  1. Cowpuc what in the world chicken strips are real chicken if you pull the breast that tender juicy chicken underneath is what chicken tenders aka chicken strips are made from. I am not referring to any odlt shaped chicken... But I agree I love lefs, thighs and wings Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk

  3. I would pull a plug and bump the starter with plug attached to see if you see lightening Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk
  4. Hey Bob got one for you... My 3rd gen had a wobble at 15mph to top speed of 25mph what do you think it was caused by? Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk

  6. I know it seems a PITA, But would you rather have a bike you can run 5 tanks thru or do you want a bike that you might drive 5 miles? These bikes need the time and care to bring them back from the dead. Now also it is very hard to find anyone to work on bikes as old as ours, most won't touch it over 15 yrs old. When you find ones that do got to know there 1000s of bikes on the road that are more then 15 yrs old... Hopefully next weekend.
  7. Prayers for your upcoming surgery and may they mend you for another 80 anniversaries!
  8. I tinkered all day putting in new spark plugs as the carbs I have rebuilt seemed to be working great thanks to the video. 35-39 miles to gallon average.... Very pleased with myself now to tear into the set of carbs I took off more specifically number 2 carb. I am thinking either idle jet came loose somehow or mixed up jet screw somewhere. If it turns out to be flaw with carb body I have a spare. Also went to empty parking lot and pulled off some real tight turns and found out real quick how tight I can turn I can turn around within two parking spots!! Two lane road etc. But it is a lot of feather g and using back brake. My brakes are still linked and did just fine Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah all good plans, I really really really miss my home care job now. The latter of your topic here not so much, but glad I got to be for my dear friend June when the cancer took her. All we could do is make her as confortable as possible, I remember the last thing she said to me. Cut me to the core, I am scared. I looked at her she said not of dieing but what might happen to Kevin. Wanted me to keep an eye on him, now that is where I feel bad.... He is in the pen for the rest of his life... that woman was really his ball and chain... I am glad the poster got thru and worked thru the kinks as it is a hard decision no matter how you slice it whether it be brother, sister, aunt, uncle, mom or dad; For that matter your kids is when you have to give in and get the help they need. But I have also seen Senior go postal myself. They may look small or frail but you don't want to be on there bad side...
  10. Damn man you hit the Nail on the head there, specially with glasses. Got to remember he is a male after all and noone wants to admit they did not see something. Just easier to say they blacked out, not saying he isn't but its hard for men to stop and ask for directions and admit when they are lost no matter what our age is!! I like my dad would drive aimlessly hoping to find a road that I knew. After hours if I hadn't found it I would then ask....
  11. Little black box that causes the fuel pump to kick on. It in many different places on many different vehicles, Tinker has hers behind windsheild think its 2nd from the left if facing the front of the bike. Um I am thinking you may be able to get one new still but I got a used one in my saddlebag, just in case to rule out if fuel pump ever stops. I think I have even seen blue and green boxes. So what is the question.... or what about the relay,
  12. I have done the in home health care thing, It was one of my better jobs and I miss it tremondously. I know the company I worked for not only did you have a nurse come check on the person but they got an In home health aid which would pretty much be the maid, butler, someone to chat with, and someone that just helped in general. I did get discouraged at one time, my client loved his wrestling. Old time wrestling from the 80's. Needless to say I would get housework done and pretty much hang out with him watching wrestling until it was time to go. Now I went back and told my bosses that I felt bad for getting paid to watch TV with the guy, there like no no don't feel bad you are doing your job as exactly was meant to be. So let me get this straight I got the housework done and watched wrestling with him for 3 hours and this was perfectly fine. O ok so I had to load the tapes in the VCR because he was not able to but I sure did love that job. Basically someone there to keep an eye on them and make sure they don't get into trouble. If I was you I would try this option first, and the Visiting Nurse will let you know how they feel if anything else is needed. I think the nurse came 2 times a week to check on my client, but it is also as needed another client of mine had a nurse visit every other week. My mom when she had it had a nurse check on her once a month..... So I would definatly check into something like that for your dad.
  13. Ok unless they have made better ones I tried this once back in 2004 it killed my alternator, plus my fridge kept throwing the breaker on the inverter...
  14. There Happy now!!!!
  15. Lol thought I did already, come I have updated my bike didn't know had to update other things..
  16. WRONG!!! In so many ways, but hilarious!!
  17. Only chicken places I like is Charlies and Popeyes, kids seem to like the chick filet but I only found the grilled chicken good enuff to give a second thought, as I have got to try most the other stuff they have. They are the only ones around who have the indoor play place for the kids.
  18. Now this one I like, not sure why but I like it alot....
  19. Long weekend, hell your not that far from me. I am in Joplin now, tried to send smoke signals up for @cowpuc but get he didn't see the Bat Signal.
  20. Who lives in Neosho? I use to but live off of Route 66....
  21. I believe you they are fun for that I am sure, Ever road a pocket rocket. HOLY Hell never did I figure I would see 50mph on such a small bike and get this it was within feet. now that little thing was fun!! Guy claimed 60 was top speed, I do not know but that little thing was fun and I would own one of them lmao, now explain that!! I didn't call meself a biker with that little thing didn't start claiming to be a biker till I got Tinker, sure I had scoots and dirt bikes, but never once said I was a biker. At first felt kind of strange saying I was a biker on a Yamahammer, but I love to yamahammer around. I still think she is more bike then a Hardly at least I can go weeks without working on her.... even when she isn't 100%.. Can't say I will never own a Hardly but would not look forward to the parts bills!!!
  22. Robert Maas Mark Simmons no argument there I believe if they hadn't come out with the new Milwaukee Eight they would be headed into the abyss. They are also overpriced, which is one reason they are having a hard time attracting younger riders. The new CVO's are priced over the moon which is why I'll never buy another one. I was very disappointed Yamaha chose to only air cool the latest touring bike, from what I've read it has everything for those long touring trips. I know some guys that swear by the Gold Wing for the long touring trips, and as my wife are getting close to full retirement that may be the way we'll go. After 37 years I retired 8 years ago, but went back to work after 3 months. Some of my younger coworkers asked OMG why did you go back to work? My reply is I own a Harley lol. Another post I found on the new Venture from facebook. I am still left amazed by what seems to be a very big mistake, Now pucster got himself an R1 which isn't my view of a true motorcycle and it makes my blood curtle when I here someone claim to be a biker and only own a Rocket, my eyes this is and never will be a Bike.... But still want to ride one... but couldn't own one... be lucky to ride it for more then 20 minutes before I get the feeling of being hit by a truck again...
  23. Scott Sledgister The Yamaha Venture used to be a 4 cylinder water cooled shaft drive bike. Now it's a vtwin air cooled belt driven bike with dual headlights. It looks great and is likely an amazing machine but who can really argue with a straight face that it's not a HD Road Glide clone? Yamaha is going straight after Harley lunch and dessert.
  24. Chick filet here is closed on Sundays. thats so they can go to church and stuff, I didnt know they would even open else where on Sundays it was my understanding it was a requirement in the franchise part.
