Hi Larry, The place is Coach Guard and all they do is paint protection and make banners They do a lot of dirt and racing bikes with the protection. He had a couple Harley fenders in there doing them when I was there. I'll let you know how they turn out. Also thanks for the lift adapter it worked great. The Trike was really stable on it once I found the center point on it. Only problem I had was with the floorboards on it I couldn't get my HF lift in far enough to catch the far rail on the adapter. I ended up welding 2.5 inch square tubing on the lift rails that were 2.5 inches longer so I could reach the other side of the adapter. Worked great after that. John

Thanks everyone. I guess I will find out how I like it next week. It is removable but not easy to take off the dealer said. I am having them put it on top of the running board also so I don't scratch the running board when I use the pegs or when wife steps on.

Just triked the 07 RSV. Has anyone used the 3M Paint Protection Film to guard against chips or scratches. I have mine scheduled to go in next week to get it done but am wondering if anyone has any experience with how it looks or lasts. I know it has a UV protector in it so the paint won't fade underneath it but is there anything else I should know. Coach Guard is installing it for $215.00. Vern, When I bought my 07 I had to take it back 3 times before they got it fixed. The first time they just put dielectric grease in the conectors. The second time they replaced the head control on the handlebars and the third time they replaced both the head control and the main box under the fairing. It's been working perfect ever since. Take it back to the dealer, they may not like having to work on it but they have no choice. It' too bad they are such an ass to work with. Good luck:thumbsup2:

I did have them rebuild a seat for my V-Star but not the chip seat. It was as good as they said it would be and I did get to try it for a week before I sent the old seat back. They were great to work with IMO. John -
In 98 I had a hunting accident. Broke my back in two places, split my pelvis in two, broke two ribs and my arm. Spent 4 weeks in the hospital, 8 weeks home recovery, 7 month in therapy. During that time if I needed to go to the store I had to use the motorized carts that the stores provided. I was amazed at the number of people who made comments (loud enough for me to hear) about me being in that machine and if I can't walk I should stay home. That certainly changed my outlook on the disabled, it made me realize a disability can be for any reason not just something visable and not something permanent. I too live with a lot of pain because of the accident. Uncle Arthur has moved into alot of my broken areas and It makes it hard to bend and hard to sit for more than a couple hours at a time. The only time I really don't notice the discomfort is on my bike, 6 min or 6 hours makes no difference. Sometimes when I feel bad all it takes is a short ride and I usually feel better. I can't explain it, maybe it's the vibration, who knows but it sounds like it works for a few of us. Great post, it should be required reading for everyone. John

Not sure yet! I've never used synthetic in any vehicle i've owned be it 2 or 4 wheels. There's so many different opinions out there I might try both to see if theres much difference in shift or whine. Is there any problems going from one to the other. Gladly take suggestions on whitch one to try first. Probably try Rotella 15w40 dino and 10w40 syn. John

Sorry to start this again but found out my dealer has been using Spectro 10w40 for oil changes. So far I haven't had a problem with it and there's very little whine. Anyone else use it. I would like some thoughts or concerns with the oil since I can't find much info on the web about it. I'm thinking of changing to Rotella 15w40 and doing the changes myself. Thanks in advance John

According to the Weather Channel for Elkhart ( about 35 miles South ) average temps for Oct. 1st highs and lows are 70 and 48 and Oct 31st high and lows are 57 and 38. Enjoy your ride.

Christo, I mounted a small flexible led bar under my trunl lock. It's just over 1/4 in wide and high and is running/brake and turns all in a 11'' bar. You can have them custom made any length and configuration you want. Radiantz makes them, not cheap though. John

CG, I have a 07 RSV that had the same problem. I took mine back 3 times to get it fixed. First time they put Di-elec. Grease in the connectors. Next they replaced the head unit on the bars, finally they replaced both the head unit and the main unit under front fairing. Dealer said they tried mix matching all the parts and found the problem was in the plug between the head unit and main unit. Has worked perfect since first of July when I finally got it back. I did find out they don't replace those parts with new parts, both boxes for both parts said Remanufactured on them. Thank goodness for 5 yr warranty. Take it in and let them fix it. Stu Cool pics, I like the red Venture. Lights came from www.radiantz.com, Wanted something I could mount on trunk that was fairly small. These are only .325x.325'' or about the size of a pencil and are flexible. They are a custom light made to your specs. Mine is 11'' long with 8'' in the center as running/brake and 1 1/2'' on each end as turns. There are 85 small leds in 11'' and only draw .47 amps. Only thing is there kinda pricey. John

Mark I see you have an 07, I've had the same problems your having. Had my 07 in twice to fix radio. It's now at the dealer again. 3 times is too much I made them order a new one from Clarion, I should have it back by this Thurs. Dealer said it was a warranty issue with Clairon and not Yamaha so it had to be handled with them. I would take it back and let them fix it untill the warranty runs out. John

Try Rocky Hunting Boots. They have different insulating levels, are waterproof and are very comfortable for wearing all day long. Not cheap but in the $ 150.00 price range. John
