You have come up with one heck of an ieda and mod that many would be interested in and want. So with out any intention of being rude, I would like to say, please dont let a good thing such as this idea slide to the way side ....as I let mine go... Many folks search all thier life or an opportunity, and it appears, one is on your door step.

Well I better show up at this one for sure..and I wont be late.. Ok, time to let the cat out of the bag as to what I am going to Peach Tree City to buy as a replacement bike. Sorry, but it is not a Yamaha, or a Venture..but it is a GW. Here are the particulars of what I bought. 2002 GL-1800A For Sale FULL Traxxion Suspension Upgrade! Included in this sale/on the bike: 42,000 +/- miles FULL Traxxion upgrade $2300.00 + New tires, less than 1500 miles Spare rear wheel with brand new tire mounted Hidden trailer hitch w/ wiring harness, never used! Rear passenger arm rests Rear Spoiler w/ LED’s Rear rack w/ waterproof, heavy duty bag GL1800 Carpet liners in trunk and sides Deluxe GL1800 trunk and side case liner bags (with GW logo, etc.) Highway pegs Driving lights J&M integrated audio system: Listen to AM/FM/CB/CD/XM Radio/iPod/Cell phone/GPS/Radar Detector 6 CD - CD Changer J&M Bluetooth (works great!) Cords for rider/pillion intercom Muth signal mirrors Garmin 276c series, with power and audio XM radio with antenna, power and audio cords Radar Detector, power and audio for Valentine 1 Newer model year windshield w/ air vent Old windshield included New Bike Cover Harbor Freight trailer I installed shocks on the trailer to make the ride smoother yes, believe it or not…sidecar body with plexiglass cover lid, with no wheel / axel or framework I’m selling because the bike just doesn’t fit my riding style. I bought it and set it up to ride 2-up with a former girlfriend. I have only ridden it on occasion to keep it ready to go…..less than 100 miles in the last year. It’s a shame to have such a well-equipped bike sitting in my garage when someone else can be enjoying it. I KNOW I’ve forgotten some of what is included, and will update things as I remember them.

Intercom volume adjustment
Eck replied to phochief's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
you first have to select IC and then you can adjust the volume. Once you get it to where you want it, then you select Acc to listen to your MP3 player and control that volume.. Whatever volume you want to control, you must first select that feature then adjust it. -

Maintenance on a RSV
Eck replied to FL-Venture-Rider's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Hi Marco, Hey, I attached a link (below) for you to read. It will give you some ideas on what to look for as far as " known problems " with RSV's However, please understand that not all bikes are the same, which means that the one your looking at may not show any signs of the known problems listed in this link, and then again that bike could have a few or a bunch of them. I am attaching the link to "improve your knowledge" about the RSV in general, and not to pursuade you or influence you on your buying decision on any RSV you look at. Before you click on the link, please note that I had an 05 RSV up until last week (wrecked it), but I really really liked that bike. Yes, it had a couple of the known problems listed, but I fixed them with the help of others on this forum, and my bike was as dependable as any out there. I would get on it today and ride to California if I could. So with that being said, I ask that you read the info on this link with an open mind and it will improve your knowledge on what to look for or even ask the previous owner about, prior to you buying one. Hope it helps answer some of your questions. One other thing. Whether it is an 03,04,05,06,07, 08 or 09 RSV..they are all build the same, they all have the same exact parts and the only difference is thier color...!!! Known problems with RS- Ventures http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1067 -

Bubber, I thought of one more thing you might want to consider prior to installing that wagner drill. I "temporairly" installed it holding it in by hand to see where the back side of the grill would rub on the radiator. I then removed the grill and installed some rubberized tape to those areas to avoid any chaffing. Then I perminately installed the grill and the back side of the grill now helps hold the rubber tape in its place. (rubberized tape was palced along the top & bottom of radiator)

One more word of caution (ask me how I know)... Watch that the studs on the aft side of the grill (the studs that hold the screen in place) that they do not scratch the lower fairings as you slide it in between the front fender and lower fairings to get it to the radiator. The studs stick out past the fiberglass just enough to scrape and scratch the lower fairings, so you might want to place a towel or rags over th elower fairings and front fender so you dont scratch anything...

Well, I guess it could, but never ever heard of this..?? I have heard of riding slow and very safe the first 50 miles or so to scuff in the tire, but I have never ever heard anything about putting dressing on a bike tire.. never have I heard this before..wonder what is available to back up this therory other than hearsay, for I would really like to read more about this to what effects, if any, it has on the rubber tire itself, or if it is a possible safety hazard like yamahamer mentioned above.

Eck replied to Ferrantelli's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
You might be able to heat them up just a little with a hair dryer to reactivate all the glue where it doesnt stick... dont hold th eair ghun on it to long though... -
KiteSquid, By any chance, do you have constructive evidence as to why you believe this to be true? I would like to know and understand why you say this?
