  3. Hope the wife is on the road to complete recovery now bud.. Hey, Dont forget to hook the vacumm cleaner to the walker... This way, every time she does get up to tak a walk she can do something contructive while at it.. Gosh, I bet I'm off to a great start in meeting you and your wife huh..
  4. Java, So as not to re-invent the wheel (per say), you might want to page down to the lower part of this page. There are some other postings below that conatin a whole lot of information on stereo upgrades including the installation of ampliphiers.

  12. Get an old wash cloth Ask the wife for her house hold IRON.....offer to buy new one if you damage this one turn the iron on hot and let it heat up Cover the plastic on the part with the old wash rag.. once iron is hot, iron over the wash cloth heating the plastic up and it will stick to the rag.. Warning: flip rag often ......or you will be buying her a new iron...........
  13. LA, Heck yea..that is my kind of riding.. no plans per-say, no specific direction in mind, just GO......about 5 hours later, hit home on the GPS..(sorry, I do have to work..one more yr) I too have seen many interesting places doing just that...just take a back road, come up to stop sign, and just turn one way or the other.. who knows, who cares... you might come around a corner right into someones garage... yep, ask me how I know...done it..
  14. sounds like the plastic wrap is "melted" on it not just stuck to it.. if you really feel it is being held on with some type of glue / adhesive, spray some WD-40 on an area of one and let it sit for about 10 minutes and see if it loosens the glue up in that area..if it works spray and soak them in WD-40..
  15. Kbay, Tell Janet we are thinking of her and hope she (and you ) pull through this without any more set backs. And wash your dirty hands before changing out her dressings... Our hearts and prayers are with you.

  18. Yep, I up-shift often with out using clutch and sometimes have my coffee cup in my hand while doing it.... This same method of shifting was mentioned a while back by someone else too, but I think his posting on it was lost when the site crashed...
  19. Oh yea, I can just see all the Venture Rider.Org members doing this at the next rally...
  20. In an hour from now if the fan comes on when you turn your key on, then yep, I would say you do have a problem.. (You could place a box fan in front blowing on the radiator to cool it down faster...) In the mean time, you can check a couple things.. remove your drivers seat and check the coolant fluid level... Look underneath the bike, all around, everywhere, for any sings of a coolant leak..
