  1. Lewis, Knowing you the way I do, you are more worried about making sure Vogel happens and is the big a hit you want it to be this year, more then you are concered about your own personal health issues. That is Lewis my friends. I wish I could take over entirely for you on setting up and running Vogel this year so that you would not have to worry about it at all my friend, but I just can't, since I just started this new job. Only been a Boeing employee again for two weeks.. I would like to ask everyone reading this that if you can help Lewis in any way by taking on ANY of the responsibilities that are required to get Vogel off the ground this year, I am certain Lewis would never ask for this help but he would appreciate all the help he can get. Give Lewis a call or send him an email if yuo can help with anything. Not sure what you can do, call or email him and ask him. I certainly would not want to hold this 4 to 5 day event with the problems Lewis is facing. Would you...? Lewis, I will be speaking to my boss in the next couple days to see if there is any way I can get off on that Friday,Sat and Sunday for Vogel weekend, to help you with what I can. If he does let me take off, I will be there Friday afternoon. I have no clue what I can do to help you Lewis, but if I can get that weekend off, I will contact you via phone or email in search of an assignment of your choice that you would want to off load to me. In the mean time I wish you the most of comfort and strength to address your personal health issues. Eck

  12. Tap retractor with a hammer.. not hard but hard enough to make it vibrate.. tap easily and every tap strengthen the tap little by little..while doing so, keep trying to pull (just a little) on the seat belt to disengage it.. not sure where your retrator is located... some are on the floor, some in the wall and some are in the ceiling of the vehicle..either way you may have to dis-assemble a panel to achieve visability and accessability to the retractor...
  13. Hey Monty, If you happen to meet up with Ruffy, could you do me a big favor and check out his bike for me.... i want to make sure he is keeping my inheritance in good shape...washed, waxed, maintained and all ...you know what I mean.. Don't let Ruffy know I asked you to do this though.. Heck, he might think I want that bike some day.... Oh and please check in on his wife too... he mentioned one time a while back that she goes with the bike, so make sure he is taking dang good care of her too and that she is good condition and able to go for long rides....ah...dont ask me how to verify this though....

  16. ONLY ..if you yank on them with "moderate" force.... Like I said, I have had them on two bikes for the past 5 years and never had a problem with them, because "I know" what to do with them.. They are ONLY used to steer the bike ..on the interstate...PERIOD....
  17. You wont find them in a package at your local bike shop...I made them. I am only furmilar with 2nd gen handle bar ends and or Goldwing 1800 handle bar ends to adapt these added grips. Note: If anyone plans to try to make a set as I did, you must remember that the grips can only be used on the interstate and must be in the folded (closed) position at all times when riding in city and or on back roads. Also, the bike can never be "muscelled" using the added grips. They are made of cheap pot metal and will snap right off" under moderate pressure. I have had mine now for about 5 years and they were mounted on my 05 Venture and are now mounted my G-wing. On a 2nd gen you will need (2) 26mm allen head bolts (2) Bicycle foam grips (2) drum set adjusters found at local music stores and some blue locktight.. Goldwing 1800s are a little bit more difficult and challenging.. Need someone who can spot weld...in (3) small places on each grip...
  18. The best mod I ever did was my "Eck-Stend-A-Grips" A lot of you newer members have not seen them but many of the others have. Dont know of another bike that has (4) hand grips where (2) of them are adjustable for those long interstate rides..
  19. Would have joined you guys but I had to work............
  20. Glad to hear everything went well for you my friend. Hope all turns out as expected.!
  21. If the rear master cylinder went out it will not build up pressure inside the line. 1) Check to see if master cylinder is full...if it is, then 2) Pump the rear brake peddle with your foot. Do you have a firm peddle? If not, and the brake peddle bottoms out, then you have brake fluid by-passing in the master cylinder. Check to see if rear master cylinder is full of fluid..No fluid.. 1) Then you must have a leak ..somewhere.. 2) Check rubber brake line along side right frame on bottom of bike. Is it wet anywhere? 3) Check brake line going to rear caliper..is it wet anywhere 4) Check rear caliper to see if it is wet / leaking. Remove saddle bag for visability. If there is no fluid, you have a leak.. If the brake fluid is by-passing in the rear master cylinder, then bleeding the rear brakes will not gain yuo anything....except wasting your time in HOPES something will unexpectingly work..but then again for how long and will they work in an emergency..? Do your brakes right and they my friend will pay you back the same respect. Do your brakes "half ....." and they will pay you back the same respect.. Your choice..
  22. Same thing I have and I love mine..
  23. Take the battery out of it and place BOTh in a zip lock plastic bag full of white rice.. Zip it shut and leave it for two days.. Should be fine.... just like my two cell phones..
