I liked the way mine handled when traveling at 65 to 68 MPH. It seemed my bike was in it's "zone" at that speed. If I went 80 or faster my eyes seemed to vibrate. 50 to 68mph was always fine with me.

Garage door opener mounted
Eck replied to SteveP's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I mounted mine on the back side of the headlight switch housing. I used the chrome piece off an ink pen. I had to drill the hole diameter a little bigger and installed a wired up switch, and filled the chrome piece with black RTV making it water proof. Ran m wires to the garage door opener as shown in above posts but my opener was located between the left front fork and rear side of fairing held on by velcro. -

Congratulations on the beginning of a 3rd generation "venture"... Keep him inside protected from the elements, with his shell covered, oiled & fed with his filtering system changed regularly, carefully wash and wax him on a daily basis, and I'll bet he will out last all of us.. Time for you to really see and understand what the word "spoiled" means.. Cant wait for the day he asks for the keys to your bike....

I too, like Dale, will wait for the final sentencing and when the sun rises where all this is behind your family. My heart and thoughts are with you all.

I really happy to hear you have some hope to hang your hat on Dan. Hang in there bud.. I just called the insurance company of my 2nd hit & run, and she told me again that she still does not have a copy of the police/ accident report...and that she cant do anything for me until she receives a copy of it. Accident happend May 30th....I guess it's being shipped / delieved by slow camel....

Carefully pry them up using a small pocket knife blade. I suggest that you pry them up from the forward side / edge, so if you happen to booger the edge up you can always reinstall them with the boogered edge towards the front of the bike. This way no one can see the little markson th echrome edge when sitting in the saddle.......
-
As already mentioened Dan, DO NOT install to high side.. the small can will explode in your hand and you will be off that bike even longer.......... if uncertain, do mot move forward, but ask again...read up on A/C recharging a little more please. http://www.id-usa.com/how_to_recharging.asp

Well in my observation of the photo, it appears to me that he is in the left turning lane and he has a red light. The green light is for the lane on his right and it also appears that when I look through the intersection I can see that it is a two lane road with a left hand turning lane. Look at the lines in the pavement they appear to be wet, but the run into the center of the lane ahead of him showing that it is a left turn lane.. I agree he is nuts for trying to ballance his bike and talk on a cell phone a t tha tt ime, but I think he is stting at a red light and waiting for it to turn green.

Where is this oil comming from?
Eck replied to GeorgeAdam's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Sounds like it could be the rear Drive shaft seal has gone bad and is leaking oil out the drain hole on the lower aft side of the drive shaft housing. Look about 2 to 3 inchs forward of the rear hub on the bottom side of the drive shaft housing for a small hole and see if oil is coming out of it. If the oil is coming out of it then it is splashing onto your mufflers and this is where you could be smelling oil buring. You could possibly also notice "spots" of oil on the rear / back side of the left saddle bag.. Did you, or the shop pull, the drive shaft out recently? If not how about did you change the oil recently...?? You might have over filled it and it is running out of the over flow tube- 10 replies

(1) Chrome valve stem cover for front wheel (2) used rear brake pads that can be used when the rear inner pad has worn down and yet the outer pad is still good..
