I want to thank everyone who was able to make this short notice M&E gathering. I was shocked at having 25 people show up in such short notice. Goes to show the folks in the south KNOW how to throw a party ... and do it quick.. Does this mean a challenge for the northern members now... Dragonrider, I hope you enjoy the ribs we left in your van... (our to go box)... sorry we forgot to get it when we got out of your van.. Many thanks tooooooo for the ride to DQ and back to our motel.. I look forward to next weekend so we can do it again...Konnie and I will be back here in town next Friday evening and we will be staying untill Sunday morning, so if you guys want to get together for another night out with our ladies ......lets do it.

As DragonRider said, we all heard about this from Yamaduck when he arrived at a our dinner meet & eat in Peachtree city, Ga last night. Yamaduck also said they were planning on coming to this M&E in hopes of finally meeting up with some of VR family members to put a face with a name, but because of this accident they were not able to make it. I send them both many "get well wishes" and hope we have a sucessful chance to meet each other another day down the road soon.

Cougar, Now that looks is really really nice my friend. Very nice...!!!! I like the appearence from the back of it too. Have a question on your trailer. What kind of LED light strip is that on the rear of the trailer and the "V" shapped turn signal LEDs.. where did you get those? The trailer top I have is appears to be exactly identitcal to yours, and I really like the way you inserted the rear LED lights on the trailer. Is that a standard cooler rack too, or did it come with your piggyback? I dont have a piggyback trailer, but th etop of mine appears to be identical to yours. You did a really nice job on that trike ......again, very nice job!!

Well If I may, I tend to disagree bit in that this "gel" must remain somewhat in a liquid state, to be able to "flow" into a puncture. If it was baked on the inside of the tire where it is a completely dried surface, then it would not be pliable and would surely "crack" especially with the flexing of the side walls. I know they say they BAKE it onto the inside of the tire, and i am sure they clean the inside tire surface chemically to remove any powder, oils or FOD. I would then assume that must be so a thin thin layer of the material can "properly bond" to the inside rubber surface, however the remaining (bulk) of the material inside the tire needs to remain pliable to be able to flow into a very small hole caused by a screw or nail. Being (in my opinion) the remaining bulk of the material is still pliable, when ever the bike is parked for a duration of time the material may flow to the bottom side of the tire and as it fills up per say, it may touch the inside of the rim causing corrosion of some type like that green tire goop junk does to aluminum Just my opinion now..

Not sure what you mean by "remove the rubber strip" but if you are reffering to the adhesive strip that is under the stock leather bib, I personally would remove it and replace this adhesive strip with new fresh double sided tape. If you want a really good bond...remove the stock adhesive strip, clean the area of the tank with alcohol..not the whole gas tank now just the area where the bib was. Now place a strip of the new two way tape onto the tank in the cleaned area The place another strip of new two way tape onto the new leather bib (bottom side-duh), starting around the gas tank hole, carefully align the new bib as you carefully rub the tape together as you work towards the front edge of the drivers seat working out any bubbles or "lifts" in the leather. -
wonder what effect it has on the aluminum wheels.......... or any type rim for that matter..
