    Badlands

Many thanks @cowpuc, I just added a note to go through the Badlands after 9pm...I already had it on our list of sights to see in April but I didn't know about seeing it at night.. Thanks!!
  4. Rmar, Glad you got rid of that PMS for a while.. Riding with the grandson will make many a good memory in his life. As for how to post pictures, click here for how to: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?92609-How-to-add-a-picture-to-a-post

  6. Official measurements from the National Weather Service forecast office in Huntsville indicated than less than a half-inch of snow (0.4 inches to be exact) fell at Huntsville International Airport on Friday. In Muscle Shoals, there was no measurable snow. The highest snow amount reported in north Alabama appears to have come from a trained weather spotter in Harvest, who reported to the weather service that 3.5 inches was measured about 10 miles northwest of Huntsville. On another note: This is our great grand-daughters first snow. She just turned 1 year old Jan 16th.

    Cell phone mount

Well believe it or not, I have read many posts on several Goldwing sites, where it appears to be a known, common, problem on Goldwing 1800's for the chrome side covers and the front speaker grills to blow off. Mine never have, but after reading so many articles of this happening, I decided to tether mine just in case that day comes, I wont loose them. No different than any other bike out there. Parts fall off every type of bike made if you ride them. If they sit in the garage all the time you don't have this problem...

@Freebird , When he stuck it on the brick in the video is what impressed me... and the wash and rinse to reuse it..Hey, it has to work I saw it on U-Tube!!!! I'm with you @bongobobny in the security of suction mounting on the bike.. I would tether it for that "just in case" application... In fact, I have the following items already tethered on my wing: My Garmin GPS is tethered to the suction mount, and the GPS suction mount has a "screw, locking washer and nut" holding it on to a plate I made. Both of my chrome side covers are tethered with small detachable springs. Both of the front speaker covers are tethered with fishing line.
  11. Anyone here ever use one of these? I just ordered two of them. One for the Avalanche and one for the wing.
  12. It's snowing here now in Huntsville, Alabama............appears to be slowing down a little. Was coming down in big flakes and now they are very small flakes.
  13. You may find several will say they will use it, now that winter is here and nothing to do. When riding season returns, I would think it would be used very little. I could be wrong though. Its not a necessity for me.
  14. $1.55 I paid yesterday in Decatur, Al.
  15. When I had my service station in Greenville PA., back in the 70's, I remember walking down the road carrying a sign that said: LAST CAR SERVED...I was only allowed to sell 3,000 gallons of gas a day and as I walked passed all the cars waiting in line to get gas, I would "guestimate" how many cars I could let in / up to the pumps. Once I put that sign on the back of a car all "H" would start with the next driver in line yelling and wanting to kick my butt because he sat in line for an hour already.. Rationing the gas was a pain in the Ash..

  17. It's "getting" colder and I don't want to work in my cold garage buddy. I have a heater for it, but I can only work on it for 15 - 20 minutes because my back is out. I don't want to heat the garage for only 20 minutes of work.. My back has been out since Konnie and I rode back home from Bryson City, NC. in Nov., of last year. Just had an MRI done yesterday at the hospital so wont know what's wrong with my back until next week some time.
  18. That's what I was looking for Don. Many thanks... I didn't know it could be sorted by city or state. That is exactly what I want to do make a copy and keep it on the bike! Again, many thanks sir!
  19. Went to the Dr's the other day. After checking me out he gave me a small container and told me to bring him a Stool Sample. So I did............
  20. Being that its getting colder down here in the south, and I have a project I want to complete, my wife agreed to this, since this bike has no engine or oil or grease to worry about! Pretty darn nice of her I have to say: So........let the wiring begin!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Heck, Im looking in baby steps Flyingfool.
  22. Understood, however how can I find someone who lives in say....., Nashville, TN. where I am on the side of the road? Is there a way I could easily find only those who live in the town of Nashville?
  23. I am trying to imagine here two things. (1) I am out on the road and I have either a flat or my bike breaks down or maybe even an accident. It would take me a LONG time (or a friend helping me) using a cell phone to pull up VR.Org and go through the VR family names and profiles of all, looking for someone in that area who can help me. (2) I'm not on the road, but just need a helping hand with tools and or maybe someone better technically that I am and could use some help. So this is what I am leaning towards (asking) in my thoughts: Is there a way where we could create a list containing only those members who are willing to offer their service to others, like changing / balancing tires and who would offer a trailer in case of a breakdown on the road, and technical help? It would be nice where members could "copy" this list & paste it say, on a word document, then print it out and keep it handy on our bikes at all times to help our selves or others riding with us. Now I know that we already have this info within the profile pages of many VR members, but what I'm asking is, if there is a way to "combine" all that info into a master list containing those Names, towns/ states they live in, the services they offer and a contact number. I imagine it would take manual updating and I am willing to offer that help in keeping it updated. Maybe there is an easy way to look up this information already and I am just plain ignorant on how to. If so, please someone ..school me.
  24. If you "DONT" have to return back Steamboat Springs each night, choose one of these and load into your GPS...enjoy! https://goo.gl/maps/47XPDjUm6uJ2 https://goo.gl/maps/xEUC8ZfXqw92 https://goo.gl/maps/kN6P2cj1DuA2
