    sheepskins

Wild Hair gave me a piece of riding advice last year up in Fort Collins... He said, go to the local dollar store and buy yourself a throw mat that you place in front of the bath tube (for a buck or two at most). Get one the same color as your bike.. Fold it in half and put the fold on th efront part of the east, with a bungie cord going thru the fold and hook the bungie under the seat on each side.. Take a pocket knife, and poke / cut a small hole in each the two corners and place a bungie hook thru each corner hole...tie the bungie cord to the chrome center trunk rack and you have the same effect that a sheep skin has and a whole lot cheaper.. I did just this while in Ft. Collins, and when I left there I rode 14.5 hours straight and my butt didnt sweat.. If you want to know what to use when riding you have to ask the one and only VR icon man who rides..(LA Pryor)..
  3. same here JT...we are still with you in spirit and prayer..

  6. Hey Joe, Just an indea that may help.. You might check at your local electric guitar store.. They should carry several remplacement knobs that are small and even some in chrome that might work for you, and they also have replacement knobs for thier amplifers.. I'm sure they arent much at all either...a buck or two..

  13. Well Im jellous now......... Sure would like to own one myself Bill... Ild have to take it for several rides by myself before I let my better half ride on it with me though so I am confident I know the bike and how it handles....
  14. Take your left side battery cover off for visability and accessability purposes. You will see that small rubber plug mentioned in the above post on the swing arm.. Just pop the rubber plug out..(You will snap in back in later). Take a metal coat hanger (or welding rod as you mentioned) and shape it into a small letter "J" Carefully slip the letter J part into the small hole on the swing arm and by "BRAIL" slip it "around" the shaft coupler that is inside the housing. You can have someone lightly pull up on the coupler with th ecoat hanger, while your at the rear end with your hands on the drive shaft and slip the drive shaft into the housing and into the coupler while your friend is helping you line it up.. I always leave my bike in gear when I pull the shaft out, and use the coat hanger to align it back up, but you do not have to leave it in gear as I do. I just find it easier for ME..
  15. Hey, Eck, those ape hangers look awfully high! Can you reach them sitting down?

    Hi guy,

I just now noticed you posted the above question...

Those ape hangers are the custom installation I did to my step sons bike in 05...

Not sure if you noticed, abut about three weeks ago, I sold that bike to a guy in Hazel Green. In fact he joined this site, but off the top of my head, I do not remember his site name (or real name ) for that matter..

When I installed those ape hangers, I ran every wire inside the ape hangers so you could not see one wire.. I changed all the cables to Stainless Steel too..

It took me about 4 days to complete the installation from start to finish..

My step son wanted those ape hangers on it, but I didnt.. but hell it was his bike..as long as he paid for it, but when he fell behind in th epayments where I had to make them up, I sold it..

FENNER_GL1800 Talking GL-1800.exe Supposedly, (could be faulse) but the Honda Motor Company announced its plans for the new 2009 GL-2000 Goldwing touring bike. The new Goldwing will replace the industry-leading GL-1800 Goldwing which went into production in 2001. The 2009 GL-2000 Goldwing will feature a larger 2.0 litre (2000 cc) 6-cylinder engine matched to a new 6-speed transmission.
