Sounds like I need to make trip to Iowa, I wished I still had some of my family up there, After cousin Cindy Died and Aunt May died haven't really made it up that way. But If I go to Iowa without my mom she would skin me alive because its been a long time since she seen her Cousin Barb, they both want to see each other its been awhile and neither have much time to procrastinate. Its been a long time period as far as being up there last time we was there was the 98 reunion. Last few years the person doing the reunions thinks everyone can afford the Ritze grand plaza. The Snyper Comes from the fact that I was a young lad suckered into going into the woods to go snype hunting. Took Gunny sack out there and waited and waited. Finally got a snype.. *GUINEA* . Possibly but I would pull it out first and try to clean it up, My sons Rebel did the same thing until I pulled it out took it apart and cleaned it up and put it back together.

O yeah I was trying to remember how and why the wire tie ended up on my speedo cable, I forgot what the wiretie was for running under the plug and forgot to put a new on there, Guess I will do that since its raining. THE SPEEDO Cable idea has saved some headache a few times.

You sure your Wal-mart Has Any filters for bikes, The walmart here told me they no longer carry motorcycle stuff.... That is why they only stock the one brand of motorcycle oil. Just FYI... Unless there is an ATV out there that takes the same cartridge. I got my filter from Oreily.

I would be interested to see what exactly this bike is doing.... I see your in Oklahoma Never heard of Castle tho but googled it and looks like fun roads... I am wondering if maybe some Jets got mixed up... I don't know if that would affect anything or not but I do know there is 3 screws that look identical but have different sized holes and one is pretty good sized.. and the other two appear almost alike but one is just a bit bigger. That might do that... Just a thought.

Your Cms needs sodered go to the forumn and look for first gen technical library read only you will find all the info there about our bikes. Mine had same exact issues when I bought it. Mine is also an 83 but it is just a standard..

You should look on the outside walls of your tires, there will be an oval with date code. IE (0914) the first two is the week and the last two digits are the year. So 9 weeks would be roughly march of 2014...
