  2. I think, if you learned how to ride it, and also got your license, then he should just GIVE you the trike and then go find one for himself.. Oh yea Pat, I bet he loves me now...........

    Garmin

Well my search indicates the price of the 665 is around $999.00 and the 1460's price is around $900, so if you want a waterproof model (Garmin 550) then it is in the same price range that you are already looking at..maybe even cheaper.. . The 5 inch screen on the 1460 is more appealing to me due to it being easier to read then a 4 inch screen. I use a plastic zip lock baggie and a potato chip bag spring clip to cover mine when it rains to make it water proof..and I am not the only one who does this am I Sleeperhawk.

  9. Oldgoat, For the life of me my friend, I can not see where you would be offended at my post. If what I posted offended you then there must have been other things already bothering you and you somehow read something out of text in my post. I attached two little men at the end of my paragraphs to show you and everyone else it was a joke. One man pointing and then kicking the other in the pants(), and the second one with his tongue sticking out, and thumbs in his ears..() Like others have already said, If I had an issue or was offended by anything I would have sent you a Private email letting you know..or I would have looked up your phone number and directly called you on it. I will never beg someone to stay on the site here. If you leave then you leave on your own accord. All I ask is that you please don't place the blame on me for something that you really took or misread. Stick around,, it will be ok. I was NOT offended by anything you said, and I am still not offended. Lets ride..............

  11. [quote=BoomerCPO;427225 Congrats my friend....You are the ONLY one here who has figured out that my calling the 1st Gens Maytags was actually a compliment!!! Sorry, but this is not true......for I, as many here on the site, new what you meant but just let it go knowing you would lead us to the pun......... For the record, I, as many here on the site, HAVE worked on many a 1st gen...and they my friend are no different then the 2nd gens..they both need tender loving care and a wrench once in a while like any bike, except for a GW... .......
  12. My 2 cents: I would wait until the weather breaks/ warms up and tackle the fluids my self to save the 130 bucks..in the mean time, read all you can on how to do it and what tools are necessary and once the weather breaks you only need to spend 1 hour max and your ready to ride..and you will have 120 bucks for gas.....
  13. Check here and see if maybe one of the comments can help you...... http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1059
  14. I would think you would need (4) of them if I am not mistaken. Your local "Lowes", "Home Depot" or "Ace Hardware", might have what your looking for..
  15. I feel your pain my friend.. My insurance Company still hasn't paid me one penny for the medical part of my accident that I had on March 26th of last year.. Oh, I did get a call last week that they are still waiting for some paperwork from one of my Doctors though...but they would not tell me the Doctors name that they are waiting on..
  16. Josh, It will be mailed out tomorrow (Fri) to the address you sent me.... Eck
  17. You can take a large gauze pad and spray WD-40 on it. Soak it fairly good, then apply the gauze pad over the decal and cover the gauze pad with a larger piece of surran wrap...Apply black or red electrical tape around the edges of the srran wrap to hold it in place. Let it set for about an hour or two and wa-la....the decal peels right off and the glue can be removed with ease.. However the heat gun would be quicker...but just the thought of a possible spark around the gas tank somewhat bothers me.. Also, if you can get a piece of fishing string under a corner of the decal you can pull the string in a "saw" like motion back and forth and saw the decal off. se WD 40 to remove the remaining glue.
  18. Work sucks.......... I wouldn't know... it's been so long...
