I wouldn't doubt that a bit Cowpuc.. Come to think of it, I did see her with the range door open, and now I am beginning to think that the (white) range is in that same equation of hers... ...........

Ouch, I should have known better Skid.. With it only being a microwave, and not bike related, I didn't think I needed to post a picture, however next time I go out in the garage I will get my camera off my bike and I will snap a shot just for you buddy..

Like most of us here, I too have been bored sitting around in the house due to the cold, snow, ice and just plain bad weather.. Yesterday, the wife placed something in the microwave and when she hit the start button, the microwave made a noise like I have never heard.. I'm in the living room not able to see her, but she says loud enough to me: Honey, I think the microwave quit working. I said Yea, I noticed it did sound right, just a minute.. She opens the door and then closes the door and hits the start button again, just as I was coming around the counter into the kitchen. Talk about a nasty smell....wow..I quickly opened the door to stop the mico and then opened the small cabinet door above it and quickly unplugged it.. You know that smell when you let the "smoke" out of the electronics... well it stunk.....I told her YEP, you done it now.. Glad it was you.. man you would do anything to get a new microwave wouldn't you (just picking on her).. Anyway, it couldn't happen at a better time I guess. I couldn't go riding..., so we both searched microwave's on the web, and picked out one, or should I say SHE picked one out, and NO, it couldn't be a white one like we had...it HAD to be a stainless steel one...you know, to match the fridge she says...... Anyway, We went out in the cold and rain to get it and I removed the old one and installed the new one.. Heck, it gave me something to do other than sitting in that recliner all day again..

When I pull my bushtec with my Goldwing (1800) I get around 28 to 30MPG.. With out it, I would say I get around 35pmg. One time I got 50 mpg on I-65 going south. I had a strong tail wind and I set the cruise at 65 mph. I rode 50 miles right up to the pump at a gas station just to see how much gas it would take and it took one gallon. That never happened again...sniff, tear, sniff..

Although the stats are interesting, I just have to ask, do we really need them?? (As if the boss doesn't have enough to keep him busy and away from his lovely wife now..........)

(Here's something to think about.) I recently picked a new primary care doctor. After two visits and exhaustive lab tests, she said I was doing fairly well for my age. (I am past 60). A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking her, 'Do you think I'll live to be 90?' She asked, 'Do you smoke tobacco or drink beer, wine or hard liquor?' 'Oh no,' I replied. 'I'm not doing drugs, either!' Then she asked, 'Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?' 'I said, 'Not much... My former doctor said that all red meat is very unhealthy!' 'Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, boating, sailing, hiking, or bicycling or ride a motorcycle?' 'No, I don't,' I said. She asked, 'Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or have a lot of sex?' 'No,' I said... She looked at me and said, 'Then, why do you even give a crap?

I have never heard of a helmet holder coming off a Venture. This is a new one for me. almariders, I added your warning information to our VR list of known problems, in hopes to warn others to check mounting hardware for proper tightness. See post #31 here http://www.venturerider.org/forum/known-problems-and-things-to-look-for/1067-list-gen-venture-2.html Thanks for the heads up! Eck

A list of known problems on the Second Gen Venture
Eck replied to Freebird's topic in Known Problems and things to look for
02/21/15 Added this caution note to check the attach hardware on your helmet locks. It was posted (by almariders), that his helmet lock assembly must have loosed up and flew off some where along his ride. (read about it here: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/watering-hole/97797-missing-rt-helmet-holder.html ). -
(Quote) I might not be liable for the early withdrawal penalty on the loan default since I was 55 years old at the time of the default. I think the penalty applies at the time you took out the loan, not when it went into default......What age were you when you took out the loan? As posted above (quote); or after the year in which you reach age 55, there will be no penalty for taking distributions from the plan.

Saw a show last night on TV where the guy poured cider vinegar into a small bucket and then placed a rusty chrome part in it. He said let it soak for 30 minutes to an hour then just rinse the part off and the part looked brand new... add some wax and your back in business....no scrubbing at all.. Heck, I was impressed...........

He meant the MEN on the site are scared to say anything......Heck, it was ONLY a joke...

Wonder if I could just do a post and then do a screen print of my post so that you can actually see what I am talking about ...Here goes...and here is the smiley biker avatar OK, I hope you can view this word document to see what I mean.. What I see when I post.docx

Don, I was afraid to say anything, but since you asked.... The results I am getting still may have something to do with my computer settings for all I know.. Anyway, lets say I type a post or a reply, even this one that you are presently reading now.. After I type it, I highlight it, and change the font to Comic Sans MS. When I do this I get the following at the beginning of my post and at the end of my post I get . If I add a smile like now - I can only see the words; biker.. I do not see the avatar of the smiley biker. However, "after" I click the post quick reply tab, then is when I can see the smiley biker avatar, and the words at the beginning and end of my post (cosmic sans MS & /FONT) are no longer seen.
