Well 3 month update, I still have not smoked.... ok as far as the TCI box from regulatorrectifier.com It is now underneath my glove box or beside it on the inner fairing been running with it there for quite sometime. As of right now my drive way has caused my exaust to leak where it goes into the collector on the back side, so got a lovely popping noise going on. For the most part I think for someone just needing a plug and play box this would be the best way to go, unless they were upgrading to COPS and such. I am happy with it now to just put in my spare set of carbs that will be my next project but right now I have just been too busy trying to find a place to move, CTFWing I am right at 1,200 miles on the Kenda Kruz and they are doing me wonders to. Of course I have chicken strips on them because there really isn't much for good curves where I ride but I have laid over on Tinker a few times going into some turns and very few curves, I am impressed by the way they feel. I do think I did hear a slight hum last night at around 75-80 but I am gonna attribute that to the Tread on the tires still. Also found out today in the truck where I was experiencing the weeve I was having some fun in the Tahoe with that same issue trying to hold it in my lane without moving the wheel to keep it straight.... just glad I don't have a donut or else I would have had some real fun. Well I guess I will dig this up in another 6 months but I am going to assume this box is still gonna be performing up to par. On side note I am real glad I had the led in my bike the other night seen 4 deer in seperate spots along side the road and one took that leap, if I had not had them lights I would have had a deer in my lap or been bikejacked by a deer.....

A piece of tire like bicycle tire or something seems to help a lot getting things to tighten Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk -

What got me on his bike is you could smell gas on the plug it had some black on it. But when we put the colortune plug in it only showed white spark when we would rev it you would see flash of orange. Would have helped if my multimeter wasn't hiding in plain site... Doh!!! Could have checked his TCI like planned. Of course that's the way it goes when your not looking for something it is right there...... Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk

45 minutes was long enuff IMHO That you would notice the heat. My venture I notice within a 25 minute ride and when I get to stoplight. My side fairings have an opening so I feel the engine heat. Altho its not that bad but I would say you should be able to tell within 45 minute what the heat will be like. Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk

Still don't but have my suspicions... Today I chased the front wheel on tinker, chased the front wheel on PJ, took kids to the YMCA. All around good day today hopefully they continue got mcompton coming here tomorrow so we can do some diagnostics on his beautiful blue 87? I just pray whatever it was never comes back. It was pure terror then ER doc telling me to continue on meds that I thought may have caused my problem. Mom asked ER doc at mercy for print up on my medication ended up with 256 pages and at least 50 pages with studies of side effects. Some of which I was experiencing. But as I said for now I will not count my chickens just yet till I know for 100% sure. I have been going back and forth so we will see... Hopefully the one pulls thru and maybe tomorrow I can get caught up on what's new tab.. And @cowpuc I'm sending prayers back your way for good health and 🌞 and 🌈... Have fun with that Kenda I really like my Kenda Kruz.. Love the tread on them. Prayers out to those effected and for the guy that got the worse of it. Hopefully he heals. snyper316 replied to Grez007's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I have one of these I will say very good, and got her very fast I believe at most got here in 2 days... just remember it was crazy fast. -
I don't know where you live but September is usually the hottest month around here. So I'm sure anybody going for a ride on one then should be able to tell if its gonna do well with heat. Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk

Hey I did CTFW on that rebel its a fun little bike but. It feels cramped to me so, I was looking at getting different bike so I sold the rebel. That thing would get around 60 mpg I do believe. I prolly put about 200 miles on it total my friend was riding it last summer and fell in love with it. I couldn't get past the crampiness of it. Of course I am 280 and 5'7" tall so I looked a little funny Chasing The Front Wheel on him. But I tell you with me on there on wot I was getting about 75 which they claim 70mph top speed I thought. PS I could get past the crampiness on the new Rebel. So wait the Rebel just turned the beginner cruise market on its head? Water cooled Rebel!!!! WTH Yamaha? Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk

All honesty look for an 85 after a certain VIN number and the second gear was fixed. But you should be going for 86-93 and cpt for class I think the other issues were fixed. Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk

For some reason I have heard mk1 are faster evidently the 1300 was nerfed. But I like my 83. Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk

No 83-85 are the mk1 and the baddest bikes ever made.... Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk

Ok I am done sitting back, that screw is screwed. That is the Carb drain screw all it does is drain the carb bowl when you loosen it. Only thing I can suggest is once you get the carbs off and split them. Work at that screw with an extraction bit, I dont know why that screw would be that stripped out other then the person maybe didn't know they could just replace the oring on it and clean the tip to keep it from leaking. I am sure ol @cowpuc will agree with me on this one.

Well where should I start..... First two weeks ago. I started feeling odd. Landlord came and got his rent Friday. Then the unveil happened I was shocked in a way. Then Tuesday I had some kind of attack that I gave in and went to the ER get done there they tell me its a panic attack. Come home to landlord approaching me for some reason he then informs me he is selling these houses and got 30 days. Come inside still out of it go to sit down and all the sudden feel like I was lit on fire... So couple days later I still feel funky mom needs taken to the ER. So take her she ends up getting admitted to hospital so Thursday I go to the Urgacare across from the hospital after checking on mom.. They check me out put on paper seen for heartburn..... So then later that day I take the bloodwork to my Dr and tell him what's going on he tells me same thing ER does. Thing is yeah I have sick to my stomach feeling but never nothing like this.. 4 months not smoking maybe it was severe withdrawal but I can't really buy that either. So today I decided to take tinker out to stretch her legs and cruise for about 60 miles but still kinda have a feeling of I haven't slept in a day or so.. You prolly know the kinda floaty feeling.. Needless to say it been nice all week perfect motorcyclin weather and only been out this morning and she took me to the Dr Thursday. Mom came home yesterday I think they sent her home to early to be honest. Hopefully tomorrow I wake up feeling normal.... Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk

Yeah I knew a guy his timing belt snapped and messed up his hole motor somehow. My belt was right there I believe I only had to move one thing to replace it. Yup a 4 banger 4 speed loved that car... Was headed to work one day and all the sudden lost power. Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk -

Soo basically just like timing belts.. But imagine built better. Think my 74 mustang that was supposed to be replaced in wanting to say every 50,000 miles I could be off... Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk -

So the belt wont slip like a SOG? I like to goose it as hard as I can, I figured I would be smelling at least alot of burnt threads and rubber... -

Speaking of passing power I was on the on-ramp behind some slow poke okay they weren't really slow they were driving a camper pulling a trailer but I didn't want to hang behind him anymore getting on the interstate and I just lit Tinker up and she shot up to 90 out of nowhere and when I was behind that guy we were doing 25-30. I only have one question can that be done with a belt drive? Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk -
