Question on fuel tank and bib
Eck replied to WIKD's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
When you take it off, you can use a good strong fishing string and work it back and forth like a saw blade and it will peel the bib right off.. If you have no use for it, I'ld be interested in it after you remove it I will add it to the free parts list ....... -
Got mine yesterday.. Thumbs up Condor!!!!!!!!! ... thanks

Dont go believing everything you read about working at home and making it rich..or even comfortable... If it was all that true and easy, no one would be working at factories...and or stores..they would all be working from home .. The only thing that pays well by working form home is... ops got to keep it G rated.

OK, I surely am no Doctor, and being like most here I too didnt know what trigger finger was, so I looked it up. Here ya go! The cause of trigger finger is a narrowing of the sheath that surrounds the tendon in the affected finger. Tendons are fibrous cords that attach muscle to bone. Each tendon is surrounded by a protective sheath — which in turn is lined with a substance called tenosynovium. The tenosynovium releases lubricating fluid that allows the tendon to glide smoothly within its protective sheath as you bend and straighten your finger — like a cord through a lubricated pipe. But if the tenosynovium becomes inflamed from repetitive strain injury or overuse or due to inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, the space within the tendon sheath can become narrow and constricting. The tendon can't glide through the sheath easily, at times catching the finger in a bent position before popping straight. With each catch, the tendon itself becomes irritated and inflamed, worsening the problem. With prolonged inflammation, scarring and thickening (fibrosis) can occur and bumps (nodules) can form. http://www.mayoclinic.com/images/image_popup/r7_triggerfinger.jpg

Ouch..............this wobble will leave a scar http://www.geocities.com/motorcycle_.../tankslap2.mpg First thing I would do is pull in the clutch and let off the gas at same time..Do not apply the brakes until you have it under control. Then and only then "slightly" apply the front brake first for a sligth drag onthe front wheel, then apply the rear..only to slow it down.. Never slam on the brakes... In my opinion, speeding up causes "more bruises" (or worse), iif you cant (or dont) get it under control..............

It is a very nice place to have a M&E, but the only thing I dont like about it is that you have to travel on a dirt road to get back to where it is... When you get 3,000 motorcycles on a dirst road your really not going to have a clean bike when you get there... The place is still growing..... When I went there, we stayed about two exits south on I-75 of where it is because there is really NOTHING at the intersection where you get off to go to it..the place is out in the middle of nowhere..and after one day, of being there, you are ready to go some place else.

Squidley, Not trying to pick it to death, but there is one more thing I sure could use I am in the market for that small "heat shield" that is located on the very top of the rear valve cover, right under the drivers seat. I think it is on the drivers side.. -

Squidley, I know you do not have this listed, but do you have the driving light adapter bar that moves the driving lights "down" and "out" away from the front fairing? If so, I would be interested in that.. -
JC Whitney has trunk bibs. Not sure if they are what your looking for but I have one on my trunk.. You can see part of it on the attached photos. Note: The chrome rack came from JC WHitney also.. but I would never buy another chrome rack from them... it's cheap chrome!!!

Yep, this would be a possible site to see, but it really depends on what his terminology is of the "taking the low road". If he is talking about taking I-10 over to the east coast, the going to the Barbers Museum would be way out of his way... Silver Bullet, Maybe we could get some directions of th eroute he is planning to take, and then we might be able to help with places of interest along the way..
