  8. My battery went ka-poot last year in Iuka, Ms.. I went to Wal mart and picked up what is in it now and it works great. If I have any isues with it, there is a Wal mart in most any town to get it exchanged. Dont remember what it cost me though..60 or 70 bucks..but I had to add the acid & water. It is not the dry cell type.
  9. Hey folks, Just a thought here.. Some of you may have your old stock parts (that you replaced with aftermarket parts), and the stock parts are just sitting on a shelf out in the garage. If you dont need them, maybe you could donate them up for auction to help Dragon rider hit his $$ goal for St. Judes this year..

  16. Guys, My waist is 40.....these chaps were given to me a long time ago and I wore them religiously for a long time.. they are just now getting broke in...the chaps have an adjustable waste if I remember correctly in the center of the back along the belt line.. Zippers work great on each leg too.. My Waist is 40, and length 31..

  20. Black plastic Caliper cover issue. Get a flashlight and look down inside the rear caliper and see if you can see the very small locking pins located at each end of the outer brake pad. One or both of these pins is most likely turned and sticking in an upward position stopping the plastic cap from snapping in place. All you need to do is take a flat end screw driver, and turn (push) those locking pins in one direction (or the other) to where they are facing inward...now the plastic cap will snap on in place. Radiator/ cooling system does not have a bleed valve that I know of...
  21. Word of advice, Take a camera with you (like your cell phone) when taking your bike to the dealer for service or repairs. Take photos before you hand them the keys...this sends them a sound mesage When they say they are done do not accept your keys back until you go out and inspect your bike with someone from that establishment..if you see damage, take more photos.. no need to worry now....if there is damage in an area where there wasnt prior to you handing them the keys, they dont have a leg to stand on... Same as a Valet parking lot...always walk around your car with the Valet driver and take a few photos with your cell phone camera...this sends a message to the driver you mean buisness and that he better be darn careful with our car..If you pick up your car and drive off the Valet lot, they are not responsible for any repairs..
  22. I have never used B&H seat covers. Reading thier warrenty section however, it appears they only make vinyl covers. If you are thinking of getting the vinyl type cover, I would think you will still be challenged with a wet behind from sweating. leather (or vinyl) with no air flow between you and the seat = heat buildup which eventually you will begin to sweat and have that same moisture entrapment.. I bought cushion from wal mart ($20.00) that has many "air pouches" that cushions the bottom and then I placed a beaded seat cover over that. It works great since the beaded cover lets air flow through to keep my bottom dry, and the cushion is soft to sit on.. On long rides, (when I stop for gas) I have an option to 'swap around" the seating arrangement. Stock seat, air cushion on stock seat, beaded cover on stock seat, or beaded cover on cushion..this sure makes it easier to ride long distance..and it if begins to rain it is very simple to remove the cushion and place it in the trunk to keep it dry.. The wal mart cushion I am speaking of is in the auto department in the seat cover section.
  23. I couldn't agree more........... .....!
