  1. I have a pair of the Men's Milwaukee Boot #MB403 I was very lucky to find them at a MC boot fair for $40.00 Each boot has two zippers...one on each side of the boot, which makes it very easy to put them on....(especially when your out of shape like I am). Check out the MB433 style...sounds like that is what you are looking for.. or the MB408 or the MB416 Hope this link works, if not I will go back and try again.. http://www.thebootcorral.com/store/index.php?cPath=32_42&osCsid=ceaddc0c945fd8404661080c0fb32bde

  12. I put 67,000 plus miles on my 05 Venture and never did a valve adjustment on it. It always ran like a top, until the day I took it mud bogging in the medium strip..... If I still had that same bike, I still would not have adjusted the valves... I somewhat agree with all the reasons mentioned, (in above posts), as to why it should be done, but my own personal opinion differs...I have seen Ventures with well over 150k and they never had the valves adjusted.. Guess it all depends on how long you think you will keep the bike.... I figured after getting 100k -150k on mine, I would be looking for another one anyway..
  13. Need to flush that one twice...it's a long way to the kitchen..
  14. Tom, If you could, maybe you could make a video of the task and then post it.. I sure could use the info, cause I will be doing mine within the next three months or so. Eck

  17. In the main fuse panel, look for a fuse titled: "ACC TERM" There should be a 5 amp fuse in this spot. Check it with a meter to "ensure" it is not blown... This fuse is the fuse within the electric line from Alternator to your battery so that your Alt can charge your battery.
  18. If you own a GL-1500 built in 1996 to 2000 you have one of the Chinese alternators that people have been having problems with Also, if you have a 1988 to 1995 Wing, you may wish to think about replacing it with the high output charging system (check out Compufire alternators). OEM alternators on the GL1500's were always underpowered. Anyone who added additional lighting had to be careful not to overpower it. If you have extra lights or heated clothing you need more power that the OEM alternator can produce. Compufire is the popular replacement for the stock OEM. I have nothing to do with compufire sales, so it is up to you on what you want to replace your with. I am only suggesting what is recommended by others that have your model of GW 1500 Again, check the out put of the charging system before you replace or upgrade your alternator..

  22. Pressure will "EXPAND" the rubber seal .....thus.....seal the leak..that is what he is saying. When the rubber seal is in the "relaxed" (cold) state, then it will/could be causing the leak.
