Who in here has been in accidents. I have to wait till Wednesday for some reason some 5 day letter due to owner and driver of truck that hit me not cooperating with there insurance company. Then was told after that they need to have someone come to confirm the damage? Why have I went and got 4 different estimates? They all basically state the same its totalled!! Meanwhile I'm milking whitey for all he is worth hoping he holds out. I can't get rental or haven't been offered one. I know the first offer will be a low ball!! Was talking to my landlord today he is 3rd person to tell me they will only pay half what my Tahoe was worth high side of private party sale price was $7400 last week this week its saying $6200. I will still have to get plates transferred which in Missouri you pay sales tax at title transfer so you figure in the 8.752% here in Joplin. I also owe $1001.96 on the truck come next Friday before I make my $205.00 payment.. I'm just slightly worried I won't get what I need to replace my Tahoe. I have geico I'm above state minimums I would have to look at mine but I got $50 comp and $250 collision with $2,000 for medical for $31 a month. I can go up to $10,000 in medical for $45 a month my motorcycle insurance has never went up or down. My car insurance went up thru geico so I went to AAA for liability only its now $71 a month. Now hopefully they won't find reason to raise me come August due to lady trying to drive thru me. After this accident and the lady never hitting the brakes and walking away with basically neal injuries after being rear ended at 45-50mph I will be finding me another Tahoe or chevy pickup!! She did hit me with a Dodge Dakota 90 s model which also has a frame too. I do think if she hit the brakes it could have been worse outcome for her baby. So in ways I'm glad she was dumb. As you all know I have replaced everything else I'm glad orings and gaskets are cheap and if I wanted I could have used the gasket maker stuff... That shift shaft is a bit of a chore however I removed the kickstand switch to get better access to the seal. I will warn you its a PITA to remove that seal and I had a tool.. It fought me!! But its replaced and was dry but I did find a crack on neutral safety switch around the top mounting screw hole.. No way its leaking there but I did go ahead and order replacement.. No its actual oil leaking looks to be build up around bottom bolt of slave cylinder. So thinking oring or gasket is leaking there it just seems to be a little high for oil to get to but there is a part listed as oring and oil seal.. So my question is if I pull the slave cylinder to replace would I have bleed clutch I can not tell really. Never ride faster then your angel can fly. I am as free as the wind on my face.

I have been chasing a darned oil leak for ages it seems. Can the clutch slave actually be the culprit? Can I pull it out to replace orings without having to reblead the clutch and all that jive?

Your right I knew better too... this can't be the same ones, these I have been watching since June so ummm.... I will have to take a look. I know there was a set of 4 for our bikes, anyways not a biggy that may be why the one slides would not fit in my carb, Well they did but did not function right... I took them out and had them on the porch discovering they drug a little in the carbs I had in a box.

I found these a while back, I have them in a post somewhere. I have another set somewhere or was on my watch list on ebay. I am just a tad concerned how they are made. @CaseyJ955 commented about it and I decided to spend the little extra and get the 2 I was watching for 150 for both it was supposed to be for my bike.... I wished I had got these.

Found my answer here, http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?1062-Clutch-Tips I had read it before but didn't catch it; Now check all parts to see that they are within there ware limits listed. If the friction plates are ok it might be a good idea to de glaze them with a wire brush. I have listed the parts and there ware limits for both types of venture clutch. To reassemble start with one of the 6 friction plates that have the two round notches, alien the two notches with the two marks on the clutch housing, now place a metal plate on the clutch boss, repeat this until you have replaced the 6 plates then take the last plate with the large square notch and alien it with the two marks on the clutch housing .
