If my body was a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull...But that's not the worst of it. My headlights are out of focus, And it's especially hard to see things up close. My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather. My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins. It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently. But here's the worst of it. Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter, either My Radiator Leaks or My Exhaust Backfires......

Here is all I have on the light spacer bracket ( all copied from other information posted on the site): Note: Slowroll use to make these also beside Bill.... Original bolts are M8x1.25 . (M8's or a 3/8-16 thread) Need Qty of (2) 3/8" NC x 3/4" long bolts and lock washers. Can get these at any Home Depot. Use the 8mm bolts to fasten the bracket where the light bar was and then using the 3/8" bolts bolt the light bar to the bracket spacer is drilled and tapped for M8x1.25 bolts, the same as the bolts on the venture. 3/4" thick piece of Aluminum - 4" wide X 2 1/2" deep Holes to be drilled: 2 on top are 3/8" with the Center to center dimention being 3 1/8" and it will need (2) 8 X 1.25 bolts approx 2" long The lower 2 holes to be tapped in spacer are 1 5/8" center to center from the top holes. You can put (2) 3/4" nuts on the back side of each upper bolt to move it fwd 3/4" You can get fancy if you like, but nobody will see it. Other info copied: Spacer is drilled andtapped for M8x1.25 bolts, the same as the bolts on the venture. It will comewith 8mm.socket head cap screws that are approx. 40mm. long or about1-3/8". Also with M8x1.25x19 hex head bolts. You should be able to use thestainless bolts that came with the Yamaha mounting bar kit to attach the spacerto the bike. It will move the lamps outaway from the fairing about 1-3/8" and about 3/4" lower than originalposition. That is with the Yamaha passing lamp setup. Hope this helps Eck Edit: Email sent to you with more info:

HA... A few weeks back, I took her up to Paris, TN to the Pairs Winery ( http://www.pariswinery.com/) and then we went over to Trimble, TN to Mike Ballards new place (Full Throttle Saloonshine Distillery - http://www.fullthrottlesloonshine.com/ ) and bought a few bottles of some of that clear stuff so I have plenty around that can definitely change her mind..!

I was sitting on the patio with my wife last evening watching the fireworks... She was sipping on a glass of wine. Suddenly she says... "I love you so much, I don't know how I could ever live without you. I sweetly ask, "Is that you, or the wine talking?" She replies, "It's me . . . talking to the wine.....

Well, if everything goes as planned, we are going to attempt to head west once again. Our plans of going out west last year were happily postponed to a later time, due to my son and his wife giving us a surprise home coming from Australia to stay with us for 4 weeks. Loved it too! I'm sorry to say this trip will NOT be on the Goldwing... (a life long dream of mine that just isn't in the cards......this time anyway.......) The below routes are not etched in stone, but give you the basic routes we presently have planned. I have to take my wife up to Chicago for a week in April. After she concludes her business there, we are taking off from there and heading west. The below Google map links show us going in a counter clockwise direction. Not all places have been entered on these links due to Google maps only holds 10 POI at a time..so I just touched some of the basic places. https://goo.gl/maps/pFYv8w6gX7k https://goo.gl/maps/1dyjthv89Qw https://goo.gl/maps/wd5rCHT78V32

Tom, I know it is hard to quit. I went tough it several years back and have never lit up since. Cant stand the smell of cigarettes or cigars at all now. As for the E-Cigs, as expressed in this link, this is my major concern with them. I ask you to PLESASE take a minute and read this. I wish you the best of luck my friend. The way I quit was every time I wanted a cigarette, I just picked up a nasty old ash tray and smelled it. Didn't take long and I couldn't stand the smell anymore.. . http://www.lung.org/stop-smoking/smoking-facts/e-cigarettes-and-lung-health.html

@ rjjammer, your post touches a deep part of my heart, and I want to thank you for such a wonderful offer to help others out. I find your post touching in a way that I can relate too very well. In years past, we had a FREE parts section and I personally saw where several VR family members offered up the spare parts that they had sitting around on a shelf to others here FREE OF CHARGE. At times, even the shipping was free. The FREE parts list / section was a big thing here and it sure helped many members, but a few years later, it sort of fizzled out. Every now and then someone, such as yourself, steps up and offers what they have to others for FREE. I find this a very welcomed offer and hope to see it return through out 2016. I do hope that no one ever takes advantage of asking for a free part, only to sell it later to some one else. Thank you for such an act of kindness!!!!!!!!!!! Pay it forward in 2016.. !!

Got a 6 pack of Fat Tire Beer from the grand daughter and that was it. Guess I wasn't the good boy I thought I was. Having the family here ( and arrive safe) was my Christmas though. They are packing up now getting ready to head back home to NC. Our house will be quiet in about 3 hours from now..........

Merry Christmas to you too Spear. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas holiday with your family and friends!! Hey, my son (Jason) and his wife (Gabriele / i.e. Gabby), live north of you in Broken Hill. They use to live in Adelaide but had to move last year to Broken hill for employment..

Yea man I need a nap......But I have to take my neighbor across town to pick up his truck in any minute now.. Just what I want to do.. His wife is at work and his daughter lives about 20 miles from here so he always asks me to pick him up to take him some where, but I can't complain though, he does put beer in my man cave fridge and pays for our pool games (once in a while...or should I say seldom..ha). Everyone is sleeping right now. By time I get back they should all be up and I will want to take MY nap then...ha.... What a nice way to see your family . Hope you and your whole family have a great Merry Christmas Randy. I'll drink a cold one later for ya!

In years past, every time a tornatic storm approached my wife and I found ourselves getting very nervous and filling with an unknown fear. In this whole neighborhood, there was no place to run, other than the bathroom tub or inside wall closet. I told my wife I would rather burry 5k and know that it is always there in case we ever need it. If / when we ever sell this place I do hope to get some of a return, and now having that comfort zone knowing we have a place to go we both feel much safer now. I was going to build one in my back yard (using cement slab & blocks underground) like you are thinking of, but after looking at the cost of materials, then rental equipment to dig it out and re-fill afterwards, then my labor and time it would take, I decided to just bite the bullet and pay the $4,700 complete for the underground fiberglass unit and installation, including the yard clean up/ leveling done. I sat with a cold one in hand just watching and enjoying the whole installation. After the unit was installed, I dug a shallow trench and ran 110 volts to the underground unit so that I can have electric fan and lights as long as there was power in the area. I also have battery operated lights installed and a weeks supply of food and water including extra clothes. Oh and don't forget the 5 gallon bucket for "dumping" the food you ate, and having paper available... yea man ..the reality of it all...
