  1. Good to hear he still kicking. Thanks for update. He loves them grandbabies. I just hope ole pucster don't drink from straws. Was starting to think he got locked up for contraband.[emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my LG-M255 using Tapatalk
  2. My brother in Law Robbie still has Laguna I believe, that is one cool car seats swivel, so when you launched it thru the drainage ditch did you spin like on a tilt a whirl? Ha just kidding but I love that car too pretty damned cool I believe its white on white with red stripes. 3000 watts of stereo at least it used to anyways.
  3. I haven't swapped the diaphragms I know you can do it tho just got to be done very carefully. I had cracked slides and just ordered 3 carb sets off of ebay
  4. I have several Carb slide, as to condition and such not 100% but I will check them I know 2 need diaphragms
  5. I would suggest getting some electronics cleaner and going thru all your plugs and clean them up good. My CMS acts goofy at times I just been too lazy to go back thru it its about the only thing that give me any trouble as of late.. other then it was too quiet so I got a drill out.
  6. What part of Arkansas? Eureka Springs by chance, very beautiful road there. My bike when it was crazy warm it has the clutch Whine too. It is always there but mine comes across more in the First and Second Gear
  7. This could be good for me... Lol I have an addiction too
  8. Lol A good reason to go chase some taco's in Tulsa LOL. We don't have a Jack in the Box here in Joplin. Too bad you aren't a bit closer I can't guarentee how much help I could be other then telling you what color you have in that cylinder but it could be an option... depending how next month looks. Or what the old lady wants to do. Umm Where is the crickets playing there little feet and a very very confused look lol... So fogging is where I take trani fluid and dump it into a cylinder trying to free it up...
  9. What state are you in? I bought Morgan carbtune carb sync and colortune plug. It would be interesting to see inside that cylinder. Sent from my LG-M255 using Tapatalk
  10. Well there is a guy who sells the engine rebuild and the carb rebuilds CD and he tells you in that video to replace the idle jets you. His reason is pretty simple he cleaned carbs previously and thought he had the jets good but they still gave him hell so best to just do it once. I am sure someone has the info about the cds I have them somewhere but don't remember what thread it was in.. we are trying to help you knock out the possiblities and also have you got your mixture screws out? Or do they still have the stupid caps over them. I am not too certain on the newer Ventures but I would imagine you still can gain access to those by drilling out the cap.
  11. Your name Danny by chance... LOL bet you got a huge ass garage..
  12. I have been searching High and Low for my favorite car from my past was a 1979 Pontiac Grand Prix SSJ it was a beaut and she would cruise smoothly at 80+. I had to really watch the speedometer on her, she had a dent just behind drivers side door jam when I bought her and I played heck trying to get it pulled out. She developed a shim when going down the road I was told internal vaccuum leak and it would cost more to fix her then what she was worth... BOY Were they wrong it turned out to be a very very Rare breed of the Grand Prix. I have been aimlessly searching for her since. Probably can't afford her anyway if someone knew what they had. http://oldcarbrochures.org/index.php/NA/Pontiac/1979_Pontiac/1979-Pontiac-Grand-Prix-SSJ-Folder/1979-Pontiac-Grand-Prix-SSJ-Folder-01
  13. What is fogging? Sent from my LG-M255 using Tapatalk
  14. Sounds kinda like blocked passages did you rebuild the carbs ? If so do you replace the idle jets? How did you clean the carb body? But there is air getting in there somewhere. Sent from my LG-M255 using Tapatalk
  15. 3000rpm and above Sent from my LG-M255 using Tapatalk
  16. How does she run off idle? Sent from my LG-M255 using Tapatalk
  17. Sounds like my bike when I first got her she was all stock and very lean setup. The enricher is the choke. Sent from my LG-M255 using Tapatalk
  18. But since you do have exhaust leak I would fix that too. But as he said your fuel issue too. Another crazy thing too could be a short in safety features that causes an intermittent kill. Like you drive your vehicle down the road and turn the key off with the engine still turning and turning it back on to create a backfire. I used to do that with my 76 ford pu I was young and dumb. But it is funny when it sounds like a big gun shooting. I wouldn't do that stuff now days tho. Sent from my LG-M255 using Tapatalk
  19. It actually can be a number of things. Ignition timing, fuel and exhaust. Sent from my LG-M255 using Tapatalk
  20. What I had thought exactly. Worth a try to get that area fixed. Can you get a picture of this crome cover your talking about? My gaskets didn't seem that bad either when I replaced them but there is no more back fire. Sent from my LG-M255 using Tapatalk
  21. I think it was a very serious question, when I lose something sometimes I take days looking for it, very seldom do I find it then. Trust me when your not looking for it you will probably find it, Right where you Lost IT!!:rotf:
  22. you lost me, if you got back fire on 4 how is 2?
  23. I chased a backfire on tinker, Rbig1 and Yammer kept telling me it was exhaust if it was on decel, but sometimes it did it on idle too... I replaced the exhaust gaskets and it went away, anything extra close to the engine will creat a back fire I went thru my carbs and finally went with what i was being told and it indeed fixed my problem..
  24. They show up on mine Sent from my LG-M255 using Tapatalk
