterday for the item was marked SOLD.
  2. You are now in the CORRECT forum... I moved it for you so no need to repost it. I also deleted your other (duplicate) thread too. I can not answer any of your questions for I know very little about the 1st gen bikes. Eck
  3. I do NOT recommend stop leak at all....They can be repaired or replaced.. you don't want stop leak in your engine..
  4. I have a couple Goldwing placards (on both side covers) that I would like to get re-chromed - (or replaced).
  5. Sorry to hear of your loss Gary. Please accept my condolences

  7. Did you charge up the new battery to a full charge before using it? Maybe the battery is just weak from sitting prior to being sold..
  8. I wanted to work in my garage on my project bike, so I opened the garage door and moved my Goldwing outside. As I pulled (rolled) it backwards out of the garage, I used my hip to help balance the bike. Once I got it out in the drive away from the garage door, I put it on its kick stand. THAT is when I noticed the seat has a hole in it....The seat was cold and being an older 2002 model bike, the seat basically "cracked" where I was resting the bike on my hip. SO........ I guess what I am trying to pass on here is hoping my mistake may help someone out there to NOT do what I did... .... you might want to wait until the weather warms that seat up a little or just don't put your hip (or butt) on the seat when it is cold.
  9. This thread has been moved to the Jokes and Humor section.
  10. Got a ticket in Hiawassee a few years back. I don't go in that area if I can void it. I crossed the double yellow line and got a ticket for passing in a no passing zone. The guy in front of me was making a right hand turn and I swerved to give the other riders on my right side a little more room to come into my side of the lane just in case to help avoid a collision, not that they needed it, but was trying to be safe and got a ticket.... Anyway, they got enough money from me for making that move/decision. I agree with GAWildKat on going to Blairsville. Murphy has a few motels but nothing really around them within walking distance to eat, or to just walk and see anything.
  11. I deleted it for you... Eck
  12. He now has another gem to hold on too!!!!!!!! Congrats on the win!!
  13. Prayers, best wishes, and all the hopes in the world that they find the problem and the solution. Eck
  14. Remingtons new Huntsville plant is expected to open in 2016. The move is expected to bring more than 2,000 jobs to the Rocket City within the next 10 years. Remington will now be the third-largest private employer in Madison County.
  15. Words are never adequate in moments like these. I hope you find these words acceptable. There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go. My deepest condolences.
  16. You will only be happy twice with a motorhome.. The day you buy it and the day you sell it.
  17. Well bud, that you do but they are not GOLDwings........ha
  18. Larry, The local news reporter here in Huntsville said that Polaris will be making 4 wheeler off road atv's AND the slingshot here in Huntsville, and the plant will also be set up with four "other" manufacturing lines for future things to come. I only repeated what she said on TV here. She (TV reporter) could have been wrong about the slingshot being made here, not that news reporters would ever say anything incorrect or misleading on TV now would they..(yea right)).
  19. Ah ha djh3, I didn't look to see what gen bike he had...my bad...
  20. Edit: Cowpuc, I think there are two separate things being thought out here. One is, all you "would" need is a drivers license to drive/ride a Polaris in TX... and secondly, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles has clarified its decision to keep the three-wheel Polaris Slingshot off the state’s roads. This may apply to other states as well. According to the DMV, a three-wheel vehicle can be classified as a motorcycle in Texas under either of two definitions laid out in the state’s transportation code: •Section 541.201(9) allows for three-wheel vehicles with saddle-style seating, other than tractors, to be titled as motorcycles. •Section 521.001(6-a) requires that they have an enclosed compartment and feature a steering wheel, seats, seat belts, a windshield and windshield wipers that are in compliance with federal motor vehicle safety standards, plus a structure that passes a roof-crush test. 21. From what I understand, it all depends on how the state laws are written in your state v/s other states. Like TX... TX will not allow slingshots to be registered as a motorcycle because their laws say you have to "straddle" the saddle. You cant straddle the saddle on a slingshot..so they will not let it be registered as a motorcycle until this law has been changed/addressed..
  22. This area is full of aerospace and space engineers and there is going to be a huge cutback in this town shortly........... I think we have only heard part of what is going to happen here in this town at the moment.. They have to release the GOOD news first, before the bad comes.. Military cutbacks are coming soon. I am NOT posting this to get into politics folks, so lets not get started down that road please. Only posting " behind the scene" news....that will hit the TV screens soon (from what I have been told anyway).
