She will never stand him up and never let him down. She will reassure him when he feels insecure and comfort him after a bad day. She will inspire him to do things he never thought he could do; to live without fear and forget regret. She will enable him to express his deepest emotions and give in to his most intimate desires. She will make sure he always feels as though he's the most handsome man in the room and will enable him to be the most confident, sexy, seductive and invincible ... No wait. ..........awe heck, .............Sorry........ I'm thinking of whiskey. It's whiskey that does all that stuff.. Never mind ...

WOW... Unreal....So sorry you are having this type of Luck Randy. Hope everything works out for you quickly and cheaply... Would your home owners insurance be able to cover it (after you pay the deductible of course)? Problem is, once you file a claim, they will most likely either cancel you..or raise your premium three times higher...

Any rider who flips the throttle like that when he has (what is supposed to be) his best friend on the bike is a total butt....And that is saying it politely..........

Doug Smith is on his deathbed and knows the end is near. His nurse, his wife, his daughter and 2 sons, are with him. He asks for 2 witnesses to be present and a camcorder be in place to record his last wishes, and when all is ready he begins to speak: "To My son, Bernie, I want you to take the Mayfair houses." "To My daughter Sybil, you take the apartments over in the east end." "To My son, Jamie, I want you to take the offices over > in the City Centre." "To Sarah, my dear wife, please take all the residential buildings on the banks of the river." The nurse and witnesses are blown away as they did not realize his extensive holdings, and as Doug slips away, the nurse says, "Mrs. Smith, your husband must have been such a hard-working man to have accumulated all this property". Sarah replies, "Property ? .... he had a paper route!"

I burned up two and a half tanks of gas yesterday riding with 4 other guys. (Turned over 114,000 miles) Highest part of the day was 97 degrees according to the temp gage on my wing. Dang it was HOT................

As cowpuc and others have said, glad your online posting and are moving around. Pain is healing.....or should I say healing is painful....either way, it hurts..

Any road that lives through the winter elements needs to be kept up, I would have to say. I've seen some nasty pot holes in NC, TN, KY, OH, PA, even here in AL.. heck they all have some bad roads (because the state says there is no (tax) money to repair them), but yet I have seen many a great road in all of them too.

Back up lights...NOT!!!.....I blocked the clear part off with hi-vis aluminum foil. No lighting will show thru the clear area. Only thru the red area of lens. I just finished installing stop lights in the spoiler..I'm done.. Just going to use it as is for a while to see if I really like it and if so, I am going to take it all apart again and match paint it to the wing... [/font] No need for heat shields @BigLenny... I rode over a hundred miles the other day and the trunk didn't even get hot..
-
Skid, I agree with you on this one buddy. I ride "past" North Carolina every year just to get to West Virginia so my best friend and I can ride some fantastic roads.

Added (4) running lights to the little trunk today. Got them wired in and ran the wire harness to the bike. They work great. Next, install lights in the spoiler. I added a better picture of the licking mechanism with the brass spring lock and the "Z" bracket I made for clairity.

That hurt my neck trying to look upside down..
-
@Skid , It appears that your trunk opens to the side.?? Any extra space is good for those shorter trips. Even if it is only to store your wet bike cover in..
-
I have a bushtec trailer that I pull with the wing now, but if I am only going for a long weekend trip, I would rather not pull the bushtec......
-
I wouldn't, but that is my opinion and does not mean it would not work...

You didn't mention if any brake fluid came out when you loosened the bleeder. If no brake fluid came out, then I would totally remove the bleeder in case it is plugged.. Now you know there is a way out (per say) for the fluid to escape. Next, check the fill level on the rear master cylinder. If it is TOO FULL....the brake fluid has no where to go when you push in on the pistons in the caliper. If the piston still doesn't go back in I am beginning to feel like your pistons are corroded and stuck in the bore of the cylinder. To be positive that this IS the problem, go ahead and remove the rear brake line from the caliper (your bleeding the brakes anyway)..Now with the bleeder removed and the brake line removed try once again to push the pistons in. If they do not budge they are frozen, corroded in place. I would pursue a new caliper if this is the case.......

Well it all started when the trunk was white. Measuring, fitting, making brackets and aligning. Today I spent the day taking everything apart, and painting the trunk silver. No, it does not match the exact color of my 02 wing, but using excess spray cans of paint I have on the shelf I came close to making it similar to the color but anyone can tell it does not match. Who cares...not me.. Here are a few pics of it painted silver and I included a couple pics showing how I made the locking mechanism so it stays in place when moved forward towards the rear of the bike. Pic #2434 shows the barn door spring lock, and pic # 2435 shows the bracket I made using a rubber electrical washer (so it don't rattle), and the lock "shaft" fits inside the rubber washer when locked. When I push on the tab on the lock, it disengages and I can roll the trunk backwards (aft) so that I can open the lid with out touching the rear of the bike. Awe heck ...the pictures are not all that clear.......sorry.. `
