  1. I drilled the rivets that held the three bags to the back plate and removed all three bags from the plastic back plate. Then I aligned the center bag (by eye) to the center of the windshield, while I sat on the bike in a straight up position. I had my wife (using a black marker) put a dot on the outside of the windshield where the rivet holes are in the bag. Then I drilled samll holes in the windshield where she placed the black dots. I then installed small black allen head screws (from the front side of the windshield thru the leather bag, and used chrome acorn nuts to fasten the leather bag to the inside of the windsheild. The I placed (one at a time) each side bag in its position and had my wife makr the windshield for them, and mounted them the same way. Now when I remove my windshield the three bags are attached to it all in one piece. I also placed some velcrow under each leather bag on the edge of the dash board so that they do not scuff up the paint from vibration or movement...

  5. You are looking to get killed aren't you...or want to kill someone else..
  6. You could relocate it..... I relocated mine last year under the seat in front of the battery box, and it is real easy to get to now..
  7. You are most welcome my friend. Just thought going with the linear actuator would be much better than the hydralic push rods version. You did good!!! Hey, let me know when your going to your Tn company again, and I will meet you for lunch or dinner..
  8. Now thats my kind of luck...they said it was supposed to rain here most of the day, and I have yet to see a drop...but I spent about 7 hours cleaning and waxing my bike so it WILL rain here soon... as soon as I pull it out of the garage..

    Freebird

Wasn't sure if it was some thing related to the Muffinman ( being Pink) or if it was related to Skid (being a pig)..
  10. Don, You stated you; had put the float bowl covers on the wrong carbs, front to back... do you think by chance that the carb floats may have "lightly" shaffed or rubbed against the inside of the bowl covers, since they were installed wrong/ backwards, causing some kind of "minor" friction which impacted the "free movement" of the floats?

    Hot Key

My same thoughts too Gary, as I read his posting... Yep, I think you better stop at the dealer and ask them to order you a new one..
  13. When I was searching for mine, I found many sites had "rebuilt" and or "repaired" Zumos that they were selling cheaper then most other reliable places. I do not see where the one you posted is rebuilt or repaired, but if all the reviews are negative, it raises my suspisions that it may be repaired or rebuilt and right now my gut feeling is telling me its negative deal....I would look elsewhere..
  14. Maybe this will brighten things up........
  15. Heck with the bike, it can be fixed...or replaced..but I'm more interested in how did the bourbon work from the inside.........?? Glad your OK my friend.. By the way, dont forget $5.00 goes to paypal..........Hey, you started it..
  16. Wow you are one lucky couple. You two just completed one of my long life dreams... Like Skid said, I want to go out west real bad....and believe me...some day I will....
  17. Well I dont know, I mean with one kid screaming for ice cream, the other kid crying due to a dirty diaper, her redneck boyfreind on the porch yelling to look out, the rockwaller chained to and barking in the truck bed, black mascara running in her left eye, answering the ringing cell phone, spilling her fresh cold beer on the seat, and trying to see with out having a side view mirror, how in the world would you expect her to see, hear or know that she knocked your bike over... Hell, I wouldnt have known I hit it either..... dang Randy, give her a break... Ok, with all joking aside Randy, like Redneck said, tell them you want a loaner until the claim is settled....(tell them you want a 2nd Gen loaner too ). As I read the beginning of your post, I too was wondering if your company security by chance had a camera that may have caught the hit & run. Oh, and it is a darn good thing you listened to the bad ash redneck on the porch , cause I would hate to see you be walking away with an A$$ whippin "AND" a wrecked bike..
  18. Well ride safe on your trip, and watch out for that other guy, cause he's just around the corner...

    Broken Grip

BigD, I checked and found that I do have a left Kuryakyn grip, hpwever the black rubber piece is damaged just a litte bit, and the chrome part has some glue spots on it from where the previous owner applied a little to much glue. Telling it like it is: It is not perfect, but will work in a pinch. If you want it you can have it..just send me your address and I will ship it to you.
  24. This was BEFORE I picked up my Zummo 550....(it worked too)
