  4. I had a 70 Chevelle (mine was a 6 cyl) and my headlights went out also. It was a broken wire off the voltage regulator. On mine: Standing in front of of car, looking aft, and next to right hand side (drivers side) of radiator is where I found a red wire that pulled out of its terminal lug that went to the voltage regulator. This wire was right on top of the other wires and was very easy to see and fix. I removed the lug and since I didn't have another lug at that time, I wrapped the wire around the screw, tightened it, and never had another problem with it. Who knows..you could have the same problem..
  5. I have the bib that was on my RSV that I wrecked last year. I will sell it to you for $30 bucks and that includes postage. Note: I added chrome dome rivets on it as seen in attached photos. If interested, just P-email me.. Eck
  6. Good to hear that Jonas is alive and well Don, thanks for the post. I look forward to seeing him again for like Don said he is a true gentleman, and as already mentioned he is full of life and brings a smile to your face when you meet him. You take care Jonas.. Hope to see you at Dons MD in 2011..
  7. I just happen to know how you feel about people who drive off knowing that they caused an accident.... Sure glad your woman is ok..
  8. It's so cold out the CAT sits across the room to look out the window.... Truthfully, I don't have a cat... One more: It's So Cold Out........ I saw a politician with his hands in his own pockets
  9. Sounds like your about half way done.. heck, may as well just change it out completely and be done with it for peace of mind.. If it is water, you will see it on top of the drained oil...sounds like it is just dirty used oil and needs changed to me..
  10. OK, I will try to delete the one shown on the 12th for you. Hopefully I do not delete all of them.. here goes.. hold tight.. OK, it's gone on the 12th.........!!
  11. Thom, I think I can correct the calendar for you. Are you saying your event is; January 22nd, 23rd and 24th? or... January 23rd and 24th (Sat & Sun only)
  12. A word of caution no matter what type of bike cover you choose to use... Take serious care when placing both antennas in the "DOWN" position or "UP" position. Sometimes, the antennas are not installed correctly and when you go to place them in the down (or up), position, the antenna will hit or rub against the areas to the left or right of the rear speaker housings and cause unsightly scratches in the paint.... I strongly suggest you place an old used wash cloth or rag on the antennas in the area where they may contact the speaker housing. I used a "bread wrapper tie" to help hold the wash cloths in place while antennas were in the down position. I only removed the wash cloth / rag after the antennas were both placed in the UP position, then I stored the wash cloths and tie wraps in my side bag..in a plastic zip lock bag for future use.. I used this same method even when I had to haul my RSV..I tied placed the antennas in the down position... just for my own piece of mind..you however may choose not to..
  13. FYI.... Ace Hardware also sells chrome hardware...The usually carry a good selection too.
  14. COOL BEANS Lewis..........I'm really happy you and Charlene can both share this joy. Our daughter just graduated last month from nursing school at Auburn U. She was hired two weeks later and makes more money than her sister or brother does.. a lot more.... Konnie and I are very proud of her too..

    Just in case

Bubber, Just so you don't feel all alone... Huntsville Al has snow right now and it's very cold. In fact, all the schools closed yesterday around 11am and they are all closed today. I moved south 30 years ago to get away from all that snow and cold and it appears it has followed me.. I, like you, HATE THE COLD and SNOW and ICE, and all that goes with it.
  16. Hey Bubber, Just checking in on your progress.. So how many of your listed tasks have you done so far?.......... I have done all of the tasks I listed......................
  17. You have a right to be proud..Very nice pics..and a handsome little booger too.

  19. Well, I rode about 70 miles on my GW Tuesday evening and it was around 27 degrees. (Thanks again Dennis for the heated jacket...) However today, I see this white stuff on the road and driveways and don't think I will ride her today..We have to go get our granddaughter from school because her school is closing at 11 am and will be closed tomorrow also.. I can still see the grass in the yard, but the schools are closing.. Unreal..I remember up north you couldn't get the schools to close even if there was a foot of snow on the ground..
  20. Wishing you well Condor. Hope the healing process takes minimal time for you....
  21. I think we all get angry when the road we are on isn't open to what WE want. I am guilty of being in a hurry only to get to where I wanted to go and have to wait.. We all tend to forget that all people don't think alike and have different plans at that moment.. Thanks for the reminder...
  22. Sorry, but my wife will not let me buy any beads.........so no use me going..
