Dyna Beads - Tire Balancing
Eck replied to KeithR's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I read about these a while back and always wondered if they would make noise when your rolling about 5 MPH....like in a parking lot and pulling up in front of a bunch of HD Bikers parked along the sidewalk.. Now that would be embarassing... -
Sorry, but I dont have time for flower gardens, shrubs and or hedges.. Eats up gas money (and my time) I can use for riding..

Time frame was last summer, at the Vogel rally, and it was the day when everyone rode the dragon. We were at the resturant/ store at the south end of the dragon, and a couple from canada came in pulling a unigo and parked very close to me... I walked over and began looking at the unigo trailer, because it was the first one I saw up close.. in person. The guy said it pulled so nice he could not tell that it was really behind him. He said he liked it when cornering and really liked the capability it has when at a motel because he could pull it into the room for "lock up"/ storage, and go for a ride with out it being attached. Now his wife on the other hand was adiment in dissatisfaction with it because according to her, there was no room for anything in it. She mentioned something about the hassel of trying to get a suit case in and out of it as a real PITA, because you have to squeeze , push abd pull everything in and out of it. The door openeing was not large enough for her likeing.. SO.. in rounding up my investigation, I figured the unigo trailer was the way to go if you would be traveling all by yourself with no plans to stop and buy nick nacks, or take along 5 pairs of jeans and T-shirts for a two day weekend trip.... I also determined quickly that it would not be the type of trailer one would want to purchase if you "know", you will be traveling two up because if your passenger is not a happy camper with the unavailabe "space" and ease of accessability to her things, then you can bet your trip is going to be one you wished you were rideing single on.......

I remember back in the late 70's I owned three weckers and belonged to AAA. State hwy patrol called me at 3am about a guy with a flat on the I-79 interstate. It was about 10 degrees, winter, windy, and I get up out of that warm bed, get dressed and off I go. I get to the car, and there is an older man, a young woman (early 20's)with a baby, and a young man (mid 20's). When I pulled up, the young man gets out ,opens the trunk, pulls out the spare, pulls out the jack and 4-way lug wench, and begins jacking up the car. He then brekas the lugs, and then jacks the car up the rest of the way, he removes the lugs, and I roll him the spare..he picks the spare up and puts it on the lugs and begins to instal the luug nuts.. I said, well, it looks like you got it bud, you cna have it..and I left.. Next thing I know AAA cancelled my services for 30 days for leaving a tripple A member to change thier own flat.. I could not use my wreckers (for any AAA call's) for 30 days because the guy turned me in for leaving him and not changing the flat tire.. Yet he changed the darn thing himself while I just stood there...all he had to do was tighten the lugs when I left.. Hell, I was cold just standing there...

Help!! Need Headlight Change Options.

As Freebird posted, you can purchase the replacement light here: http://www.coolbulbs.com You can email sales and request thier phone number to call them if you wish: sales@coolbulbs.com Tell them you need part number 102HB2 which is the 7 inch round lens. You will re-use your old light bulb so remove it with care from the rear of the old housing and it fits into the rear of the new light housing assembly. For any questions you may have doing this head light mod, you can email me through this site. I sent you an email with my phone number.. -
Pick, If you just happen to shut the ignition key off, just as the #1 cyl began it's "fuel intake stroke" the cylinder could not have fired and thus pulled fuel into the cylinder and your plug may be seem to be a little wet.. I promise you that cylinder IS firing because if it were not, we would not have been able to sync your carbs Friday morning. As for they type plugs you have. I would run the plugs you installed, and not worry about a thing. Believe me, at one heat range (hotter or colder) you wont notice a difference at all.

That is really neat..your wife and my wife have something in common.. My wife paints minatures also..all though she has not done my workshop/ bike garage. Here is something she painted. She painted a whole set of minature dishes and this is one plate of the set. The set she painted had 4 dishes, 4 cups, 1 sugar bowl, 1 creamer and a pitcher..

Should I disconnect before charging or is it ok to just connect, and let it run? Yep...it's ok to hook it up (correctly) and let the charger run. Just make sure your key is in the OFF position...

Well for about $2k in moving expenses, you could move south and get out of snow country like some of us other folk have done.. Just think abuot riding almost every month out of the year, and only having about 8 weeks of cold weather, with no snow, (or only a dusting). Yep, I have a furnace too, but I am sure mine only runs a small percentage of what yours does.. Oh, and you could join us at all these breakfast and lunch meet & eats we have down here too......... All in all, what you save lots in energy costs, but you burn it back up in fuel for the bike and all the eats and drinks we have down here...

pressure bleeds off of rear shock
Eck replied to TxVenture's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
You can also purchase a small "kids" bottle of buble soap that the kids blow bubles with using that plastic spoon with the hole in the end.. you can pick up a little bottle at any local dollar store.. Pour it into a small spray bottle and spray it on the shock and air lines. It is a very light soapy solution and will easily show you where the leak is and it will not harm your paint finish...
