Clean out garage, no need to worry about new bike...no place to keep it.. Ok, .........I'll be serious now.. Your legs would definately be able to touch the ground on it.. They sit fairly low to the ground. 2nd gen's, some people have an issue with touching flat footed on ground, and install a lowering kit.

You know those pictures you get in the mail with your vehicle in the middle of an intersection and there is a dollar amount you "owe"..and must be paid... Well Don may be getting a photo of his title in the mail with a $5.00 fee (per month) that it was not transfered......

I have a photo that I took where I was standing underneath and in front of the cement launch pad....... I carefully climbed down the left side of the pad & edge of the mountain and took a photo of a guy leaping off the pad.. about 1 mile north of there was a lot for sale where you could see forever........ it was just a smidggin out of my price range....

Your lucky for sure Freebird. I got lucky myself when I bought my GW, side car body and trailer together. We drew up a bill of sale, I paid him and came back to Huntsville. About three days later I went to get plates and realized then that the bill of sale only addressed the bike and the bikes vin number and amount I paid. However, the amount I paid was for all three items and the trailer also has a vin number, (side car body does not). After I explained to the lady that I bought all three items at once, I really thought she was going to tell me to go back to the guy I bought it from and get another Bill of Sale. She asked her supervisor what she should do, and her supervisor said go ahead and give him plates for both... Man I wanted to hug that lady........

only female wasps have the ability to sting. Yellow jackets, along with other wasps and hornets, can sting multiple times, and they may live for up to 24 hours after stinging you. It just BEE that way..........

The bike just died for no reason today
Eck replied to Midrsv's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Man your picking my brains, and I have very little left.. I do not want to mislead you in trying to answer your question and act like I know exactly what tools you would need.. I do not know. I do not have a RSV sitting here to go look at or I would go look to see and then make up a list of tools you would need. I have to find / borrow someones RSV to look at then I can tell you more.. As mentioned above, you can remove your left side cover and then tap on it and it should begin to work again. If it does, head to the nearest yama dealer or home.. -
Cinderella & Bill I just bought three raffle tickets via pay pal.. Send winning ticket to me in Huntsville.................... Sorry I can not make this event...

The bike just died for no reason today
Eck replied to Midrsv's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I would also say it is your fuel pump if you have not had the fuel tank off like Squidley mentions. Mine did the same thing. I found out after having Yama replace mine under warranty, that if you carry the right tools with you, you can take the fuel pump apart on the side of the road, clean the contacts and it will work like a new one... -

front end floating feeling
Eck replied to Brake Pad's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Im my experience, the floating feeling came from when I was riding on very smooth patched areas of pavement (tar'd areas) like when riding on the yellow or white lines. Being that you have an 07 model and did not mention how many miles you may have on your tires, they too could be an issue. You would have to check them for tread depth, and basic normal signs of wear. If your tires tread is worn down you will get that floating or uncontrolable feeling. If the air pressure in your tires is to low you could get the same feeling If the wheel bearings are worn /going bad, you could experience the same feeling (unlikely the wheel bearing bushings are worn out, but it is possible) If the swing arm bushings are getting worn you could feel the same floating (unlikely the swing arm bushings are worn out, but it is possible). Did you check your handle bar neck bearings for proper adjustment? They could be loose and causing the floating feeling. -
3 pouch windshield bag call toll free at 877-223-1602 if you have any questions or want more information $85.00 http://www.chilhowee.net/motorcycle-tool-bag/060518008.html I drilled out the two small rivets that hold each bag to the plastic backing plate. I discarded the backing plate. I then placed the bag on the windshield and marked the windshield as to where the two holes were for each bag. I did the center bag first aligning them by eye Then I drilled the (6) small holes through the windshield. (2) holes for each bag I then installed two small "black" allen head screws through the windshield from the front and through the same holes the rivets went throught the leather bags, then installed two chrome acorn nuts (per bag) on the inside edge of eadch bag so that the chrome acorn nut matched the chrome domes on each bag. I received some comments that by drilling the windshield that the windshield will crack, but after two years of them being installed on it, the windshield never cracked at all. In fact it never cracked even when I had my accident when I totaled the bike.. You drill the holes in the windshield just a "little" bit larger in diamerter then the diameter of the screw.. so you have some allowables for expansion and contraction..

Same luggage carrier I have on mine. I didnt like the way the lid opens to 45 degrees, and you have to bend down to rach back and in to get something. SO........this is what I did to mine. I drilled out the (8) small rivets that hold the (4) brackets that the (2) plastic lid hinge/ holders attach to. Discarded the plastic hinge holders alltogether. I reinstalled the (4) metal brackets that the plastic hinge/ holders attached too using small bolts, plastic washer on outside, and locking acorn nuts on inside. I then installed two pieces of small thin chain that were long enough to connect from one bracket on the box to the mating metal bracket that is mounted on the lid. After you install the chain, you can open the lid where it leans forward and the chain holds it open. You cut the length of the chain so that when the lid leans forward it does not hit hte rear center trunk on the bike. You now have FULL ACCESS to the entire lugage box and the lid is completely up and out of the way... You could also install two of those mini gas struts to open and hold the lid opne, like they have on the rear of those hatch back cagers........

Help with carb sync. Knoxville, TN
Eck replied to eazyduzzit's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Brakepad, I use a Carb Tune meter to sync the carbs. Once all four vacuum mercury columns are level, your in the grove............... Each bike is different, and there really is not a set setting that fits them all.
