Yep, with a 1st gen you might need that rolling work shop.. Hey, Im only picking at you... When I had my enclosed trailer to haul my 2nd gen, I had it fixed up with tool box, fan, work shelf, air bed, air compresser, 110 and 220 volts inside and out..and even a coffee pot......with two fold up chairs.

if it had a center stand... I think if need be, we can find a cement block or something simular, and with two people (one each side) we can grab front crash bars and carefully pick it up high enough to place on the cement block to adjust the neck bearings... even a small screw jack from a camper and have a couple folks hold the bike while working on it...

Wes, You will need to have a jack to get the front tire off the ground, to adjust the bearings. If someone has one I will adjust our bearings for you..

(quote) The one that came on the bike is of unknown make or model to me In my opinion after reviewing the photos, the rack appears to be a home made rack that someone made, and then they had it chromed. Even the attaching angles and doubler plates on the inside, (to me), just dont appear to be factory made. If this is true, you will play havac in matching the hole patteren with another rack. I myself would probubly just go buy the rack that I want, and plug the 4 holes in the trunk lid. You can take the lid off, have the holes filled and sanded, then match painted to your bike, and then just drill new holes to match the new rack that you really want. just my 2 cents

Nate, I know you feel like the world is resting on your shoulders about now, but in an effort to make you laugh .........I got to say I sure as heck couldnt sleep along your side and listen to that snoring of yours either... Heck, one night of your snoring at Sleeperhawks place was enough for me......and I even moved down stairs and could still hear you.. But, all in all I sure enjoyed meeting you and really enjoyed the laughs we had that night. As for your future: At times it may seem like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but trust me Nate, there is..

Well, speaking frankly my friend, all I can say is you are one lucky man, but dumb one to do such a thing... Ok, Now dont let that word (dumb) hurt your feelings any for its a figure of speech.. My brother did the same thing one night. He went to a guys house, walked in the front door, and let the guy know he was there to whip his butt.. however, the guy jumped off the couch with a 12 gauge and shot him twice, killed him and then buired him in the desert. My brother was missing 8 months before the guy admitted to what he did. count your blessings my friend........ I would not suggest anyone doing it .......
