Here are some tech articles to help you on your GW.. Most of the files are in PDF and will require Adobe reader to view them. The other files are word documents. Have any questions, feel free to contact me by email or phone (phone listed in profile). Added: Changing rear tire on your GW. Note; I personally changed my rear tire as seen in this video. However, I added a couple safety factors that are not mentioned in the video. (1) Put bike in gear so it does not roll backward or forward. (2) use a plastic ty-wrap and wrap it around right handlebar and brake lever and pull tight to engage brakes to ensure bike does NOT move. (3) Make sure you remove the right foot peg so it does not damage side valve cover on engine. (4) Ok, turn up your sound and watch video (click on below link). Attached are directions (including some photos I found) on how to repair the right hand brake lever "brake & cruise switch" on your GW. I wrote detailed instructions on how I did mine (3 days ago), and now it works great..

Sorry for your loss Ken. I soon will be experiencing the same for my dad is on his last leg and has been for about three years now..Emphysema has eaten all but a very small portion of his lungs and he is suffocating daily.. Many songs out there bring back memories of my life experiences too. I guess that is why some touch me and some don't.. Hope you find comfort soon. Eck

Randy, You keep loosing weight and I wont even know you when I see you again.. Ya look good ol-man... When I went to Huntsville this weekend to meet up with Sleeperhawk and his bride, Blackjack was telling us that Randyr showed up a day early and went back home. The whole time he was telling the story I was thinking it was you and couldn't believe you came to Huntsville and didn't call me even if it was the wrong day. Then after taking a minute to listen to blackjack I realized it was not you.. Hope to see you soon my friend. Randy, are you going to M-Day / Freebirds?

that is what my fuel pump did when it died...had it replaced under warranty.. However, yours could be the ignition switch, or a multitude of other things. It is going to be very difficult to tell exactly what it was/ is with out playing a guessing game from here. You don't mention any type of diagnosis you did, or didn't do, when it was not starting for me (us) to help narrow it down for you. Questions like: Did you check to see if you had spark at any one of the plug wires when it wouldn't start? Did you have lights, radio, horn or any other electrical power when it wouldn't start? After riding a mile I would say you would NOT hear the fuel pump clicking since it was in full prime. I would recommend further testing to determine if it is your fuel pump...

Hope I don't get fired now....but I happen to have an 02 Goldwing.... But only because I wrecked my beautiful 05 RSV and I surely couldn't pass up the deal I got on this GW, side car body, spare rear wheel with brand new tire mounted and balanced, and a pull behind trailer package deal. As always, I will offer any help I can to any member or non member on their wing just as I would for anyone owning a Yamaha Venture.

We made it back to Iuka, Ms..(home away from home).. Got back at 5pm..made one stop at Dairy Queen and that was it. B2Mom and Dad had a great M&E and a great turn out. Met some new faces and now I have to try and remember who was who. We enjoyed it..... And Bill, (Snarley Bill), I promise you I will make it to one of your M&E's ..some how some way I will.

Had a good time last night sitting around at B2Da's and B2Mom's telling allkids of stories of my past. Never knew B2Dad ownwed a real service station bac in the early 70's and here I owned on in the late 70's.. Both of us were telling stories of customer who came in and the other customers you would never forget. Lots of old memories were poping up.. I really enjoyed talking with Carbon 1 also. He is really sharp when it comes to bikes and making things. Love his pull behind trailer too.. Veru nice... It's been a long time sicnce I have seen olo-Snarley Bill and Linda. Both look great and in good health. Had to show Bill how to work his GPS so he could get back to his motel from B2Dad's place. Would have hated to see him and linda get lost out in no mans land.. Out of all the bikes it appeared Monte's bike was the cleanest. Mine was trashed since we got caught in the rain 3 different times and rode for miles on wet roads..but guess what I have been doing this morning while my wife is sleeping.. There isnt a bug on mine now or a water drop... I cant clean the wheels since I dont have my jack, and I am not laying on the parking lot just to clean them, but other then that, she looks good again. Looks like B2Dad is going to have several people show up today. We should have a great turn out, so if you live close enough and want to have a really nice time, come on over and eat some of this BBQ that he ordered.. He will be eating BBQ for weeks if you dont.. Look forward to seeing everyone again.. ride safe to all who are leaving or on thier way...

Konnie and I are here in Dresden. We checked into the motel and we do not see anyone from VR.Org and the owner said they know nothing about a discount or any bikers coming in tonight or tomorrow.. We are in the one and only motel in town and it is the top of the line....Budget Inn. Konnie and I would love to join up with everyone for dinner. Where we meeting and what time? We even turned onto Watts Rd and then turned around at the barn on the left.. We didnt want to just drop in without calling and letting you know we were in town. I will call you right after we get back from the grocery store which is just down the street from where we are.

About 5 years ago at the Vogel I installed about 25 gas cap covers. They were silver dollar Concho coins. In other words, not real silver dollars, but you would never know if I hadn't told you. My bike was the first one I did, then Freebird's was the second one..I still have mine and it is now on my Goldwing covering up a knob that opens the glove box. Everyone who sees it always asks me why I have a silver dollar on my bike. Out of all the ones I installed on members bikes every one of them were showing the tail side of the coin The WINGS..My bike was the only one showing the head side.. In my profile, in my bike photos, there is one picture of my RSV that you can barely see the coin in.

We are heading out soon ourselves..I took today off to get an early start on the weekend fun we are so looking forward tooooooo. Wont be leaving here till 10am and heading towards Dresden. We will be staying at one of the local motels tonight, then all day at Mom & Dad's. Sure will be great to see you and Linda again Bill. Hope she is with you. Might be able to see you tonight and the all of us can go out for dinner...??
