  3. Now since we are talking about bags and pouches, I have seen a few bags or pouches mounted on the right and left fairing on the first gens, I kind of like those is it still possible to get those, would come in handy I would think. Now if I could figure out how to switch playlist without using my hands would be cool.

  6. Well I have renters Insurance, Auto Insurance, and Motorcycle Insurance thru State Farm all of them combined is $2,200 a year, I miss the $68 a month for full coverage on everything didn't have renters insurance at the time. But I believe they said thats like 15 a month for $25,000 in coverage. I could be wrong on that, I just know its good to have it specially as crazy as things have gotten around my area lately.
  7. 55 your at about 3300 rpms if I remember correctly.... I could be off. I usually see about 4000 grand before I shift to 5th...
  8. funny thing I ordered some of those earlier today, so I figured I would get the other screws I needed and an airbox intake tube for the honda. So yeah just little odds and ends the shipping tho, was almost as much as I paid for the screws, spring washers, and special shape screws. Put on another 100 miles today...
  9. You and me both on non windy days here that is real easy to do, most the time till about mid July it is windy as heck... which from right now till then is Peak Tornado season due to all the winds getting all jumbled up and blowing up, blowing the caps of the supercells. yep it gets crazy around here..
  10. Ummm you should see what else you might need and order them from partzilla or something, because even on the Yamahapartshouse.com they arent even close to 7 bux a piece....
  11. Just buy yourself a pouch to store all your ram gadgets...
  12. Wait, so your telling me I need to slow down in order to get good gas mileage? I always find myself creeping up to 70+, I only put into 5th when I hit about 65. I have only seen about 34mpg on a nice calm day, I guess I will try it at 55mph next time but I bet I can't drive 55:guitarist 2:
  13. I have got a bad boy on mine, and I have had the horn off my first gen apart never did see anything where you could adjust it...
  14. Like someone said you can get alot of different mounts, lengths, cupholders, gps mounts, even a flex pole, the possibilities with these are endless it seems, even can get gopro mounts.
  15. I got a RAM mount two weeks ago and I love it... It opens up pretty wide and I have been on some pretty bumpy roads recently and does not seem to phase it any.. it also comes with a safety band to secure what is ever in the mount. Really nice ran me I think $50-$60.
  16. Hey Brenda do you have an ace hardware store in your area, the guys at mine are real helpful in helping me look for the bolts I need. And that is all crazy one of those fuses is a spare fuse also. Living life one curve after the other. Vroom scooting, thru the countryside.
  17. Hell the Tahoe is the first vehicle that I have owned that hold 6 quarts at oil change now if the engine was completely bone dry I think is more like 10 I believe all the rest of my vehicles I have had only take a gallon after an oil change.... I was thinking a Goldwing but I don't think they could hold 6 quarts either. I am pretty sure he was talking about a specific bike but it wasn't Goldwing. I almost want to say Victory but not 100% certain.
  18. Might be a pretty penny but I have seen one when I was up in Joplin guy stopped at a stoplight and these wheels came out and held the bike up and when he took off they went back up.... Looked like a Wing but not sure my eyes aren't that great. Could have been a BMW I seen one of those at Walmart and talked to the guy after I watched him stop and the rear lift up, Hydrallic center stand so I teasingly asked does it have reverse too:doh: It sure does lol. Nice looking Bike He told me it was made for an old man so then I asked if it had wheels to that would come down he said no but he had seen those also.
  19. I really wasn't meaning to ... Anyways with the way sounds carry maybe old joe was half deaf...... I knew a guy like that who was half deaf and could centralize a sound, he is gone now but he was a good mechanic. He had built alot of screaming cars back in the day before people worried about hearing protection probably contributed to him being in tune with cars. But back to the TOPIC when you picking up the bike?
  20. Why not get a tri-wing? I will admit don't much care for the looks of the Honda's but My friend Barb and her husband have got a gold wing trike its pretty sharp. I like the fact the passenger has actual arm rest and cubby and cupholder. Not sure if it has heated seats but I think its nice looking as a trike...
  21. Well alot of forums that I ran across trying to find the answer is most used 4 quarts of t4 and 2 quarts of t6 now there was another said he ran half and half in his Vmax... but some bike runs 6 qts that is alot of oil....

  25. Eureka springs? Where dat at... I want to go to hot springs.. Might do my back and knees good going there and sitting in them. But hey they bring that I would probably be able to make that. If I had a wing I would put the venture front on it.... Living life one curve after the other. Vroom scooting, thru the countryside.
