  1. WOW.. man I am glad you or no one in your family was in the garage or hurt. What a bummer.... Hope all works out and insurance is available to pay for it all.
  2. Armrests are a very nice addition for comfort, (with the arm portions covered in sand paper) and don't forget to attach a cup holder for her (one that permits her drink to fall through on take off). She might also enjoy some adjustable foot boards for stretching out her legs. Just make sure they are mounted between YOUR butt and the rear crash bars. You can install a leather pouch on the back of YOUR (drivers) back rest so she has a place handy for all her personal junk, gum, lipstick, lip balm, and things of that nature that can melt in the sun.. You can add a cell phone charger to the side of the pouch on the back of the drivers back rest so she can plug in and charge her phone easily. Just dont connect it to your battery..this way she can't short anything out.. Now, on the inside of the lid of the same pouch, you can add a mirror so she can flip it up and do what all women seem to do. Some think it really helps whatever it is.. Behind the same pouch you may as well add a magazine rack so she has something to read during those boring city rides too... You can also attach a flexible 2 inch hose to either exhaust (your choice) and connect it to the rear side of her helmet..You will also need to install an on/off valve so she can blow dry her hair after being caught in the rain. Please note: It's best if you connect this hose near the rear of the muffler so she can "hear" the hair dryer working.. Now some guys prefer the method of utilizing their wife's "FULL FACE HELMET" for personal reason unknown to this writer......but they say it helps relax their wife so much they tend to fall "asleep" REAL FAST..... You can also install a 12 volt body massager inside her back rest (or in her seat........) to let her massage those tender places that tend to tighten up during those long rides. Now I'll let the others chime in on what THEY would recommend..
  3. Hope the punching is over guys... Lets all play nice and move on....it's going to be a LONG winter....
  4. Good luck Jay. Hope you heal quick.
  5. I have one and been using the BikeMP3 unit for about 9 months on my GW 1800. It has it's problems when used on the early model Goldwings (like mine)..2001-thru-2005 On the early model GW's, it is not compatible with the stock Honda radio. The radio causes it to lock up and you can not change channels. However, it will continue to play songs. Once I turn mine on, it plays great... I can change songs up to "maybe' 7 to 9 times, then it locks up and I can not change to another song manually, but all the songs play and will continue to play until you shut the bike off. The only way the BikeMP3 player will come back on is if you first, turn your radio on "before" you shut the bike off. If you turn your radio on before you shut the bike off, then once you start your bike you can then click on the MP3 player and it will work again, and manually change songs up to 7-9 times and then it locks up again. I know what to do on my bike to keep the MP3 player working all the time so I am use to it now.. The BikeMP3 player unit I have will hold 999 envelopes and each envelope will hold 999 songs. Oh yes...I too am waiting for an answer/ fix from PETE..... Pete is very WELL known on the GW site I am on too....
  6. Here is a link I saved a while back on my computer, that you GW owners may find very useful.. If you read this document from beginning to end, you will expand your personal knowledge of what your GW really has to offer and where it is located. Hope you find it helpful. 7. Freeway speeds I get between 38-45 depending on terrain and wind

  9. And here I am a GW owner, yet I'm always saying good things about the RSV. Shame on ya v7Goose......... Dang, now I feel like a HD owner and my bike is being put down and I wont be able to sleep for a week. For years I personally did not like the shape of the GW either, but now that I own one, I have become accustomed to the look and find it very appealing (to my eye), and after riding it for that first time of 50 miles or more, I found it very comfortable and handles a whole heck of a lot better then the RSV since the RSV is so top heavy and unstable when going slow. But hey. to each their own.. I just hope I can sleep tonight now....
  10. Your question is like asking: Which OIL is best for my bike...? so many opinions out there... Short answer is NO. If you can find an insurance company to give you a discount that would cover the cost...go for it... otherwise, I think the most telling thing about this topic is that AAA does not even mention them as a way of controlling animal/car collisions: http://www.aaafoundation.org/resources/index.cfm?button=autodeer
  11. Looks very nice.... clean...shinny too... Food for thought here: I would check the tightness of the Allen head bolts (4 places total, 2 bolts on each side), that attach the passenger hand rails since you tied the bike down to them..The Allen head bolts can easily bend from the exertion of the bike rocking back and forth (sideways) on the trailer when going around corners and hitting bumps in the road. If you have any questions on your new ride, feel free to email me or call me. (phone number is in my profile).

  13. You beat me to the Burp, but I beat you to the nap.. Heck, my wife is still napping since 2pm..and I'm hungry again...
  14. Congratulations to the BOTH of you for your endurance, patients, understanding, and yes those misunderstandings, for they all played a part in your success. Happy Thanksgiving to you too....
  15. Be thankful that you "don't" already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to? Be thankful when you "don't" know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn. Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow. Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement. Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character. Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons. Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you've made a difference. It's easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks. Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings. Be thankful for all your VR family members for they will help you in times of trouble.

    The "s" word

    "S" stands for ............SLING.......
  17. I could use the radio from your silverado...
  18. Hey Gary, Sure am happy to hear your doing OK and well on the road to recovery. Do what the Dr. says and you should be fine. I surely wouldn't over do it..and from a friend to a friend...I wouldn't push the subject of the bike needing wax... You just may end up back under the knife... having them removed....
  19. By the appearance of the light blue center piece (shown in picture #0607) of the steering wheel, it looks like the letters "GA". If so they stand for Gulfstream Aerospace. In photo 0615, the winglet that is standing up on the end of the wing was invented by Gulfstream, only to be copied by most all major airliners to date I was very fortunate to travel for 12 of 15 years for Gulfstream, and I flew on the Gulfstream G1, G2, G2b, G3 and several of the G4s. I have never flown on the G5. Gulfstream makes the number 1 jet in the world. Lear and Canadiar are both on Gulfstream's heals in technology.
  20. Check out this pull behind trailer... looks like a garage.. You need to page down to near bottom of page when it opens to see inside and outside photos.. http://www.goldbrand.info/why.html

  22. As much as I have heard about those 1st Gens, I would think you need to tie the trailer to the top of the bike...

  24. Sounds like your gonna need dual rotors on the rear of the Venture to stop it safely...
