What exactly did I just view. I know it is midnight, I know I am on ventureriders.org but I thought it was pg rated.... I think I will go back to my corner now. Use some Eyewash on my eyes and hope I don't go blind. The things you see on the Internet are unbelieveable I tell ya..... -

I need to get my kids out and show them what real living is like without there stupid Electronic Gadgets, I so miss camping where I could find a spot by the creek..

Can't this be Bypassed on motorcycles in General? Or are they too technical these days to do such a feat?

Rear Tire Safe or not.
snyper316 replied to s.tyler58's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Again I would not attempt it.... should have specified not for even the last 2 miles of the tires life. I had slice in my tire on the Motorized bicycle and didn't see it till I tried to air up the tube and seen a big bubble out the sidewall. Don't know how it got there but I realize that is like apples to oranges thinner tire then our bikes but I am even suprised he got his bike home on that. It had to been rough riding even with our smooth ventures that ride like Mercury Grand Marquis his had to have felt more like a Cadilac... -

Um I would not even attempt that fate with a tubed tire on a Rebel..... I had bad habit of locking up shorties back tire.... you could just imagine what that would have been like with that shape of a tire.... -
2018 Star Venture Owners Manual

@cowpuc gets lost just chasing his wheel out the driveway too..... but someone like him would have heck of time trying to keep treads on. My ol lady would not be able to get on this bike with me then. I alone weigh 270..... we would be about 50lbs over that limit and with nothing in bags and better get the tools out too..... -
here is the video

You and yeah I just seen that. @Yammer Dan

I have had same problem with battery on the Rebel before going with the AGM battery.

I just recently watched a video where the guy compares seafoam and Marvel Mystery Oil... I am thinking maybe about going back to @yammerdan Advice

Gave in to Tinker she just looking so sad under that tree on the street. Took her to Neosho and back 100 degree heat and I never noticed any engine heat, not like I used to last year it would scald your legs, Only bad thing the heat index today was 115 degrees. So every stop I had to make I started sweating like a piggy..
-
They better start sneaking $100 Bills to get a better review, with no mention of heat. I appreciate how honest the article is. It reminded me of the Newspaper in Neosho. I couldn't help but notice the comment of Cooled seats.... and no need for heated seats with the engine throwing heat at stops and on the ride.... which none of us is suprised I am sure. I have got stuck behind a few Harleys the last few days with heat indexes in the triple digits and there was this really bad one, I did better On my 150cc scooter this guy was lucky to get to the top of hills at 45mph and maybe get up to 55mph I was so glad to get off the Two lane road and hit the interstate. I don't know if this had anything to do with engine running to hot but I know the sound of a Harley.....

the other problem with our gas guages is the fact the sending unit is warped so you have to fix the blade the rubs on the resistor in the gas tank. I Did mine it worked just fine but now its on a shelf because I bought a new one on Ebay because well it was available and I had the money to get it... -

snyper316 replied to Kretz's topic in Watering Hole
I have to wonder about this and will watch the mileage now on the bike because yesterday I put in the cheap 1.87 gas in Tinker because well now I have to take 50 mile trips 2wice a day I figured gas wont sit long enuff, the last time I put 87 octane in I got 40 miles to gallon so I will see, I have been keeping my RPMs at 3500-4200 just well because I can and just have to watch speedo more carefully because my wrist has a twitching problem... -

Additional Driving Light...
snyper316 replied to s.tyler58's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I am going to add one thing here no matter what kind of driving lights you go with, If you go with LED lighting you may want to consider changing out your headlight because it will look light you lit one of them old time latern head lamps on a Horse and Carriage. IMHO -

Well now we bringing up tire gauges being you have the standard venture with the air shrouds you may want to go get a tire pump from walmart the small pipe looking one with built in gauge I believe that will work with airing up our shocks, I got foot pump that I toss in there but I would rather have the smaller of the two.
