Anybody remember this guy? He posted here on the site about he and a friend opening a chrome plating shop some place up north (mid west area if I remember)...

Steve, I went through your parts request list trying to match anything up with the FREE parts I have, and I do not have anything that you are requesting.. Please double check what I have listed on this site below. Let me know if there is anything listed you need. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15244

I have an 05 RSV... At aprox 7k, I had the clicking noise in rear wheel. I pulled it apart, greased drive shaft splines and rear hub pins. clicking has never been heard since!! At aproximately 36k electric fuel pump went out (replaced under warrenty). No other problems other than "preventive maintenance" .. and the normal replacement of tires (on my 4th set), rear brake pads (2nd set), oil & filter changes, fuel filter changed and relocated for my ease of accessability. I really like this bike!

I really dont think it would be adaptable to a 2nd gen with out some type of modification to the attaching point (to the rear axel) due to the location of the 2nd gen mufflers (available clearence), for the swing arm of the trailer, to pivot up & down without interfering (hitting) the bottoms and or insides of the mufflers. I like it, and bet it would be very easy to pull..

Its pouring rain, wind blowing 30 MPH..........you open both doors, cool, the whole car gets washed inside....such a deal...yep real cool invention, makes me want to run out and buy one.... Accidently run up over a curb, bash in the rocker panel, yep your stuck in the car ......I want one.. Im not near as "skinny" as the two women are in the Mpeg...I still couldnt get in between both cars... You pull in your driveway, its raining, you open the door to get out, and the neighbors pet dog or cat jumps in to get out of the rain.. yep, there goes that interior...heck, may as well open the other door so you can chase the pet out and get the whole interior rinsed off.. It would be great to get rid of that drunk whos' sleeping with thier head on the passenger front window...!!!

Food for thought... Check to see if you only blew a hole in the air inlet hose. Yo umay NOT have blown the bladder of the shock.. You can repair the air inlet hose by inserting a plastic union fitting and two small hose clamps. Estimated repair: $3.00 Spray soapy water on air inlet hose, all fittings and then add a little air..watch for bubbles... Good luck.!!

They are "Anti-rotation lock washers" which are to be installed as shown in the first pic. They lock in place and avoid the foot pegs from rotating / moving / slipping after initial adjustment.

If you do not have an exhaust leak..., I suggest you remove the gas tank cover around the ignition switch and see if the gas tank "vent"hose is securely connected / properly... If it is, continue to remove the gas tank entierly of the bike. once the gas tank is off the bike, you can see the TOP side of your engine / carbs...look for dampness..... Take and move the gas tank out away from your bike.. Your bike will still start and run for about 2 minutes... (gas is still in the carbs). Start your bike up and watch all around the top of the carbs for leaks.. Get your "sniffing nose" in gear and sniff around the top of the carbs..again, look for & watch for dampness You just might find a carb screw needs tightened to seal a gasket, or the vent hose was not securely in place.... Good luck!!

My wife and I spent the entire day by ourselves...no kids, no grandchildren, no phone calls, just her and I . We went out to eat. No leftovers-darn...but no dishes no cooking, just relaxing...took a couple naps in fact..loved the peace and quiet.. I must say though, I did miss my grand daughter... shes got me wrapped around her little finger..
