A lock only keeps an honest man honest....but I know my insurance would cover it due to it being chained and locked up when not in use.. So Sorry to hear this Jack...hope you find the dirt bag..

If you are as cheap as I am here is what I did.. I cut a small square piece of thin black foam anf wrapped it around the micraphone, then used a very small thin wire tie to hold it on the stem.. Turn the wire tie base after cutting off excess outward away from your face..Mine has worked for 4 years now..

I wish you the best of luck Jeff.!!! I know you know the difference, but my GW ticks too, but I found the ticking noise to be the fuel injectors. It sounds real "tin-ie".. Sorry your having such a time with yours though... The color was nice..ha

Heck, all of us are on this one... I just sent an email..

Don, At 4am this morning I read your post and right off the start I knew with out a doubt that your thread would be heading south real soon. So.. I sent the other Moderators an email stating: Another one to watch....wont be long.. Moderators share a thread so there other opinions involved in making the decision to leave the thread or delete it, watch it and or manage it.. I just now signed back on the site..(11:56am Charlston Sc. time) and I now see where your thread has been deleted by one of the moderators. I didnt delete it, and have no idea which Moderator deleted it at this time. Please keep in mind.. ANY thread that can lead others open to make comment(s) realted to politics will be deleted....period. This thread included, for it again will lead one to post thier feelings / thoughts on how the government should work (or is failing and not working) on the issuance of vouchers for food (in this case).. Often there are times an email is sent to the originating thread starter but this does not happen in all cases, so dont be alarmed if you do not recieve one. Many times it has been posted (and read) that political realted threads are not welcome and will be deleted. DO not feel hurt because your thread has been deleted. We hope you understand and not post anything that will lead down a path of political discussion. I (we) know this was not your intent.

83k miles on my GW and totally defect free.. Not one service call (knock knock knock on wood). Only one very small problem I ever had was the reverse switch stuck one time, and I took it apart and cleaned / fixed it and have never had that problem since. I do not feel the GW transmission was made to power shift, speed shift or abuse in any way (not saying you did Jeff), but I really feel the GW transmission was built to shift slowly and smoothly. Yes, I do agree the transmissions could use better engineering to eliminate the clunking though... I know I have rode with you side by side and in several group rides and I must say, you are kind of hard on a bike now, and more so then the average person is, but that is how YOU ride Heck, once you age a little more (get to my age), plus get that "need for speed" out of your system, then I would reccomend a GW. You just may have bought a lemon.. and I wish you a hassel free road getting yours replaced or your money back. I do have to mention that I have not heard from anyone else who owns a GW having the amount of problems you have though. Good luck Eck

Now you know why I want to go back to Huntsville...!!!!!!!!!!!! The position I applied and interviewd for this past Monday, is to be a QE on the build of the PAC3 http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=pac3+missile&qpvt=pac3+missile&FORM=IGRE HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- The Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missile (PAC3) is so popular with troops and allies that there is a large backorder and growing each day. Boeing (Huntsville), provides PAC-3 prime contractor Lockheed Martin with the seeker that targets incoming missiles or aircraft and guides it to "hit-to-kill" destruction. About 150 people are building the sophisticated seekers at Boeing's Jetplex plant PAC-3 is thriving and growing," because of the confidence soldiers have in the system. Everyone's looking over their shoulder, living next to people that have threats and have demonstrated their willingness to test and use them," Its not a safe place out there." There are many opportunities for more sales of the PAC-3, the latest generation interceptor missile. According to Boeing, the PAC-3 is deployed with Army and National Guard units both overseas and stateside, and has been purchased by Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates and Taiwan. The cost varies with quantities purchased and other factors but, roughly, a PAC-3 missile goes for just under $3 million, about a third of that is in the seeker.

I would have to remove the two white lid holding arms and stops and replace them with longer metal arms, or with a piece of thin light weight lid chain or just plain small rope, so you could open the lid so that it is leaning towards the back (open at 95 - 100 degree ang;le). With th elid all the way back (open) it would greatly improve the accessability to place items in or remove the items from the trailer..... The weight of the lid would be held in place (as a stop) with the extened metal arms, light weight chains or plain small diameter rope.

Ruffy, Your in for some bed rest and time off I see.. May as well get some DVD movies ready and make sure the TV in the Bdrm is where you want it, for the brdrm and bath rooms are the two rooms you will see the most for a few days.. Get those batteries repalced in the remote too..ha When my wife had both of her knees totally replaced (at the same time), I got her one of those toilet adapter / extentions that fits over the toilet. It raises the seating height so she did not have to "over extend / bend her knees near as much when reaching or leaving the final sitting position. You can buy them at just about any drug store. I highly reccomend you getting one..it sure made it a whole lot easier for her and a lot less painfull. You can later use it out in the garden........(kidding)... I put ours in the attic in case I ever need my knees replaced,,. I also got her a plastic seat / bench with adjustable legs (for height) where she could sit in the shower and not have to stand or turn in circles in the shower. I didnt want her to twist her knees in the shower.. Then I replaced the shower head with a flexable hose type shower head so she could just move the spray over her by hand. I has an old TV tray table next to her bed for when she wanted to just sit on the edge of the bed and eat, or use her lap top. Just a few thoughts I had and wanted to share in case they may be of help to yo umy friend. I wish you guided well, a fast reovery and nothing but great results. And thanks for getting that WILL updated for me on that bike.. I still havent recieved a copy in the mail, ....but I know.. it;s in the mail....
